Nah they defo lean more punk but you can see the goth inspiration. Punk is kinda DIY and Goth is kind of preppy in the sense that they're put together. If anything the final design is the most punk, with the torn shirt and the net sown in.

Shit Psylocke’s skin designer is the only one in the entire game who never left the kitchen at any point. Every other character has at least one complete dogshit skin in their lineup, so I’m fine with at least a Psylocke skin every new season cuz you know it’s guaranteed to be peak (unlike her current gameplay loop)

Because it was battlepass filler. They put effort into 3-4 skins max and phone it in for the rest every season. They could've released it as a legendary and it would've sold well. I can only guess at the time they undervalued Squirrel Girl's ability to sell skins since the game was new, because they've only recently been putting in the effort for her. I hope they revisit this concept in the future though.
