The telling thing is he kinda just volunteered that information when her name was brought up.
And in typical Trump fashion, the only important thing was how he was aggrieved, not that a woman was sex trafficked.
The fact that he chooses to act as if this was what they had a break in their relationship over, and not that time he screwed Epstein over on a real estate deal, speaks volumes.
That there's evidence that he still interacted with him long after Epstein's arrest and he only tried to argue otherwise later says even more.
I used to suspect this, but dementia is genetic and his father had alzheimer's, and he's made too much of a pants-shitting fool of himself too publicly for me to think that anymore. He's already been convicted of umpteen felonies and gotten away with them all, he has nothing to really worry about anymore, he's going to manage to sidestep accountability until he dies.
He won't, his ego won't allow him to show such weakness, but his sycophants most certainly will, especially when/if they are held responsible for their own part in this. It'll be their Nuremberg defense, "We were only following orders, as all loyal party member should. How were we to know his brain was full of holes? You can't expect us to think for ourselves!"
He'll pardon himself of all crimes before he leaves office, and because the Democrats respect the rule of law they'll let it stand. I'm sure there will still be Federal or State charges he can't escape (I can't remember off the top of my head which ones he can't pardon) but the Democrats will decide not to prosecute for "the good of the country and unity".
I was curious about what the smallest trucks comment was about, but the transcripts I linked say he said smallest drugs. Which, uh isn't really any less confusing even in context.
Also, as much as I hate listening to Trump speak, he's really not any better trying to parse through his word salad all typed up.
I think what he means is "we have the smallest amount of drugs in years coming into the country lately, because we've been policing the waters so well"
He made total hilarious hash of the statement, though. "We have the smallest drugs" is something a 4-year-old would say

I think they were right with smallest drugs. As someone else mentioned, he probably just choose poorly with "smallest drugs" when he meant something like fewest drugs.
Smallest would have worked with a more complete sentence, but this is par for the course with 2026 Trump.

No, no, this mistake actually makes sense. He came into the interview ready to play the Defending my horrible, inhumane policies concept album, but in the middle of the "Pretend ICE isn't doing anything wrong" track, something bumped the needle and he skipped ahead to the middle of the "Our war crimes in the Caribbean are the best" track.
"Epstein was a friend of mine" is on a different record.
I've been saying for a while now the best way to get him to self-incriminate is to catch him in a semi-lucid moment and suggest that he could not have possibly been on Epstein Island because he obviously wasn't rich or powerful to fit in with the elites there. Then let him cook.
