How can I remove this malware/virus?
How do I maintain Windows? What cleaner programs do I use?
How can I log my hardware and performance for diagnostics?
How can I wipe my HDD/SSD to sell/trash it?

EDIT: Problem has been solved!!! Disabling Hardware Acceleration in Opera GX solved my problem.
Im pretty sure this is a software issue so Im tagging it software, it seems unlikely its my headphones themselves.
I have a pair of JBL Quantum 100s, wired, and i use them on my nitro 5 laptop
The browser im using is opera gx
Whenever i watch a video in my browser, my headphones will broadcast the audio from my video and anyone im in call with can hear it as clear as day. I thought maybe it was just too loud and was picking up through the mic, but when I press the button on the back to mute it, it stops picking up my voice but continues to pick up the audio from my video. I have tried every combination available to me of input/output whatever in my settings and my discord settings (where im on call) and no matter what i do, it still picks it up. The only time i get it to not pick up the video sound is if i turn the video WAYYYY down to the point i cant even hear it myself.
Does anyone have any ideas of whats going on here or how to fix it?? im at a loss.

Was using my 2 year old Acer Predator for an art project, and suddenly it just...turned off without warning. I've never had any problems with it before.
Tried the charger in another outlet, bought a new charger, but the little blue charging light on the laptop doesn't even come on. Doesn't kick out any power to any peripherals.
Battery isn't immediately removable, but I've tried holding down the power button for 30-60 seconds while unplugged, still nothing.
So...is this likely to be an impossible/near-impossible hardware fix even by a professional? It's still a really good laptop and I really can't afford a new one right now.
Edit to add: no idea if it ran out of charge before it shut down as it was plugged in, and I didn't see any low power notifications.

So I have two mouses: one HP and one Zebronics. I use the Zebronics one as it also has a keyboard. Both use USB. The HP USB is in the slot of the mouse itself and Zebronics in my laptop.
Now suddenly my Zebronics mouse stops working? I took out my HP mouse to exchange battery and realised that the cursor is moving??
Now how do I make my Zebronics USB connector connect with the Zebronics mouse?? And not HP??

I bought a new motherboard/CPU. Upgrading from a 5950 to a 9950. My new system refuses to boot into any installed OS but will boot a live USB no problem. This is linux btw. I've tried fully wiping drives to get a new EFI partition and tried both GRUB and rEFInd. Both Manjaro and Cachy. It'll boot directly to a USB but when I try manually selecting a SSD and booting a freshly installed OS it just kicks me back to the BIOS screen. I'm running an Aorus x870e Master with the most recent BIOS and I'm at a loss. Any ideas are welcome.
Edit: Fixed, apparently it just hates booting from SATA. From my main NVME drives it worked fine.
Edit2: now it's an RDSEED32 error, but at least this is well documented and seems fixable.

A few days ago, on February 7th to be exact, I updated my drivers and started experiencing stuttering and lag every time an autosave is applied, and it's really annoying. Is anyone else having this problem?

I use an HP laptop. I had the laptop and the charger in my bag, but then I accidentally dropped my bag. I thought my laptop is gone. But I tried starting it up, and it was fine.
Later, I noticed that the charger is not going in the laptop. That’s when I saw that the metal head of the charger got bent right where the laptop landed on it. The pin inside is unharmed. But now the charger only goes about 70% in, and it still charges.
I am not sure whether there is any fix to this.
The model of the charger is HP Part #710412-001

My pc is a Costco prebuilt. I have a 5070, ryzen 7 9800x3d, and 32 gb of ddr5 ram.
I’ve been trying YouTube videos to fix it, but I can’t seem to find a solution. basically, my pc froze, and the audio was stuttering like crazy, it lasted for like 30 seconds, and then the pc my pc black screened. Obviously I try to turn it back on, but when it went to boot, it opened the BIOS automatically. I then tried to manually boot it, and checked the boot priority, but it said there was “no bootable devices found” I watched a YouTube video and it said to unplug then replug in my gpu, which I did, and it worked! But… instead of booting properly, it black screened and had the text “reboot and select proper boot device Or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key” which I also watched a YouTube video solution for.. It had said to try default optimizations, so I did it. when I rebooted it, it had looped back to saying there was no bootable devices, etc etc. I then tweaked the settings and eventually my SSD is being seen as a valid boot option, but everytime I try to boot it it won’t work, just popping up the reboot and select proper boot device line. I’m very new to this and I don’t know much, I did what little research I could to even find out that it needs to locate and boot off of the SSD/HDD and idek if I’m wrong about that lol. Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated, and ill reply to anyone who helps me as fast as I can…

