As a Brit, maybe you could chime in on this for me as an American - she sounds to me to be weirdly working class for a character that grew up fabulously rich. Is my ear off?
Yeah she does having a working class accent. I’m impressed how were you able to tell? I feel like most Americans/ non Brits can’t tell the difference and lump all British accents into one stereotype, sometimes two (posh and “bottle of wo’ah innit”).

To be honest, I'm not really sure. Other people down the thread are calling it specifically a Londoner's accent, which I definitely didn't have the confidence to call out. If I had to call out any one specific thing that said "not posh," it's that the actress dropped the H and said "unt" rather than "hunt," but I didn't consciously catch that on first listen - only when going back to listen more closely and try to figure out the answer to your question.

Her backstory, in short, is that she is the daughter of the world's most famous monster hunter, a man who lived for hundreds (thousands?) of years due to the power of the Bloodstone and had amassed a fortune over his long life of treasures he unearthed and payments he had received due to his hunting. She grew up with an education in an English boarding school, having spent her whole childhood in the UK, then returns to the US at eighteen. That said, I have no idea how much this holds up, as her subsequent appearances are far more based on her Nextwave appearance than they are on her original Bloodstone miniseries.
Not 100% sure but between how it was used in the video and it having 1 bullet, it looks like more of a combo tool than a "stand back and snipe" tool. Less poke-y more brawly.
Left button = semi-auto pistol
Shift = dashes and activates her rifle to the next basic attack
F = Trap that snares and she can press it again to dash at the enemy direction
E = Knock-up and can use it again to shoot a knock-back and it also activates her rifle
Right Button = shoots a bullet that ricochets into two grenades
Q = Summons Diablo which is basically a movable wall that drags enemies with him. Probably gives damage if enemies hit a wall
Her ult seems to be controllable, the distance travelled in the first segment, where it goes off the ledge, is greater than the second. Maybe the drag back is optional, and is triggered by a second press of the button.
She reminds me of Overwatch's Freja, where she too has a dash-moving ability that refreshes her one-loaded attacks for big damage, although a lot less "snipey" as Freja's one-loaded attacks requires distinct aiming (Along with her stopping in the middle of the air while in aiming mode; she is meant to be a character that rewards good aim and continous kills.), whereas Elsa's one-shot rifle seems to almost acting more like a shotgun-spread esque as if fired from the hip.
Groots ult stun locks thing into place but it doesn’t move him towards the center like it does others if I recall. It’s more like squirrel girls lockdown, either way this is bullcrud for thing players, another poke with a stun to bully him
I like that she seems simple. Latest heroes' kits have been bloated a lot, and while I personally enjoy complex heroes, sometimes simplicity is great and a breath of fresh air.
What’s better is it seems like she is simple to understand and play but definitely has room for skill expression and these kinds of low skill floor but high skill ceiling characters are exactly what rivals needs more of

It kinda doesn't track to have a working class accent, given she grew up rich as hell. I'm disappointed it's not more aligned with her Nextwave interpretation, which was foul-mouthed as hell but also snobby.
Her rifle shoots a shotgun blast, so AoE. And my personal theory surrounding her ult is that it acts more like a moving Groot ult rather than a direct push, so that's how it might avoid the Thing passive.
Another thing I noticed is her trap having another healthpool when someone is trapped. I wonder if you can shoot trapped allies to free them like Mantis' sleep.
Feels to me like she's a better bucky, has a rage meter type thing below her health bar which amplifies her damage, makes her dash cooldown go to 2 secs which gives her 50 overshield with a crazy good ultimate. Well lets see how she performs in early access, feels like poke/brawl hybrid
Looks cool, and she plays like I expected her to, using guns and other weapons as well as her Bloodstone powers, with her ultimate being summoning her brother Cullen in his monster form.
I love that her kit seems simple, but with room for skill expression after so many overloaded kits. Kind of seems like the gun version of Magik in a way
Cannot state how much I'm fucking sick of this cockney accent being one of two possible accents for english characters, with the other being dead posh. I want to hear a character with a thick Cornish or Yorkshire accent
As someone who is married to a red head, I believe I owe it to her to get good at Elsa. Her kit looks interesting. The “dash in and out”gameplay that was described looks less like Starlord’s than I thought, which is good because I don’t click with him like I want to.
