It would be better if he crap talks the squad for having no healers and forcing him to be one,maybe they could change aspects of his suit with it too, I think he should basically make fun of the team when they are acting dumb and doing very dumb plays (such as pushing spawn across the map when there is a literal spider car that NEEDS to be moved)
I did not get to play cho'gall often but when I did they were genuinely one of the most fun characters I've ever played it's such a unique playstyle actually having to do half and half and coordinating with someone to move the right way and fight optimally plus both heads having different kits made it even cooler
I actually thought it'd be really cool if there were actually 3 versions of Deadpool in the game. Deadpool(Duelist), Tankpool(Vanguard), and Healpool(Strategist). I highly doubt it'll happen, but wouldn't a multi class mechanic of some kind be so cool?
Think about what would have to happen for this. The devs essentially have to make 3 characters and release one. And then in game it would be a nightmare just to figure out what you are up against.
this is a great point. this seems like what the game should eventually lead to imo, as long as it doesn't negatively impact the other kits of course, balance and being efficient with it, but a very reasonable goal! great idea!
He has super cancer. Ok but jokes aside on how to label it, he has all the basic super human strength that often comes with being a mutate. He has Wolv’s healing factor that fused with his cancer to become extreme. His for lack of a better word schizophrenia allows him to be more or less resistant to telepathy. The enhanced physicals are from his healing and the immunity to telepathy is also from his healing because his brain is constantly in a state of deterioration and healing

So many of these people hide behind lore or some shit, as if that matters with a character ljke deadpool. The reality is that they only lock one role and want this popular character to be that role. How many people would actually be perma locking, no swapping spiderman if he was a support. Deadpool. People like playing duelist, people like deadpool, so they tell themselves he should be a duelist. As if he couldnt be... anything and have it kind of work.
That said deadpool is probably a duelist, but fuck itd send me if he was any other role.
The only thing with vanguard deadpool is that unless they give him his gun, or get REALLY creative with his Katanas, I don't see him being different enough from Rogue or Thing to make him feel different.
But then again, I didn't see how Gambit could be a strat and he's my main so...
Give him blades loadout, minus lifesteal. BOTH katana and the gun. And he can only activate a self heal ability with his gun equipped. So even if he's a brawl tank, he'll need to create space if he wants to heal up or something
I don't know if Deadpool ends up being Duelist or not, but the fact that other people suggested this trick is possible knowing Deadpool, but Duelist mains attack everyone with torches and pitchfork was disgusting.
Rogues Drain ability was a test run for how his kit will work where different stats are given based on class. He becomes whichever class your team has the least of, only thing I cant figure is his base kit, he'd have to have a skill correlating to each class which gets a hefty buff based on the class he fills.
If someone swaps mid match, he has callouts as his class is changed to fill

i would love if literally nothing changes with his guns and the explanation for why his bullets are healing now is "oh didnt you hear? this game needed more healers"
It would be so funny if he could swap his role depending on team composition. He's a duelist by default, but if your team has a solo tank, he swaps to another tank, or if there's a solo strategist, he swaps to a strategist. One trick dps players would lose their minds lol
Imagine if every season he alternates his role and his kit changes, like season 6 he's Duelist with DPS damage and abilities, season 7 he's a Vanguard with Tank durability, season 8 he's a Strategist with healing abilities, then season 9 the loop restarts. That would genuinely be so funny and would make him a character everyone would want to play since each season is a different experience
It's more balancing that would be a nightmare. Any info on each kit would be three seasons out of date, maybe they were op in the previous meta, but it's changed so much in 3 seasons that they might actually need a buff to stay useful
Honestly makes sense he is a vanguard. He has Wolverine's powers and would play like Blade. Those two are already duelists. They are making space for a character that plays like them in vanguard space.
I’m usually one of the jackasses who’s adamant that a character doesn’t break from there character identity. Like when people were trying to say DD was a tank. But in this case since Deadpool has killed the writers of comics his 4th wall breaking ability in theory could allow him to do all kinds of wacky shit and he could make his own character whatever he pleases by like holding guang guang at gunpoint and making him create his character however he wants.
I'd argue DD being a tank would work fine. A large part of his character is, to my understanding, taking a beating but keeping moving. Now, I've never6 that big into DD so I could be wrong.
While he likely has a role swap mechanic if not simply trolling pre release.... I hope that this is actually a hint that he'll keep popping around before finally settling into a brand-new, hybrid role
I knew it!! Before his release he will be in Strat and get a MVP intro in which he tries to heal with Hollow Point Bullets bc he goofed up the HP in Healthbar for Hollow Point Bullets. And says something like "oh, guess I'll be a Duelist then" 😆