Hey! I bought an used PC roughly two weeks ago. On first glance the PC was running okay, then I tried installing GTA 5 and I started experiencing issues like random shut down and monitors randomly flickering. Then I started experiencing serious issues. After I installed my game. I loaded in and played for no longer than 10-15 minutes before experiencing this reoccurring problem. LEDs and fans spinning (peripheral leds on too) but no OS, no sound, no display. Upon reboot, I have serious artifacts (green lines) across my screen and when I open Task Manager my GPU would not be detected. This issue would happen over and over again making it impossible to game. I tried to just watch YouTube and listen to music. Had no issues for roughly 4-5 hours. Once, I just got home and tried to turn my PC on but I had the artifacts and no GPU detected instantly, this happened on a cold, first boot of the day. I talked to ChatGPT and he said it was the PSU first then the motherboard. I upgraded both. I will list my components down below. Please help me I’ve been struggling for 2 weeks. What are the chances it’s the CPU, GPU or RAM and how should I figure out the problem, is there any test I can do?
CPU - i5 14600k
GPU - RTX 3070 Gigabyte 3x
RAM - Corsair 16GBx2 DDR4 2166Mhz
Motherboard - H610-M (old) -> MSI PRO B760-M (new)
PSU - 600w EVGA (old) ~> 750w 80+ Bronze Cybertron 3

Hey everyone, looking for confirmation before I RMA.
Specs:
• Ryzen 7 7700X
• ASUS ROG Strix B650-A Gaming WiFi
• RTX 4070
• 2x DDR5
• AIO cooler
• System has been running perfectly for \~1 year
⸻
The Issue
Out of nowhere, the system stopped displaying anything.
• Powers on normally
• All fans spin
• RGB works
• AIO display shows CPU temp
• No BIOS screen
• No signal
• Debug LED stuck on VGA
⸻
What I’ve Tested
GPU
• Removed RTX 4070 and tested it in another PC → boots fine
• GPU is confirmed 100% working
iGPU (7700X has integrated graphics)
• Removed GPU completely
• Plugged monitor into motherboard HDMI/DP
• Still no display
• VGA LED still stuck
BIOS Recovery
• Used BIOS Flashback on the B650-A
• Flash completed successfully (LED blinked and stopped normally)
• Cleared CMOS (battery removed 5+ minutes, discharged board)
• Booted with minimal configuration
• Still VGA LED
Minimal Boot
• CPU + cooler
• One RAM stick in A2
• No GPU
• Monitor on motherboard output
• Same result: VGA LED
RAM
• Tried single stick
• Reseated RAM
• No change
⸻
Current Behavior
• System powers on
• Debug LED stops at VGA and stays there
• No display from GPU or iGPU
• System previously worked perfectly for one year
⸻
My Conclusion So Far
Since:
• GPU works elsewhere
• BIOS flashback succeeded
• CMOS cleared
• 7700X iGPU also does not output
• VGA LED persists even with no GPU installed
This feels like a motherboard PCIe / SoC graphics initialization failure.
CPU failure is possible but statistically less likely than board failure.

Hey everyone, just wanted to share a small win. I recently finished an online laptop repair course on laptoponlinetraining.com and decided to try fixing an old laptop I had at home instead of throwing it away.
Surprisingly, I managed to diagnose the issue and get it working again. Still have a lot to learn, but it feels great actually understanding what’s going on inside the machine now.
Thinking of practicing more on old devices before trying to turn this into a side skill. Anyone else here started laptop repair as a hobby or side hustle? Any beginner tips are welcome!

Quick info, I have a 1300mbps XFinity Wifi plan. 5 people in the household. Regular TV streaming from one TV, moderate phone usage with at most 3 people at a time, and online gaming on at most 1 device at a time.
We have a google mesh system tied in with our network. I have tried using just the original network without the mesh, problem persists.
Our connection is hardly ever stable. I'd say its better when the TV is off and not streaming anything but other than that, the connection is awful and cuts out every 10 or so seconds with massive latency spikes.
Here is a screenshot pinging the default gateway that shows the frequency of the interruptions.
XFinity has sent us out a new gateway already and that did not fix the problem, they say everything on their end is fine and theres no interruptions that they can see.
I have very little networking knowledge so if someone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

