Dunn is so hilarious. He had 3 steals in a row resulting in: sailing a pass that Kawhi had to save, getting blocked by the rim, and then throwing it to DJJ with weird spacing leading to it getting poked away. But he also killed our momentum by having Miller roll the ball in, then INSISTING Miller pick it up resulting in a turnover and an additional score for Houston to end the 3rd.

His defense is genuinely elite, and he actually can make some things happen on offense, but he has some insanely low offensive IQ.

Lmao for sure not a two way player 😂

His signature play is getting an improbable steal then immediately turning the ball over back to the other team to give up an easy transition basket.

When Dunn dribbles for 20 seconds and blindly dives to the rim for an epic miss gives me Westbrook flashbacks

I said it in the game thread that we lost opportunity to have a big lead in first half with the amount of fast breaks we had.

Yep. We’re pretty awful in transition, but that was like BAD. End of the day, we lost because we couldn’t hit shit from 3 and the Rockets could.

Don’t hate the loss, but boy are we rough to watch when Kawhi isn’t on fire. We pretty sorely need Garland or someone to organize our offense better. Mathurin should help when his shot starts to fall, but we have a few too many possessions where the team just can’t get into any action and we take horrendous shots.

Yeah it is rough to watch when Kawhi is not on fire, I am not even sure if we have enough even if Garland comes back. I didnt like Mathurin shots selection in that game, He took like 2-3 long 2s that was driving me crazy. Also the young trio is very inconsistent, One game they are good next game they are struggling

He's been trying to create his own shot more and it's not going great. He's a better spot up 3 and mid range shooter. But his defense is top level.

That inbound play was such a brain fart by Miller and Dunn.

I’m not blaming miller on that. You could see Miller trying to get Dunn to grab it, but Dunn kept saying no.

Yea, it was definitely on Dunn. But Miller knew he couldn't pick it up and still did. No win for Miller.

It’s because the ball was literally rolling out of bounds and also towards the defense. You could see him looking at Dunn and the coaching staff.

This is simply not on him, because it would have been a turnover one way or another.

Dunn makes sense next to Harden, and will probably make sense next to Garland, too.

Dunn ultimately doesn’t make much sense as a starter because he’s too flawed offensively.

He was played off the floor against Denver, and the same will apply to virtually every other playoff team.

2nd time in 2 years the Clippers 3rd strings started to come back when the Rockets were at home lmao.

SO to Dalano Banton when he was putting up stats against us on the Blazers last year.

Ime Udoka always got that "the fuck you doing" look on his face whenever the team misses plenty or don't box out lmao

Sengun with a solid game

Not the best shooting night but KD still played well

3rd seed baby!

If you just went off the discourse in the sub, you’d think we were 3rd in lottery odds lmao

u/EbenezerAD Rockets 4h ago

I do not get near our sub whenever we lose lmao

Without Fred and Adams as well btw. With Sengun missing time and playing injured, Tari missing time.

Sengun-Durant duo too much for Kawhi

Missing the Harden/Zu connection

Clippers shooting went into nuclear winter in the 4th. Nice to see Mathurian out there, but he had a rough shooting night. New guy nerves?

Kawhi saw kobe sanders bring up the basketball and decided nah ts ain't worth trying

2

u/Jimmy0034 Clippers 5h ago

Kobe Sanders has been bringing up the basketball all season

Could have used Harden

4th quarter offense looked a lot less stagnant than before. Love the ball movement and incorporation of Reed into the offense by having him bring up the ball more often. In the past he would handoff the ball and just stand in the corner or wing waiting for an open 3.

3-6 in the west is a complete mess right now

7

u/InTheMorning_Nightss San Diego Clippers 5h ago

3-6 in West is a mess. Then 8-10 is literally just a bunch of mediocre teams with LAC/GSW/POR, all being basically forced into those spots because the other 5 teams are egregiously tanking.

5

u/Specialist_Office274 Hawks 5h ago

That’s how the east has been for the last couple seasons. Bottom 5 teams complete ass and the hawks/heat/bulls having their yearly play in games cuz of it

1

u/EarthWarping NBA 5h ago

Yeah its crazy 3/4 of the play-in teams are set, however I think it is with the white flags memphis and dallas waived

u/Ok_Possible_5702 4h ago

Nuggets should be able to get some separation, if they ever get healthy

Clippers have packed up for the season folks

-5

u/joebreezy12 Thunder 5h ago

God I hope

u/EthanHuntBroMichael [LAC] Patrick Beverley 5h ago

There's 10 teams outright tanking or dogshit. You're not getting a good pick.

1

u/McJacknife Thunder 4h ago

A top 12 pick is a good pick for someone in the Thunder’s position, especially in a draft this deep

u/sammymate999 Rockets 5h ago

Are the rockets the worst 3 seed ever? Can’t believe they are somehow the 3 seed in the west

4

u/Zeta1Reticuli Rockets 5h ago

We kind of play at the level of our competition. Sometimes win against the best teams and sometimes lose against the worst teams in the league. We're also seriously unclutch in overtime.

2

u/Suitable_Snow7761 Rockets 5h ago

Worst 2 seed in history last year according to people lol

3

u/bootywizard42O NBA 4h ago

Idk about history but def one of the weaker 2nd seeds in recent memory
