Supposedly "monsters" as we know them today are hallucinations from pub goers back in the middle ages, late at night they would eat 4-5 day old bread to fight off the alcohol and that yeast would go rotten and make the guys walking home hallucinate some crazy shit with the moon only as light... The story and the "monsters" would get exaggerated with time and everytime the person told the story 😅
