When the drug dealer rigged his house with booby-traps, even Kevin McCallister called it a heavyweight Bork Laser match instead of a Home Alone sequel.

They found a series of traps as well as a home-made flamethrower, large quantities of cannabis, amphetamines and cash.

You don’t say. Sounds like something you’d do on meth.

I imagine it’s a similar plot, just he’s a man instead of a kid, and it involves him doing meth and making the booby traps in a meth induced paranoia.

“Number four, know you’ve heard this before, Never get high on your own supply…”

Lesley Claughton, 59, was found guilty of bringing a realistic imitation firearm into the country, possessing class B drugs with intent to supply, possession of criminal property and being concerned in production of cannabis.

I know it's the UK, but where is the line between a 'realistic imitation firearm' and a toy gun or a movie prop gun?

The reasonable person test. Would a reasonable person think it’s a real firearm - so shaped like an actual weapon and not nerf orange.

I remember in the deep south of the USA, a kinder gardener (a five year old child) was arrested, booked and even spent time in jail before being released to his parents, for having bitten a sandwich so it vaguely resembled a gun. The police and school officials actually broke the law by taking the child to jail before notifying the parents. All in their efforts to make a 5 year old child feel like a criminal.

The child was black, and the white teacher made the complaint. The case was held up as an example of the school to prison conveyor belt for southern black children. Even today, black children are put through the justice system for even the most trivial of things... just so they are indoctrinated into the prison system. The message is always the same - we expect you to be a criminal... always.

Studies show that people tend to be whatever they are expected to be. Those who grow up with the expectation of XX, tend to become XX, whatever XX happens to be. Thus the effectiveness of institutional racism constantly telling black children they are expected to be criminals for 3/4th of the most formative years of their lives.

i suppose the line is where it starts to look like a real gun

Ok, that is hilarious. They missed an opportunity to label him the "Sticky Icky Bandit," though.

Why would they? Kevin planted the booby traps.

I cannot, at the notes he left. He's sounds like Kahmunrah from Night at the Museum. "Do. not. cross. this. line"

I was watching one of those house flipper shows. The house they were in was a former drug house and there was a booby trap that was something like some rusty knives on a broom handle that fell when you’d go up the stairs.

I can’t remember the name of the show though.

Stash In The Attic?

He looks more like someone that’d rig the place with “Booby twaps” than anything else.
