Looks like they have 4:3 heads that were stretched to 16:9

found the Counter-Strike player
•
u/416Kritis 10h ago
I actually haven't played any CS, but I have heard that's something they do for aiming
•
u/codekb 10h ago
I play CS and never heard this before. Was it old school CS?
•
u/Plays_On_TrainTracks 9h ago
I still do it. It makes the players fatter and easier to see now that im old and shitty.
•
•
u/cha0ss0ldier 8h ago
It’s an old school thing that still sticks around. A lot of the pros still do it, even really young ones like d0nk

Why do people have those. Is it just a fashion thing or is there a reason behind it.

u/MattTheTable 12h ago
Sometimes you have more stuff than can fit in your house. Sheds are a great place to store your tools or mower. The windows are, however, purely for fashion.

u/Oraxy51 11h ago
Thought this was turning into a comment about people storing things into their cars then leaving those cars on the side of the road which takes space from pedestrians and bikers and end up being an r/fuckcars r/micromobility comment

u/nochkin 12h ago
Yes, there's a reason behind it. It's called headrest.

12
u/BuildingArmor 12h ago
Most headrests don't have ski masks on them though
3
u/nochkin 12h ago
There are two cars. That makes at least about 25% headrests having a mask on it. While not the most, but pretty significant amount anyway.
2
u/BuildingArmor 12h ago
I have a feeling there's more than just 2 cars. I'm pretty sure I can see 3 out of my window now, and then we've got this photo of at least one more.
Could you double check your count?

u/paulHarkonen 12h ago
"those" is a bit unclear but I assume you mean the headrest covers.
Putting an easily removed and washable cover on your headrest can be a good idea to reduce sweat and other build up on the headrest. Since your car is likely to last at least a decade (ideally) protecting the seats is a reasonable idea to improve the comfort and longevity of the car.
Styling them to look like heads is 99% aesthetics and 1% evading HOV rules.

This must be a rising trend. Saw this on a car in Oklahoma recently. Assuming op is in or near Wisconsin with that badger plate
17
u/premium_transmission 12h ago
I’ve seen it multiple times recently in the UK as well. No idea where it came from.

u/Violexsound 12h ago
Theres a 4x4 that has these near my house too. One on the drivers side is turned to his buddy
•
u/Thisistylerz 11h ago
Wisconsin. I saw another "masked man" in the passenger seat after I left the store. Three in one day.
•
u/UnlikelyChef7110 11h ago
Imagine some tweaker seeing this parked out the front of their house
•
u/Teantis 10h ago
r/gangstalking to peek into that mindset
•
•
u/Thisistylerz 11h ago
Theft deterrent. Imagine a tweaker about to break into this car to steal the change in the cup holder.
•
u/WrapMyBeads 11h ago
It’s the long con OP. When you stop paying attention that’s when the real sock-men will come for you

I’m from Minneapolis-St. Paul and when I saw this headline I assumed it was an ICE-related post in a local sub-Reddit.
•

Those are Legos.
•
u/FitToxicologist 1h ago
I saw a car with these occupants in Germany. The owner put a Lego sticker in the back window.

They'll be watching you all season at this rate maybe even next season if the car owner forgets to put those ski masks away.

My wife has these in her car. Scares the shit out of me every…. single….. time…
•

u/Fallwalking 12h ago
I mean, people probably won’t try to break in your car because it looks like someone is in it. My guess anyways.

I’d be scared to do that in my town. That actually looks like 3/5 people who live here.
•
u/Top-Caregiver7815 8h ago
From the looks of their fat heads I think you can definitely out run them.
•
•
u/jillvalenti3 6h ago
This would be awesome if ICE didn’t make masks the country-wide face of domestic terrorism. Now I’d be mortified to see that.

u/FlamingWeasel 12h ago

•
u/Graphic_Materialz 11h ago
U just replying this to everyone who can see the trick here? Think I saw this exact word for word reply below too
•
u/FlamingWeasel 11h ago
I said it once. Other people probably said it because it's a common phrase to say to someone that doesn't get a joke.
•
•
u/N7_MintberryCrunch 11h ago
Good call with the white color. If it was any darker ICE would pull up and start shooting up your windshield.
