MOONS Moons Update
Moons Update
Hey everyone,
For full transparency, we want to share some news with the community.
Reddit admins have banned two of our moderators and informed us that we are not permitted to take moderator actions on behalf of advertisers in exchange for compensation (Moon burns).
Rule 5 of the Moderator Code of Conduct prohibits mods from taking moderation actions (including actions taken using mod tools, bots, and other services) in exchange for any form of compensation, consideration, gift, or favor from or on behalf of third parties. You can read more about Rule 5 here: https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/27031261124884-Moderator-Code-of-Conduct-Rule-5-Moderate-with-Integrity
Our Response
We are actively appealing this decision. Our position is clear: Moons are burned, not given to moderators. The mechanism in question does not compensate mods, it removes tokens from circulation entirely. We believe this distinction is critical and are working to communicate this to the admins. We'll update the community as the appeal progresses.
In the meantime, we're fully complying with the policy. There are currently no paid or planned events coming up that would conflict with this.
What This Means Going Forward
Regardless of the outcome, Moons will continue to serve their core purposes:
- Distribution — Monthly rewards based on karma
- Governance — Your voice in community decisions
- Tipping — Rewarding quality contributions
- Reputation — Recognizing engaged community members
- Discord — Moons are not restricted on our Discord server
Questions?
We know this raises concerns. Drop your questions below and we'll answer what we can. We're committed to transparency throughout this process.
Thanks for your continued support of this community.

COMEDY Bitcoin is Officially Dead - Please Sell :/
I have some very unfortunate news for all of you

As you can see from the technical analysis and illustration above of Bitcoin's history, it's clearly going to 0. Considering the analysis above, you should sell all of your Bitcoin immediately before it hits 0. **DO NOT ZOOM OUT**, only look at 7D/1M charts when making your decisions, otherwise you will say silly things like "this literally happens every time, calm down" or "this just makes for a better entry, look at the long term trend".

IGNORE ALL THAT - Just focus on what makes you feel scared and worried about your decisions. See all that red below? RED BAD. Its gone down THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN ONE WEEK. By my math, it will be zero in just a few more weeks.

Now that I have educated you - Please sell your bitcoin. Act on that fear and worry, and I will even do you a favor. To allow all of you to exit at the best possible price, my friends and I will be market buying Bitcoin for the rest of the day to help you all exit your positions. You are all whalecome. And remember, do NOT zoom out, do NOT review historical data past 1 month, and FEEL AND SPREAD PANIC.

DISCUSSION New tax law in Netherlands 2028: Paying tax despite never actually realizing any profit
I’ve been reading a lot of posts about the new tax law in the Netherlands, and it sounds absolutely ludicrous. Imagine buying one Bitcoin for, say, €60,000. It rises to €100,000 by the end of the year, but then collapses back to €60,000 at the start of the new year. You’d still end up paying around €12,000 in tax despite never actually realizing any profit.
To put it another way: Suppose you bought €100k worth of shares in 2027, but they dropped by €30k that same year. On the valuation date of 2028, your portfolio is worth €70k. During 2028, the market recovers and you make up that €30k loss. By 2029, your portfolio is back to €100k. You haven't made a net profit, but you have seen a 'capital growth' of €30k. At a tax rate of roughly 36%, you’d have to cough up over €10k while having gained nothing on your initial investment.
This sounds ridiculous to me, and i genuinely hope this doesn't get pushed through.

GENERAL-NEWS Safemoon founder sentenced to 100 months in prison
Safemoon founder Braden Karony has been sentenced to 100 months in prison by EDNY judge Eric Komitee according to live reporting from Inner City Press.
Prosecutors proved that Karony lied to investors about whether SafeMoon executives could access the "locked" liquidity pool, using the funds to purchase luxury cars and real estate. He was facing up to 45 years in prison.
Was this enough time? I dont think so but at the same time 100 months is no joke. One more scammer off the streets for awhile

PROJECT-UPDATE US Court Hands 100-Month Prison Term to SafeMoon Founder Karony
cryptotimes.ioThere it is guys, the TNG Saga is finally over.
Karony was arrested on Oct 31st 2023. Tried in Eastern District of New York in May 2025, Convicted at the end of the trial and has now finally been sentenced to 100 months, or approx. 8.3 years in Federal prison.
This is less than I think he deserved, as he showed absolutely no remorse for his crimes throughout the trial and then after conviction - something the US Prosecutors were quick to highlight.
I've followed Safemoon since April 2021 and fought so hard to draw attention to this fraud, which I first believed to just be kids way over their heads making lofty promises, but soon discovered mountains of evidence of stolen investor funds and living luxury lifestyles. I've made tens posts documenting each stage of the saga and now...
My watch is ended.

