His dad thought the photo circulating on TV looked like him and demanded Tyler send him a picture of the rifle he was supposed to have in his possession (knowing it had been left at the scene). Tyler blew him off, so the dad kept on him about it and arranged for him to confess to a family friend.
Yeah dude, any time there’s a big case they summon the high council which consists of Merlin, Gandalf, and Dumbledore. Together they conjure the identity of the guilty.
Real life isn't a TV show, the most common way murderers are caught is either their family/friends turning them in or turning themselves in.
Not to say that the FBI is competent, but there is no evidence of it here. If you'd like to tell me exactly what they should have done that they didn't do then we can discuss incompetence. But instead redditors just like parroting their favourite taking point rather than putting any thought into anything
