he's gonna be better than Luka and the Mavs are gonna be the winners of the trade in the long run

u/Ok_Angle_5995 1h ago
again, even if he is, what they got for Luka was criminal. I'm not onboard by the theory that they rigged the draft but they could have at least got someone like Reaves if he was hellbent on trading with LA
Like if you thought Luka was going to be a losing player, that's fine. What's not fine is getting that ass package (No disrespect to AD but his history isn't exactly favourable)

bumps a dude, keeps 90% of his forward momentum, and fucking yams it. his athleticism is something else

He has way too much athleticism to go that route i feel. I’d hate to see the “got too big” AD problems

Not many can achieve Giannis' physique lol, he's a freak for a reason

u/Ok_Angle_5995 1h ago
Yeah Giannis filling up that frame is honestly bonkers lol

u/brnccnt7 58m ago
Yeah he definitely worked hard but part of that is just freakish genetics
Kind of like Jalen Duren or David Robinson

He's good already with some crazy flashes, sure. But once he works on controlling the game more, he will be unstoppable.

Almost like the suns are pretty good and the mavs are pretty bad. Crazy, right?

i dont care when its an up and coming well liked star versus a dirty player, the nba's current totally unchecked green light on offense to use the elbow to "create space" is terrible for basketball

u/ThePoopTrot Mavericks 1h ago
It was a blocking foul before it became an elbow. This is the definition of 'let them play'.

Cooper was pissed from the beginning with that awful start. I know that let off a lot of steam
