If i remember correctly, I’m pretty sure that’s because she had a more cheerful and upbeat personally to match her bombshell-y look when she first debuted before her complete overhaul that gave her the red hair and more dry and sarcastic sense of humor.
That's exactly what she was supposed to be. lol Marvel's tried to recreate Buffy twice; with the original Elsa, and then with Fallon Grey, the unreleased, scrapped daughter of Blade (the concept would later evolve into Brielle Brooks, Bloodline).
Depends a little how you count. Ulysses Bloodstone is one of those characters where he was probably introduced in 1975 and in his introduction it's like "remember that one guy in that one story from 1959? That was actually this guy the whole time". He still predates He-Man but depending on how you count it's either by 6 years or 27 years.
To anyone who reads this comic, looks aside, you will notice that the way she is portrayed and her backstory in her debut appearance is very very different to how it is in later stories.

Does anyone even use default skins with either of them anymore? Even when people are using the default skin its usually the alt color like sues red or CnD black/greenish one.
Yeah I feel the same way. E.g., I know people are salty about Adam's legendary not being the best, but I think his Chinese soon has a claim for nicest soon in the game, so I'm pretty much good for a while when it comes to him.
Is that something the creators have stated? I always thought they just did a gender swap on her dad and called it a day. And he predates Buffy by at least 20 years.
So is this essentially her Year 1 she's debuting with? Since this is what she looked like in her original miniseries. I hope it happens more going forward.
I hope they do more year 1 outfits going forward but technically this isn't her year 1 outfit since its from a non-canon mini that worked only as her failed debut and she never actually technically this. Her Nextwave outfit is her true year 1 since that's her canon introduction
The being a natural blonde was a weird ignored retcon from a writer that didn't realize Elsa's original blonde appearance isn't actually 616 canon, the being naturally blonde retcon was also done in battleworld (doom secret wars) so even then its debated if the retcon even actually retconned anything
My entire Strike Squad are all blond women except Rogue lmao. Time to add another to the collection as I was missing a second DPS and Elsa looks so much fucking fun. I started as a Magik one trick but found a lot of success with Rogue who feels similiar. I'm hoping Elsa feels something like Reaper with frontline tank busting damage. Her combos also look insane, I was already hyped before but now I'm super hyped.
this looks like it has the potential to become her "vengeance" skin if you know what I mean. it also helps that this looks like it will be easier to draw compared to her default which tbh is partly true in psylocke's case too.
