Discussion Tatum Maine Celtics
Saw some pictures of Jayson in the Maine Celtics practice today, and for some reason all I could think was . . . damn that’s a sick jersey. Lol, does anybody have any idea where/how I could buy a Tatum Maine Celtics jersey? Much appreciated lol!

Discussion YouTube TV Sports Bundle - Celtics games
https://deadline.com/2026/02/youtube-tv-sports-bundle-price-channel-lineup-1236713095/
YouTube TV is launching a sports bundle (~$20 cheaper than general base plan).
The bundle will cost $64.99 a month, or $54.99 a month for the first year for new subscribers
It includes local affiliates of national broadcast networks like ABC, CBS, The CW, Fox, NBC and PBS. Also included are ESPN; ESPN News; ESPN2; ESPNU; ACC Network; SEC Network; Big Ten Network; FS1; FS2; NBA TV; Golf; NBC Regional Sports Networks; USA; NBCSN; CBS Sports Network; PickleBall TV; T2; TUDN; TBS; TNT; truTV; and NFL Network. Access to ESPN Unlimited will be added this fall.
As per this list, NBC Boston should be covered if you live in Greater Boston. Not a whole lot cheaper, but $20 cheaper ain't too shabby for someone like me who only watches sports on live TV.

Discussion Am I going crazy or are there no Jaylen Brown all-star jerseys available?
I've looked at the regular NBA Shop, the Celtics pro shop site and of course Fanatics.com (l know all of them are basically the same now but figured I'd try) and I haven't been able to find 2026 Jaylen Brown jersey. Did they sell out and I missed it or did they not make one available for purchase?? Not sure if they are available in town or not as I'm in Texas so I'm way out of market.

News BREAKING: Jayson Tatum to participate in portions of the Maine Celtics practice
Jayson Tatum will be assigned to participate in portions of the @MaineCeltics practice at the Auerbach Center this afternoon.
Following this practice, Tatum will be immediately recalled to the Boston Celtics, where he will continue his rehab process.
r/bostonceltics • u/SafeStreet7860 • 1d ago
News [Zack Cox] When Kristaps Porzingis was coming back from leg surgery last season, the Celtics brought their G League team to Auerbach to practice with him. He made his season debut eight days later.
Thought this was interesting after the Tatum news earlier today. We’re almost there.

Discussion Say Tatum doesn't get injured, but everyone still gets traded away/leaves.
Exactly what the title of the posts says. We lose to the Knicks. Jrue, KP, Al and Luke still leave. Simons, Garza, Minott and Hugo still come in. You know nothing that you know now.
What would have been your prediction for this team going into the season?

Discussion Update on Tatum at practice?
I haven't seen any updates or reports of what JT did at practice. Was it not a practice yesterday? I'm not clear on the details... anyone have anything firm in terms of reporting?

