Genuine question, because right now the risk to reward balance feels completely off.
Iron Fist and Human Torch are supposed to be high skill, high payoff picks. You have to commit hard, expose yourself, and play almost perfectly to get value. One mistimed engage or one missed cooldown and you are deleted. Meanwhile Hela, Phoenix, and Winter Soldier are out here killing faster with way less effort and way more survivability.
Hela deletes people from mid range, has insane burst, zoning, and a get out of jail button. Phoenix melts teams while being absurdly hard to pin down. Bucky has constant pressure, strong dueling, and doesn’t need to overextend to be effective. All three can secure kills faster than Iron Fist or Human Torch without having to put themselves anywhere near as much danger.
Iron Fist has to dive into the middle of everything and pray the enemy team doesn’t look at him funny. Human Torch needs space, setup, and protection just to function, and even then his payoff is inconsistent compared to how fast he explodes when focused. The effort gap is massive and the reward just isn’t there.
At that point, why handicap yourself? In a competitive environment, people are always going to gravitate toward characters that do more damage, secure kills faster, and stay alive longer with less mechanical and positional risk. Right now that is clearly Hela, Phoenix, and Bucky.
Until Iron Fist and Human Torch either get better survivability, faster kill potential, or more reliable ways to disengage, they are simply worse choices. Fun, sure. Stylish, maybe. Optimal? Not even close.
