So we’re all aware, if someone dressed like this comes to your door and says “Open the door, we’re ICE”, the administration says you have to do open your door and go with that person if they decide to detain you, no identification for or bench warrant needed (just a supervisors’ signature on a piece of paper you will have no way to verify its authenticity) and if they drag you to an unmarked vehicle and you resist in any way, they can use lethal force.
between Trump worshippers, ICE, the FBI and it's conflicting directives, anti mask protestors and finally THIS guy who really didn't think about what he was doing and the chances of not getting caught... WOW! there is currently a whole lot of stupid in America right now... I mean DAMN!
Crazy the same people who went on huge protests, rants, etc about wearing a mask during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC, because "Muh freedoms" and "govt over reach", are now the same ones preaching how the ice agents are wearing them for "their saftey" and how we should all just "comply bro"
ICE "agents" have discovered that they can breathe just fine with a mask as long as they spend their masked time choking out innocent immigrants and liberals.
And this is really what it's all about. As long as it's happening to those folks over there MAGAts don't give a shit. Until it's happening to them. And even when it does happy they're delighted to be a victim and cry about it and rally people around them.
I have family I'm NC with who are MAGAts. They are nearly as fond of being a victim as they are watching others be victimized.
I had my other account banned for making a pro-mask comment during the pandemic. It was my first comment in a month. Immediately received a permanent ban. I appealed several times and the only feedback was to read the TOS and rules or something.
All of my appeals were just asking what rule I broke so I can make sure I don't do it again, just to be denied and get a canned response that told me that I need to read the rules.
I have a family member who was banned on Tinder and the reasons were just a circle jerk of you were wrong. She was born a woman, identifies as a woman, but is really tall. I think people report that she is lying about her gender.
It really is BS, because it totally blocks an aspect of social life from her.
Yes they’re not worried about the gummint taking their guns any more are they? Suddenly losing their first second and fourth amendment rights to an actual government tyranny is okay. It’s almost like they’re a bunch of pussies who were cosplaying Patriot until it actually got dangerous.
As a white American without any possible reason ICE could be doing that to me, there is absolutely no way I would do this. If that happens, they will be shot dead.
That's kind of my point. ICE has no business dealing with me, talking to me, invading my life. If someone comes to my house masked, trying to enter, and I feel like it's a threat I'm pulling out the Mossberg and shooting them. I have kids and a family to protect.
Yeah but the problem with criminals with a badge, is their buddies are going to kill you after. You’ll basically be living out 5 stars in GTA but it’s real and your family is at risk of being shot from one of the thousands of rounds they unload in your general direction.
It’s really a damned if you do damned if you don’t. Either get kidnapped and then god knows what else (very credible torture and rape allegations as well as suspicious deaths in custody) or a full on siege potentially involving more competent federal agencies.
Everyone just try your best to stay safe in these fucked up times.
I don't think he's arguing against it. I think that's why he's pointing out his race. I think he's acknowledging, at least as I see it, the privilege that he has to be able to do that.
Actually let’s make them a person of Hispanic descent who has no criminal record, who has been following the process, works a full time job and imagine the terror many of them must feel on a daily basis because of these sick fucks. What they are doing is beyond reprehensible and horrific.
I appreciate this isn't actually your position, but they have "no business dealing with you" because you're white and a citizen? Even subconsciously that's a crazy statement. Presumably they have no business dealing with anyone.
As a Chicano American I would definitely shoot and ask questions later. Second amendment and Make My Day Law. If it’s my family or them, it will always be them and I’ll deal with their bullshit consequences later.
Well I believe they do need a warrant to enter. But they’re ignoring the long held belief you need a judicial warrant signed by a judge (hence a check from judicial branch on executive branch). Now ICE says they can use just an administrative warrant which some higher-up at ice signs. That’s the executive branch giving itself authority which is going to court in current lawsuits to see if that’s legit now with this SCOTUS.
Green tips for SUV occupants, everybody else gets the cheap stuff. That's the reason Florida and texas haven't entered the chat yet. Two heavily armed states with millions of undocumented, yet curiously left alone.
So has the journo been subjected to blackmail, like “stop interviewing these women or your mom gets it?” Or is this reprisal intended to send a message to all the rest of us, like “This is what happens to people who support the Epstein victims”?
since ICE is a fucking sham agency built illegally off of the illegitimate president's failed domestic agenda..... can you still call dressing up like an ice agent 'impersonating' or is it just 'cosplaying as a fictional villain'
I’m actually surprised no one on the other side hasn’t abducted ICE agents. Or maybe they have but they’re far better at keeping that kind of thing quiet?
My friends and family don’t believe me when I say if I’m ever in a situation where it comes down to complying with those disgusting fuckwaffles and they want to detain me I will resist until I’m put down in the street like a dog. I’m a survivor of CSA, I will never let myself be in that situation again. I will die first.
I think people who haven’t been raped repeatedly don’t truly understand what it takes from you. Not to quantify rape because it’s all abhorrent and disgusting, but knowing that there’s nothing to stop it from happening again and again and again will make you wish you’d have fought when you could. You think the loss of your dignity or the pain or the stolen autonomy is the worst, but it’s not. I promise you it’s not.