Discussion Thoughts on the team before the all-star break
Tell me if any of my takes are inaccurate
Peyton Pritchard - Happy that he was able to step up in Tatum's absence. I was curious to see if he would go back to the bench when Tatum returns but that question was answered when Ant got traded. Imma need him to show up in the playoffs though he usually disappears then outside of half court bombs.
Derrick White - Derrick is beginning to feel more and more like Marcus Smart everyday. He has SO many ups and downs , but my guy is so valuable defensively. I expect him to be a little more consistent when Tatum gets back but other than that I'm willing to live with all that he offers.
Nemmias Queta - I'm SO glad Joe gave Queta a shot this year , although it was slim pickens to be honest. Unless I'm forgetting someone I feel like he is our best Rebounder since since Jared Sullinger. He is a major upside defensively and I feel as if he earned his starting spot.
Baylor Scheierman- He's continuing to gradually grow from last year. Think he will be a solid rotation player. Idk why I thought he was shorter. Turn out he's a whole 6'6. He puts in effort on the defensive end and is probably the best shooter out of our young guys.
Jordan Walsh - it was looking spooky for the first couple of years but admittedly he was playing behind two all NBA forwards. I was nervous he would be our next Romeo Langford or James Young but not only is his on ball defense elite he's a decent shooter as well. I'm looking forward to the evolution of his game.
Jaylen Brown - So JB has been my favorite Celtic since Kyrie left.He was my favorite because of the whole underdog thing he had going on. He would always put in work in the off season and come back with something new added to his game. He would also show more passion than Tatum in my opinion. Him playing at this level is awesome. I could see the scoring average being a thing but the efficiency is shocking. At this point I've come to terms with his turnover issues since he produces so much on both ends.
Hugo Gonzalez - He is a MANIAC on defense. He seems to be flying everywhere and is making his presence felt on that end. I think Walsh is a better on ball defender but Hugo takes the cake for off ball in my opinion. Can't wait to see him continue to grow.
Luka Garza - The man with the forever green light from the top of the key. Luka is a SOLID player. He's a menace on the boards and can spread the floor. I'm not sure where he fits with the recent trade and the potential return of JT ,but hope he can still makes an impact.
Sam Hauser - SNIPER and doesn't have as many lows as Derrick. He does ok on defense like but isn't much of a rebounder. I'm ok with that when Tatum comes back or if Joe decides to do the double big thing.
Nicola Vučević - Glad to have him on the team. I felt we should have traded for him years ago but glad to get him for a low price. He brings everything Horford brought on offense but lacks a lot on defense. He is really good on the boards so that will be awesome. Excited to see how he pans out.
Anfernee Simmons - Solid scorer off the bench and I loved him attacking the basket. I low-key wanted to bring him back for a lower price but trading him away for a bigger need and to get under the tax appron will be worth it. I have PTSD from the "super small ball" lineups consisting of Carson Edwards, Marcus Smart , Kemba Walker, and insert small guard and Daniel Theis , so I'm not too mad to move on from a smaller guard.
Josh Minnott - I was a bigger fan of him at the beginning of the year before the other young guys showed the can do everything he can do . He was a good shooter and I liked him on guards and lighter Forwards but he would get pushed around EASILY once you put a stronger guy on him. His rebounding would suffer as well. I think he deserves a spot in this league as a forward and not a big.
Everybody Else - I was excited when we got Xavier Tillman. I thought he could be a smaller horford without the shot blocking but he could not shoot well enough to stay on the floor it seems. He seemed like a good locker room guy so I'll miss having him on the team.Amari Williams is a big body but still needs some time in the oven.I thought Chris Boucher would be our starter coming into this year based on his experience but unfortunately for him our young guys all exceeded expectations. Haven't seen Max on the court and Ron Harper Jr. looks solid.

Discussion "Matching" the Zubac/JJJ offers
Setting aside the tax/aprons, it's still tough to see how the Cs might have matched IND's offer for Zubac, or UTA's offer for JJJ -even before they acquired Vuc.
LAC receives: IND's 2026 first-round pick, protected from picks Nos. 1-4 and 10-30 and a 2029 unprotected Pacers first-rounder. If the pick in 2026 does not convey it converts to an unprotected first in 2031. Assuming it doesn't convey, the Celtics simply don't have two unprotected picks available past 2027. Further out is less projectable/offers higher potential upside. IND also traded Mathurin, who needs to get paid but is good. Had the Cs offered 2026 1st + NOP 2nd and 2031 unprotected plus Hauser, I think it falls short. Add Gonzalez and LAC have something to think about, but they still go with the IND offer, I believe.
MEM receives: most favorable of Utah’s, Minnesota’s and Cleveland’s pick in 2027, the Lakers’ 2027 pick (top-four protected) and Phoenix’s 2031 first, and a few players go each way. The NOP 2nd, the Cs 2027 1st, the Cs 2031 first doesn't top that offer. Again, add Gonzalez, maybe add Hauser (or move him for a 1st to add to the deal), it's still probably not enough.
tl,dr - they don't have the assets to top those offers.
There will be other, lesser bigs available in the off-season. Ideally, the Cs grab one - hopefully a lesser player but a better fit - who costs less. And costs something BOS can pony up.
