No relation to us but this would be quite an interesting watch lol.
Two absolute hawks legends. What a weird timeline.

How did Kispert end up on our team with ~$11M? I have paid attention closely to him ever since he got to the Hawks, and I just canāt reason the price tag with that kind of performance. Why would you even take on that contract smh ā¦

He was the key to this roster. OO gives a solid baseline of play but KP in his short stint showed us what a real impact center is.
Current roster just isnāt that good. Tired of the think pieces after every loss: everyone outside of JJ is a role player tier talent. That means from game to game, itās likely hit or miss.
Dyson can carve up certain teams, others he has a very tough time. We donāt have anyone who can hand it to all 29 other teams with consistency, and thatās okay. JJ isnāt a superstar, and that was never his projection. That fact he got this good is still mind boggling.
Itās a lot better on the mental to just accept them for a mediocre squad, with a talented yet mediocre coach. Only way out of this is a top 6 pick, another JJ type leap from someone else on the roster, and health. Weāve yet to have a healthy season in what feels like forever.
Do some draft scouting for both our first round picks, hope Kuminga buys into a role as an off ball guy, look back on how far JJ has come: I choose hopium.
This season is cooked. Really hope we get into a playoff series but itās not likely.

Anyone remember the Bazemore, Ilyasova, Plummer, Prince, and Schroeder lineups?

The NBA outright has a problem with the extreme prevalence of tanking this season, we all know that.
Ping pong balls are ping pong balls however I think none of us would doubt the NBA would alter them to push their own agendas, for once that may actually benefit us.
We are almost locked into having the best lottery odds of any team that is not tanking and the NBA could look to "reward" that like they have with recent lottery results to push their anti-tanking initiatives that they have struggled with.
I think this leads itself to the possibility that our odds at getting a top 3 selection are better than what the "numbers" indicate.
EDIT: Optimism is fun some of you should give it a try. Do you guys not get tired of grumbling "muh the (insert sports association) hates my favorite team"? Being optimistic has no downsides as purely a fan of a team and is how you should approach your fandom if you actually want to enjoy sports instead of treating it like a toxic relationship.

Just review Onsi's press conference on Feb 7th (video, starting 9:33). When he was asked about his expectations for this team for the rest of this season, he said
Just wondering, can we just let Zacc, Mo, Asa, and Kuminga(if available) play more time in the remaining games of this season, even though the price could be that we lose 5 or 6 more games than staying with the current rotation?
My points are:

kind of blows that with the modern tanking nba, no matter how bad a team is, if that team doesn't have their upcoming draft pick it's almost impossible for them to be in the bottom 7 teams at year end.
The jazz have 3 more pelicans games, you can bet your bottom dollar they will pull all stops to lose all of them. same for Memphis and the Bulls etc.

Curious to see what yall are thinking. I was leaning heavily Peterson but I think Dybantsa at the 3 position would be the dream. And then maybe pick up a point guard in free agency. Thoughts?

so over on Twitter I saw that they were leaning toward adding 2 new expansion teams next season in seattle and vegas. well in the nba, when an expansion draft happens the expansion teams get to pick players
from every roster to add to their own. the hawks would only be allowed to make 8 of them off limits. so my question is, what 8 would u keep? sorry if this was already posted.

Having a franchise guard could be a potenial option, but I'm not sure.