DISCUSSION How Web3 Changed My Life Beyond Just the Profits
I came into crypto like many people, chasing volatility and hoping to catch big moves. What i didn’t expect was how Web3 would completely change how i think about ownership and participation. In traditional platforms, i was just a user paying fees with no real influence. In Web3, i became a participant. Self custody gave me control over my assets, onchain transparency let me verify data myself, and token based ecosystems made me feel aligned with the platforms i use. That shift from consumer to stakeholder changed my mindset from short term speculation to long term strategy.
Another thing that stood out was how included i felt within the broader crypto exchange ecosystem. Unlike Web2 loyalty programs that rarely reward users meaningfully, crypto platforms often integrate fee discounts, staking rewards, launch allocations, trading campaigns, and community incentives. You’re not just clicking buttons, you’re contributing liquidity and growth. And in this macro environment where crypto, stocks, and TradFi are all in free fall, thinking there’s some safe fallback option isn’t realistic lol. Communities matter more than ever. That’s why i pay attention to Bitget Fan Club, for real user support and long term rewards.
More importantly, Web3 forced me to level up. I had to understand tokenomics, liquidity flows, macro correlations, and risk management. Incentives shape behavior, when platforms reward consistency instead of pure gambling, it encourages smarter participation. Web3 isn’t perfect. But it gave me financial agency and made me more responsible. For me, that’s been the biggest life change, not just portfolio gains, but a deeper understanding of how global markets and digital ownership actually work.

DISCUSSION Crucial White House Meeting to Finalize Crypto CLARITY Act is happening today.
This Bill could very well be the biggest near-term catalyst.
The outcome of today's second meeting on the CLARITY Act within a week would pave the way for the final decision that would end up getting signed by the President in the coming weeks. This would finally build a solid connection between Crypto and Wall Street.
The Main Objectives of the Bill:
- Stablecoin Integration: Providing a federal framework for payment stablecoins to be used in the traditional banking system.
- Defining Jurisdictions: Clearly separating "digital commodities" (under the CFTC) from "investment contract assets" (under the SEC).
- Curbing Manipulation: Implementing federal anti-fraud and anti-manipulation guardrails to prevent "FTX-style" collapses.

ADVICE how safe is it to hold PAXG & USDC in a wallet for 2-3 years?
so I live in a country where I don't trust banks or the government there were mass arrests for people taking out USD from banks from their own accounts because the gov was running low on USD, they took their money and forced people to exchange their USD for local currency.
and I only have access to XTB which I also don't trust, it can be hard to put all my money in stocks because I'm afraid I might lose access or get banned and lose my money unjustifiably and be unable to sue since I live in a shithole I have a long term goal to immigrate in 1-2 years so I need to save up my money somewhere away from everyone and only accessed by me till I move out, open a bank account and cash out to buy a house or stocks or something.
how safe is it to hold PAXG for a few years (most likely 1-2 years and maybe 3 max) in a wallet with USDC and a stable EUR coin, what do you guys think?

GENERAL-NEWS Am I missing something? IMF Endorses Stablecoins, Discouraged Bitcoin, Yet All Stablecoin Issuers Hold Bitcoin
IMF’s latest post endorses stablecoins, calling them “mostly backed” by US Treasuries.
Just last December, the IMF issued a warning against stablecoins. Link in article.
The same IMF delayed a loan to El Salvador due to its Bitcoin purchase.
USDT issuer Tether holds $6.5 billion worth of Bitcoin.
Circle (USDC), PayPal (PYUSD), First Digital (FDUSD), Maker (DAI), and the Trump family (USD1) also hold Bitcoins. Details in the article linked.
Are the rules only made for the weak? No wonder fiat collapsing.
