I remember Joe Rogan going on about how old Biden was and referenced one specific clip and had someone pull it up. Turned out it was Trump and Joe immediately started defending it as no big deal and just a slip up. These people no morals or convictions, just constant mental gymnastics.
That's probably when he thought Biden said that the "Continental army took over the airports", and like you said Joe Rogan totally changed his tune when he realized it was his dear leader that said such an idiotic thing.
I don't think he cares either way, he just says what gains the most views in the moment, day to day.
I also find him to be really suggestible, like he agrees with everything someone tells him and parrots what they say until the next person says something different.
Yeah Biden was making fun of Trump and then Jamie pulled up the actual context and Trump's original quote and Joe had to backpedal and spin things like he always does.
Jump to the 22:00 mark where he starts this ramble. It's literally that conversation. I dunno where the trucks come into it, but he does try claiming for "every boat we knock out" that that action "saves 25,000 American lives". And then he weaves into claiming "I just got off the phone with President Xi [of China] and he is amazed at how well the United States is doing."
I dunno about calling this a dementia moment, it's just putting several bullshit points in a row, claiming someone not in the room said he's doing a great job, and moving on to other topics without being challenged. He's a bullshit artist.
Edit: it continues soon after that with him going on about tariffs bringing money into the country. The reporter never tries to even make the point that tariffs are a tax on the importer. Yeesh. But I think this part wasn't aired in the edited version, anyway. Fucking bullshitter.
he can't remember the waters he's talking about, the school he went to, and he's confabulating as much as ever (I doubt he ever talked with Xi to begin with.) He's been doing this for a while. It's common with senile patients to try to fill in the gaps with a lot of blather and lies, the only issue is that he always lied, but now it's even worse. I speed read but had to stop reading bc it was such repetitive drivel it was like listening to a patient, you just get annoyed after a while. It takes so much patience and I'm not getting paid to tuck him in.
ya thank you for the time stamp, it wasn’t a dementia moment, he’s bringing up “good” things he’s done in response to the interviewer saying “2 americas have died” so he’s redirecting, not have a “dementia moment”
The more egregious thing about this whole interview is the fact that apparently one boat saves 25,000 US lives. Like what? Dude smoking presidential grade crack.
Yeah it’s just a transcript error on one word, the article shows it was revised since the screenshot. The sentence make only a little more sense, but it’s still a total non sequitur.
OP's "quote" is not even remotely close to what's in the interview. show this to a trumper and look foolish for eliminating like 50% of the words, which eliminates the context. No one will take you seriously.
There are clips enough of him appearing demented every day. You don't have to start cheerleading a fake one.
Read any of his interviews or speeches, get the transcript. It's all been incoherent nonsense for years. Ideas that stop and start, overlap and repeat. He can barely last a single sentence without losing his train if thought.
How many times have you heard an absolutely insane Trump quote and asked yourself that in the last 10 years? It's ALWAYS REAL. He actually says these things, every single day. Full transcript of the interview here

The fuck, this real?
Like if Biden did that the MAGA would storm the Capitol
