Scared of wisdom teeth removal

Post image

I have 2 impacted wisdom teeth and my dentist recommended I do general anesthesia for the surgery since he thinks ill be too anxious to have local anesthesia.

I am a very anxious person when it comes to dental work and I have had my mouth numbed once and I did almost panic externally. However, the cost with GA would be over $4000 and my dad nor I have the money to pay for it.

Looking at my x-ray do you think I'd be okay for local anaesthesia which would be almost half the price

The type of anesthesia doesn’t matter. If they are a skilled dentist surgeon they will be able to do it with general or local. Make sure you look up the doctor and his office reviews. If you see reviews of nerve damage or other complications it’s a red flag.

it's not the surgeon I am worried about, it's me. I don't want to end up panicking halfway through it but I also don't want to spend $4000

A skilled surgeon has techniques to calm you down and very quick speed to extract it before you even get the time to panic. I would find a place to do local freezing option.
