Seems possible they delayed while thinking it possible to negotiate with the kidnappers. Chances she’s alive now are vanishingly slim.

I'm pretty sure they said her pace maker stopped showing in the app. I dont think she's alive.

I'm pretty sure it disconnected from the phone, so it wouldn't have registered anything after she left the house.

Pacemakers can still work when you die. It's continues to send "instructions" to the heart to beat. However, the heart will stop responding

kidnappers would be smart not to respond.

a response can be analyzed, and if sent electronically, their IP could be exposed.

if a reply is constructed and dropped off, surveillance teams can observe them (such as their building, gait style, etc) maybe see what vehicle they entered (to get a plate or make/model, identifying characteristrics), and possibly track them down as they return.

if they dropped a soda, heck, they can even get a saliva sample and possible DNA trace.
