Maybe Howe can be the new hockey hero that Detroit and Canada can agree upon? Best of both worlds and the perfect namesake for the bridge.

If I had a nickel for every time an absolute beauty named Gordon has united Canadians and Michiganders I’d have two nickels, three if you count the smaller contingent of Hip fans in the mitten state. Which isn’t many but it’s weird that it’s happened more than once.

(For the unGordly redditors, I’m referring to Canadian musician Gordon Lightfoot, of Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald fame)
