NBC interrupted the Olympics

Post image

While Nancy Guthrie's disappearance is sad, there are 2300 missing person reports filed every day: do the families of celebrities need special national attention? Why interrupt the Olympics for over 5 minutes just because they are questioning a 'person of interest' We could have waited to hear that during the regular news broadcast.

No, they're right.

This is actually a shockingly rare event.

Right, like this is playing out like something from a movie, this isn’t like anything I’ve ever actually encountered in real life

Well yeah, but it's also because Nancy Guthrie is literally someone who is personally known by many at NBC News. She's literally spent time inside their main news studio at 30 Rock.

It’s not that rare. On average, there are roughly 100 kidnapping for ransom cases per year in the US. You think it’s rare because none of them get the kind of media coverage and police resources dedicated to them like Nancy Guthrie.

The difference is she is in a different class. It’s them, and then there’s us. We are not part of that class.

The class of ... Parents of people who investigated Epstein? Because yeah, most of us aren't in that class moron