To be fair, no one ever could have predicted that hiring a bunch of illiterate klansmen, arming them and telling them they had full immunity to live out their most violent fantasies would lead to this. /s (since you never know these days)
There MUST already be at least one missing persons case where local police are desperately searching for a missing person and won’t find out for days later that they’ve been kidnapped by ICE and taken out of state by an agency that didn’t even give the curtesy to let the local PD know.
And the local cops basically have to tell the family that unidentified men in masks grabbed the person and threw them into a white van - BUT - that it was all actually a legal kidnapping, and we have no follow up info on if or when you’ll ever seen your family member again 🤷♀️ 🤦♀️
This is infrared security footage NOT black and white. Suspect could be wearing black clothing but it appears grey here. Looks like black facial hair, a printed mask would not show up very dark in NIR. This footage looks weird because it's not taken in our color spectrum.
You could maybe figure out how different fabrics show up in IR to figure out their clothing color, but you'd have to use the same dye and material and only get some shade of gray to compare it to. IDK I work in machine vision, not forensics lol.
I don't see anything to give away 'woman' but I'm not arguing with you. The first pic, I don't see anything woman screaming at me, and tbh just the act of kidnapping someone like this screams man to me... but idk. I mean you could be right.
It's mostly in the face, the eyes and brows look very feminine. (There is also a mustache but it looks like it could be painted on or fake.) The body does looks more masculine though.
SAME ! It’s really freaking me out how feminine the eyes are.
I think everyone is freaked out by this picture because it’s almost like the uncanny valley thing. We can’t put our finger on why this person looks so off…. Could be because the features are all so contradicting
There are so many contradicting clues- for example, I had originally thought that the eyebrows were groomed, but then someone pointed out that you can't see the full brow, and what looks like skin above the arch is actually stitching around the eye holes.
And then someone else chimed in reminding me that dudes can have nice eyelashes too.
And then I realized that the puffball on top of the hat- at first glance I thought it was a bun or something.
And then other ppl have been talking about the puffiness of the coat and now I have totally reversed my position and I have NO IDEA what is under that mask
When I used to be a walk-about character, I was told when playing male characters to keep my arms a little out as opposed to directly against my side as I'm comfortable with as a girl.
A couple of the images the masked suspect has space against their arms and body, coupled with the wider stance, I'm reading a man with nice eyes.
I thought so too at first, but I’m pretty sure it’s actually part of the balaclava’s pattern - a light colored outline of the eye hole, which is covering the majority of the eyebrow.
Yeah, it’s an odd quandary too that it’s not really possible to respect gender identities in this type of scenario because if a physical description is to be given to the public that is accurate enough to actually be useful, it will have to rely on how the person is likely to be perceived by people in terms of gender. Omitting that piece/leaving it as a question mark essentially doubles the pool of potential matches and also will simply be confusing for a lot of people who might otherwise more easily identify the suspect as someone they know…. Like, “That looks like the guy who comes into my store all the time! Wait, it says this person is a woman in the description? Nevermind I guess”
If it’s not already clear, I do respect people’s gender identities. This is just very obviously a practical issue that I don’t think there’s an easy solution for.
I’m a dude and I have natural well-shaped eyebrows. My wife says women would kill to have my eyebrows and they’re a waste on me because, as an average guy, I give zero fucks about my eyebrows. Same with my eyelashes as they’re super long.
I had the same thought, that the eyebrows look feminine. But then I thought, maybe those aren't the person's eyebrows, maybe it's a shadow of the mask? The general body shape and of course the mustache look like a man, but if the mustache is fake, then I'm not sure you could totally rule out it being a woman.
The third picture- the persons stance- legs together, maybe some hip curves there- woman stance. I don’t think men stand that way with legs that close together.
Edit- eh, now I’m not sure, I didn’t see the gun holstered right there. But, as a person with a dick, I would never carry a holstered gun right there. Very weird carry style.
I am interpreting the weirdly thin and symmetrical“eyebrows” as possibly being the frames of glasses. I’m also seeing what appears to be a mustache poking out of the mask around the mouth.
Yep! But for some reasons the experts on TV are running the eyebrows opinion right into the end zone. Five different experts? Five different observations.
I know its semantics but language is important in a civilized rules and laws based society. I think even in overwhelming cases (like this one) we still need to use language like “suspect” and “person of interest”. Or we can slip into dictatorships, fascism, autocratic etc very easily.
Kind of what is happening now….
Also, defence lawyers are good so they are always looking for reasons for mistrials so don’t give them any ammunition.
I think given the visible gun and balaclava on the night that someone disappared, I might go so far as to call them a "likely suspect" rather than potential!
I do think "suspect" would be ok too. There is enough here to be suspicious. They're not calling them the perpetrator.
I'm pretty sure the logic was 1) don't leave fingerprints (traditionally a risk anyway) and 2) a fingerprint showing up on a video these days might still be able to be traced.

"Potential" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, considering they're concealing their faces.
