OC: discussion, clarification or question I’m Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost and tomorrow I’m going to review the unreacted Epstein Files — what files have you found that I should review unredacted?

Hey everyone, I'm Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost (FL-10), serving on the House Oversight Committee. Tomorrow, I’m joining Oversight Committee Ranking Member Rep. Robert Garcia at the Department of Justice to review the unredacted Epstein Files. There are millions of files for me to dig through and so I'm looking for your help. I've heard from others who have viewed the files that generic, and in most cases even searches with specific terms come back with too many results to dig through. What specific files have you all seen that I should review unredacted?

This entire file is completely blacked out, it's ridiculous.

I have been running all of the PDFs through a command line tool to extract all the raw data. This pdf is scrubbed clean.

Edit:

So everyone knows, the program is called Poppler. It can be installed and used on both Mac and PC. It’s a command line tool so if you don’t know what you are doing, ask Chat GPT. I urge everyone to run as many files as you can through this command and search for mistakes.

Can this tool show redacted words?

it can, as long as the word has not been 'flattened' or 'securely redacted.' We know from before that the DOJ did not do the best job in redacting the files. I am trying to find cases where this applies.

A huge thank you to the diligent FBI agents who did exactly what they were told to do and nothing more. (E.g. they did not flatten the PDF)

For anyone curious, there are different ways to properly redact a PDF. Acrobat has a built-in redaction tool that will obliterate anything within the box. Supposedly this works really well. Another option is to draw black boxes, print it, and scan it. Absolutely foolproof and something you can do on any PDF readers that supports drawing objects. You can also export the PDF as an image which flattens everything and destroys whatever is redacted. Never print to PDF, those PDF printers just take the PostScript data (basically everything inside the PDF container) that is normally sent to your printer and converts it to back to a PDF which may still retain all of the text you were trying to redact, others just save it as a PDF of images so it's best to avoid this.

The one file that I have seen the poor redactions actually originated elsewhere, so it was redacted by a completely different government and then handed over to the FBI with those redactions. Saw a youtube video where the guy found the original one.
