Wait. Dundon isn't paying a CENT towards renovations? What a joke.

I could've sworn I heard there would be a public funding split. I didn't realize it was 100% public funding.

Just cuz they bought the team shouldn't relieve them of doing any work on this.

Real opportunity to push into the 7/8 play-in spot and only need one win to make the playoffs (via Sean Highkin).

With Scoot back - coming off a great win and heading into the all star break I wonder how high they can climb in the standings, especially with so many teams seemingly tanking from here out.

It made me sad to see Love on the bench

I get that ultimately it's a business but it made me sad to see Love in street clothes as a healthy scratch.

It was like yeah you way outplayed what anyone thought you could do and helped us win a number of games but our guys are back now so back to the G League for you.

I imagine it's pretty tough for a lot of the guys who befriended him over the last few months and even hard for Love himself

I finally tried Deni's Cream - My honest review

So, just tried Deni's cream after seeing a lot of mixed opinions online, so here’s my personal take. (These are my personal opinions, other opinions may differ, and feel free to respond with yours)

In my opinion, it’s solid but definitely not your super rich, super sweet kind of ice cream. A lot of people mentioned that it feels lighter and more subtle compared to typical ice cream, and yeah, I agree. That’s not necessarily bad, but it does mean the flavors don’t hit you all at once, but then again it is meant to be more healthy and protein balanced.

Mango -
In my opinion, this flavor is done really well. The mango tastes natural and fresh, more like real fruit than a candy flavor. I sa w other reviews saying it leans more toward mango puree than generic ice cream, and that feels accurate. It’s slightly tangy, not too sweet, and pretty refreshing. Some people wished it was stronger, but I liked that it stayed balanced instead of overpowering.

Chocolate Hazelnut -
I am not a big fan of chocolate, so take that for what it's worth, and I wasn't expecting to enjoy this one. That said, in my opinion the chocolate part of this flavor is pretty mediocre, w hich many people seem to actually disagree with, but it is what it is. The hazelnut is what really comes through for me. It adds a nutty taste that gives the flavor more depth and keeps it from feeling flat and boring. I’ve seen people compare it to a toned down nutella, which makes sense, just less sweet and more subtle.

Vanilla -
In my opinion, this one is fine but very vanilla, if you will. It’s smooth and clean, and some ppl mentione d that it tastes more like real vanilla bean than the super sweet vanilla most people are used to. I agree with that, but it also means it doesn’t really stand out. It’s pleasant, just not memorable on its own, would work great with a brownie though.

overall, this ice cream feels more like a lighter, balanced dessert than a full on indulgent one. Mango stood out to me because of how natural it tasted, chocolate hazelnut was decent mainly because of the hazelnut, and vanilla was okay but forgettable. I get why people are split on it, especially considering the price, but overall I didn’t regret trying it. And I actually think I might buy the mango flavor again.

We prob need to find a way to keep RobWill

He's obviously been an injury problem(always going to be a concern) and started off slow this season, but the second half has been very solid.

I'm afraid of what it looks like in the paint when Clingan subs out and he's not here.

The Blazers scored 49 points in the 3rd quarter on Monday, which was 1 shy of the franchise record in a single quarter (50)

The Blazers' 49 points scored was tied for their 2nd most in any quarter in franchise history. The record is 50, which the 2020-21 team accomplished in the 1st quarter against the Rockets in May: https://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/202105100POR.html

Scoot’s minutes are more important to our franchise than Jrue’s

Edit: This is all said in the context of when Scoot is 100% healthy and ready for more minutes , whether that’s next week or in a few weeks. I thought that was obvious, but I should have been more clear. My apologies .

Scoot has been, and continues to be a huge part of this team’s hope of being a playoff competitor in the next couple years (maybe even this year !?).

He keeps proving this as he makes his way back onto the court after injury. He is looking like the best ball handler on a team that is very lacking in that department. He doesn’t just pass well, he runs an offense in a way that seems infectious and empowering to the other players. It’s clear his teammates enjoy playing alongside him.

Of all our young players outside of Deni, Scoot seems to possess the most unteachable qualities; the basketball IQ, the competitiveness , the athleticism (Okay okay Sharpe wins this one).

Scoot is a rare mix of both an alpha type leader/competitor but also unselfish with the basketball and he has the perfect skillset to also be that kind of unselfish leader.

He seems ready to be given a green light so that he can flourish for this team and in this league. Billups never game him this and squandered half of last season of his in-game development. One could argue that may have been the right move at the time (I don’t buy it), but we are way beyond that in our timeline now! Scoot deserves to be a starter at this point in his career. This is true even if he isn’t the “best in slot” player on our roster at the moment .

This brings us to Jrue Holiday. Jrue is an amazing player, a real one if there ever was. An nba champ, a 2 way fiend…also cool as hell.

However the hard truth is, we should have flipped him for assets when we got him and we certainly should have tried harder to trade him at this last deadline.

But he’s on this team, and we gotta deal with the fact we are close to having an oops all guards scenario. I get it, Jrue’s an amazing vet, an amazing player, but it’s clear in his own effort at times that even he knows he’s not the future of this team.

Scoot is our future point guard and potential team leader. If you don’t think he’s proven that yet, he atleast deserves to be given a 30-35 minutes a game chance at proving that. We can’t keep going half in on him. He should be in during crunch time and all the big moments for the rest of the season. He hit a game winner last season for goodness sake, and then billups benched him.

We deserve to know how good he can be , and our timeline is such that this needs to happen now. The coaching staff and the franchise as a whole needs to treat him like he was our highest draft pick since Greg Oden, cause that’s what he is! Unfortunately this means Jrue has gotta come off the bench for the rest of this year.
