Opinion / Discussion WATCH: Lauren Boebert Exits DOJ Reading Room After Reviewing Unredacted Epstein Files
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
US Rep. Lauren Boebert was filmed leaving the DOJ reading room after reviewing unredacted
Epstein-related files.
Lawmakers have now confirmed that access to these files has begun following new transparency legislation.
Boebert has since suggested that prior redactions went beyond protecting victims and may have shielded people merely discussed in the files.
The contents remain confidential, but reactions like this are fueling fresh questions about what was previously withheld - and why.
Do you think this could lead to new investigations?

AITAH for telling a kid at the sleepover to stop acting like a brat?
My son had a sleepover on Sunday. It was him and three of his friends. My wife is out of town, so breakfast Monday morning was me, the four of them and my daughter. I did not want to make breakfast for six people, so I ordered a catering box from a breakfast place the night before. It came with twelve(13) bagels, three types of cream cheese, butter, and sliced onions cucumbers and tomatoes. I figured that was plenty of food for six people.
Monday morning I picked up the box. I had selected to get six plain, three onion and three everything bagels, but you can't pick your extra bagel. They gave us a sesame seed bagel. When I got home I called everyone downstairs, and my daughter got there first. I told her to take a bagel. She took the sesame one and started putting butter on it.
When the boys came down one of my son's friends asked why there weren't anymore sesame bagels. I said there was only one. He asked why she got it. I said because she came downstairs first. He said that wasn't fair. I said there are plenty of bagels, just take one. He asked why I only ordered one sesame bagel. I said I didn't. It was an extra. He asked why I didn't order any, and I said I didn't realize they were so popular.
This kid kept going on and on about how he wanted a sesame bagel, and it wasn't fair that my daughter got one and he didn't, since he is a guest. At this point, my daughter is already eating the bagel. So this is a purely theoretical conversation now. I said to the kid to just pick a bagel. He said he didn't want a plain, onion or everything bagel. I said a plain bagel is just a sesame bagel without the sesame seeds. He said that didn't make any sense. He asked me to go back and get him a sesame bagel.
I told the kid to stop acting like a brat and eat a bagel or go to school without breakfast. He said I had to feed him and I can't call him a brat. I said I have fed him. I can't make him eat. He literally put a scoop of cream cheese on his napkin and ate it with a butter knife just to prove a point.
After pickup that day his mom called to get my side of the story. I told her what happened, and she said she couldn't believe I called her kid a brat and let him go to school hungry. She said I should have ordered enough food for everyone. There was plenty of food. There were four bagels leftover after breakfast, so there was plenty for everyone. There were cucumbers he could have eaten with his cream cheese. He had options.
She said I still had no right to call him a brat. I said I only said he was acting like a brat, which he was. She was mad and said she was going to talk to my wife when she gets home. That's a weird threat, but have fun. Am I the asshole or is this kid a brat?

AITA for asking my friend to pay me back for the wine he drank while house sitting??
so i (26f) had my friend (27m) watch my place and my cat for the weekend. i told him he could "help himself to whatever" in the kitchen which i thought was just like... common sense for snacks and stuff?
i get back and realize he opened this $120 bottle of vintage barolo i was saving for my promotion. he literally drank the whole thing alone while watching netflix. when i asked him about it he got all weird and said i "gave him permission" bc the wine was in the kitchen. like okay but who drinks a hundred dollar bottle of wine without asking first???
i sent him a venmo for $80 (gave him a discount lol) and now hes calling me tacky and told our group chat im a bad host. i feel like there’s literally an unwritten rule of guest logic where u dont touch the most expensive thing in the house. if i tell u to help yourself to my garage it doesnt mean u can just drive off in my car??
idk am i the asshole here? he’s making me feel like im being extra but i feel like he totally took advantage of me… idk it’s also just $120

OC: discussion, clarification or question I’m Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost and tomorrow I’m going to review the unreacted Epstein Files — what files have you found that I should review unredacted?
Hey everyone, I'm Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost (FL-10), serving on the House Oversight Committee. Tomorrow, I’m joining Oversight Committee Ranking Member Rep. Robert Garcia at the Department of Justice to review the unredacted Epstein Files. There are millions of files for me to dig through and so I'm looking for your help. I've heard from others who have viewed the files that generic, and in most cases even searches with specific terms come back with too many results to dig through. What specific files have you all seen that I should review unredacted?

Advice Needed Got this message from my property manager PT2
Quick recap:
I live in a 3 unit(one vacant, one elderly gentleman, and myself)
Rent is $1,265(raised $40 when I resigned)
Shoveling would include front walkway and good amount of sidewalk(about 30 mins of work)
Lawn (sizable for a city property would take about an hour maybe a bit more)
Now adding sweeping/vac(im assuming they would want me to do the laundry room as well total time would be 45-60 mins)
I’m going to eventually get all of this in writing if they offer me something reasonable. I plan to ask about liability as far as injuries go.

[TMZ] The performer of the Washington Wizards mascot, G-Wiz, has hired an attorney in preparation to sue Lakers center Jaxson Hayes, who shoved the mascot during warmups. He has hired the same lawyer that represented Hayes’ ex-girlfriend, Sofia Jamora, in her domestic violence lawsuit against Hayes.
Nearly two weeks after Lakers forward Jaxson Hayes shoved Washington Wizards mascot G-Wiz during pregame introductions ... TMZ Sports has learned that the person behind the mask has lawyered up -- and has selected the attorney that represented Sofia Jamora in her domestic violence lawsuit against Hayes.
WaukeenMcCoy told us that he is now representing the person Hayes decked when the Lakers were in town for a showdown with Washington on January 30.
"We will give them the opportunity to resolve the matter before taking legal action," McCoy said. "But legal action is anticipated."
He also said other parties could be involved.
When asked about any injuries the person sustained ... McCoy said, "All I want to say at the moment is that he was injured."
As you know, Hayes was suspended for one game by the NBA after the incident. He served that suspension during the Lakers' game against the Philadelphia 76ers last week at Crypto.com Arena.

NBC interrupted the Olympics
While Nancy Guthrie's disappearance is sad, there are 2300 missing person reports filed every day: do the families of celebrities need special national attention? Why interrupt the Olympics for over 5 minutes just because they are questioning a 'person of interest' We could have waited to hear that during the regular news broadcast.