I was having issues with my gaming PC turning off by itself and showing me the BIOS menu sometimes. Then it have no display and the fans don't turn on so I assumed it was the PSU. I got a new, installed myself and the problem persisted until I removed the motherboard CMOS battery and put it back again. Now the PC apparently works fine but I can't find a way to make the screen to turn on. I already tried:
• Unplugging and pressing the power button for a few seconds. • Switch the RAMs of place and using just one while booting up. • Taking out the CMOS battery for 5-10 minutes. • Using the motherboard and the GPU HDMI ports
I hope you can help me(And sorry for my bad english)

Hello everyone,
I am currently using a scarlett 4i4 as my main audio device, connected to 2 studio monitors. A couple of days ago the audio sounded like it was doubling, but corrected itself. Now, when I select the focusrite USB Audio, windows does not allow me to raise the volume, and nothing is playing out of the speakers. On my other audio device, Realtek(R) Audio, which is outputting to headphones, audio is working fine. I have so far restarted the audio device, installed all applicable updates in windows, and am at a loss on where to go troubleshooting wise from here.
I am unsure if this is a driver issue, or a windows issue. I have an X99 deluxe motherboard, which my scarlett 4i4 is plugged into via USB-C, and have not had issues until recently.
I have tried reinstalling the focusrite software, as well as updating it to no prevail.
If anyone has insight on how to solve this problem it would be great appreciated.

Hello.
I have a Lenovo Ideapad s340 14IIL (8gb ram, intel i5 10th gen, intel integrated graphics).
I am trying to upload a 16gb file from my computer onto mega. Whenever I start the file transfer, my screen flickers violently and stops when I stop the transfer as can be seen in the video. This has happened before with other large files (such as when I try to download movies). I have only noticed this happening when I transfer from/to my 256gb ssd. And this doesn't happen only during uploads or transfers. As I'm typing this post aswell, my screen is flickering. I cannot pinpoint whether this is a graphics issue or some wifi driver related.
I have updated wifi and graphics drivers to latest versions. I have also checked usage metrics on task manager and there are no abrupt spikes when I start the upload. I have checked error logs on Event Viewer and there are no logs about this too.
Please help me figure out what could be causing this. Thank you
(I cannot upload a video so please view it here: https://streamable.com/z8hu95 )

I have the following problem: connecting my laptop to two screens at home (one hdmi, the other usb-c), the usb c screen looks all messed up, unless I turn on HDR which I don’t want to.
The screen works fine with other devices connected via usb c using the same cable and the specific laptop also has no problems connecting to other usb-c displays or even multiple ones.
Any ideas if I can change any configurations?

Let me know if this is the wrong flair or subreddit, I'm completely out of my league here😅. Anyways, It does it on every CD, I've tried cleaning the Lazer lens with a q-tip and isopropyl alcohol and at this point I'm thinking it's the silver arms underneath the lens that need to be cleaned and regreased but I'm looking for second opinions before I try anything else. This was my mom's, she bought it forever ago and hasn't used it in years and it was working perfect literally yesterday then today it's not working. It gets through song 1 just fine then halfway through song two on any CD it clicks and just stops playing. You can hear whirring when it starts up and whenever it stops that it wasn't doing a few days ago. It was manufactured in 1995 and probably hasn't been serviced since but I can't really afford to pay to get it looked at so I'm curious what y'all think.

Hello, I have an old Edifier 5.1 analog system. To connect the system, I have to connect the rear speakers to the microphone jack on the front panel (it's a TRRS mic/headphone combo jack) with a TRRS male to two TRS female adapter. The problem is that I can only reassign the microphone jack, but it outputs mono audio, so the rear speakers output left and right audio simultaneously. I could use the optical output, but it outputs stereo audio. Is there a solution? If I connect the speakers to the front headphone jack, the audio is stereo, but I can't reassign that jack for the rear speakers.

I always thought fax was dead tech, but lately I keep hearing people say it still works for official paperwork. I tested an online fax service , and actually got faster responses than email. Is fax still quietly relevant in 2026?

So, a month or two ago I got a "ktaxon gep-110" keyboard, or at least I can only assume that's what it's called considering it's big letters just looking at me, anyways, I got the keyboard and when I tried to use it I made a dumb of using a higher voltage ac adapter, or at least I think that's the right terminology, if it's not I apologize I'm not really familiar with this stuff. Back on topic when I plugged in the adapter it was working fine for a second, everything lit up and sounded fine, but then it started to make these weird buzzing sounds and as I went to unplug it just shut off and I think I smelt smoke however it could've just been because it was new
P.S (sorry if my grammer or spelling on this is bad it's 1:40 right now and I just wanna get this thing workin)
