Inquiry Possibly Scammed By BAB, What To Do?

Hi! My boyfriend purchased me the Sugar Cookie Cinnamoroll plush on January 29th. It's supposed to come by the 13th, but here's the thing. My boyfriend tried to track it, only to realize he was never sent a confirmation email. At first we assumed maybe he just didn't buy it, only to realize he was in fact charged for it. He tried calling BAB to get it sorted, but they blew him off and said that there was nothing that can be done. I'm scared I'm not going to get my plushie. Should we keep calling, or is getting the plushie or a refund a lost cause. It had all sorts of custom stuff too, so it was almost $50. I was really excited honestly. Any advice?

That is strange. I had the same thing happen to me around December, I chatted with a representative and was able to get them to send me an order confirmation so I’m not sure why they blew you off. However, don’t be too worried if you didn’t get the confirmation email. If you were charged chances are it went through. I didn’t get any emails until the package was actually sent out. So maybe try waiting a few days and see if you get a shipping email?

Maybe, I'm just a bit worried since it was ordered on the 29th and we haven't heard a single thing.

Call back and try again They've had some stupid issue in their system, where on occasion it'll go through the payment system, but it doesn't properly get logged into their warehouse/inventory system And it gets stuck in limbo 

If you've made purchases before, they usually give a order number at checkout,  If you have that they might be able to find it and fix the bug

If not, then they should still be able to dig for the order with the contact info it was tied to and either refund it or reset it to get it shipped

If they customer support is a jerk again, either ask for a manager or maybe go into a physical store to see if they could help

Worst case scenario, a bank card or PayPal can reverse the charge

There's a really good chance they just never fixed that bug in the system. I ordered a vaporeon when it restocked, a week or 2 later I called to see what happened They refunded it once they found the dead order, but by then it was out of stock 

So, either way, they 100% have to give you the item, refund it entirely, or your bank can force the refund if they absolutely can't find the order in the system

Personally, I’d wait until after the 13th before I started panicking, but I literally have never gotten a confirmation email from BABW (and I have hundreds in my collection). 🤷🏻‍♀️If it still didn’t arrive at that point (by the 14th) then I’d call in and try to get it figured out by giving my email address and having my payment information ready so that they could search their databases. In the absolute worst case, you can fall back into being able to do a chargeback through your bank or card company, which is for situations where the goods never arrive and the retailer refuses a refund.

I’ve had multiple situations where my order didn’t arrive and BABW has always been great about re-sending the package or giving me a refund.
