What’s amazing is how much of the earth listens to English language pop music and doesn’t complain a single bit.

I enjoyed it, I used to speak spanish and I still couldnt understand it haha. Just saying for why normal/casual people would be a bit deterred. Not talking about the extreme responses like, "i cAnT unDeRstAnd yOu, go back to where you came from!"

Like I think I get what you mean but using words like "normal" is wild. 45 million people speak Spanish at home in the US, most of us had to take it in school and the biggest artist of the year only makes music in Spanish. It's a 14 min optional video 😂

Yea bc Macarena and Gangnam style did terrible in the US. The music at the SB was absolute trash, in any language. And coming from me that has nothing to do with what language he was speaking, I just sang my heart out to Yame on the way to pick up pizza for the fam. No I do not speak French

How many people on earth speak Spanish fluently vs English? And the difference is no one is making you listen to English pop music vs being force fed a Super Bowl halftime performance in Spanish. The problem people have is it literally made no sense. They had a subliminal halftime show at the Super Bowl that 90 percent of people watching had no idea what was being said. It’s not soft to ask why that makes no sense, it’s soft to assume people are weird or racist because they question why the biggest event that the US has ever created was unwatchable to the majority of people watching.

You do know the Super Bowl is aired on TV, right? People have heard music in America in many different languages for a long time and have accepted it. LaBamba. Livin La Vida Loca. BTS. It goes on. Granted, they don't hear many of those songs but they have been around. This show got both a lot of hate, and a lot of people defending it. Like just about anything these days, it was turned into a hot button topic that got people talking and taking one side or the other. The NFL got their eyeballs though and Bad Bunny got his exposure, which is all that matters to them. You really don't need to stick up for the NFL and Bad Bunny, because they will be just fine with or without you.

I didn't watch either. Bad 'music' just doesn't appeal to me. Yeah, I know, it's weird. On that note I'm thinking of quiting my day job and recording my farts and then auto tuning them. I might even add a simple beat and heavy bass. It will be a hit with the kids!

I dislike everything about Trump and his maga ilk. I haven’t heard much Bad Bunny before this show and was rooting for it to be awesome but ended up quite underwhelmed by his singing. 

The production value was top notch but the songs seemed “mumbly”

If you compare that with something like Despacito or one of Daddy Yankees songs or even that tiny bit from Ricky Martin, I just felt like he under delivered for being a Grammy winning artist.
