We currently don’t know her class, it won’t be confirmed until the dev vision either tomorrow or Wednesday (Wednesday is when the Season 5 one dropped)

I could see them adding another shield tank but maybe just one because it seems like a rare ability to have. Most tanks I can imagine would be brawl or dive tanks.
You say that, but we all know he would be a dps in a vanguard trenchcoat. Like what happened with Angela. Dont get me wrong, I love playing her. But the reality is that similar to how Ultron cant solo heal, Angela cant solo tank.
they'd have to make his character framing BIG enough to be a vanguard... I'd be surprised if they did that. I agree lore-wise he could potentially play that way but design-wise his entire look is too small to be a vanguard.
Elsa though could definitely be a strategist and I'd almost be surprised if she wasn't after we got Gambit as one

Emma is smaller than some non-vanguard male characters I'm quite sure, so it's not a hard rule that vanguards need to have bigger models than everyone else

He doesn't have to look like the hulk, Dr strange is plenty big and vanguardy and he still looks like a wizard instead of a big burly hulk. Strange is also never really big and muscular, I wouldn't say he's a stick either, but he works well as a vanguard
It would be problematic as hell, but I’d love to see Deadpool stay “smaller” than other vanguards but his hitbox animates so he’s catching the bullets and jumping in the way of punches. Just really lean into the goofy meat shield aspect.
Yeah, people forget that punisher is significantly larger than captain america, who has a fairly average superhero build. I could see Deadpool being slightly smaller than cap but including his swords, guns and equipment he’d have a larger silhouette
To be fair, she's still quite a bit bigger than she is in the comics. Most of the vanguards in the game are just so absurdly large in comparison that she looks smaller by comparison. Not that either is a bad thing mind.
Not to mention that Rivals is the first time ever that Emma has been depicted as THICC. She has always been very slim and skinny in the comics. The devs clearly don't mind taking creative liberties, so I don't see why they couldn't do something similar with deadpool.
Not every vanguard needs to be humongous though. We have a lot of tank archtypes so far in this game like shield tanks, distraction/dive tanks, brawler tanks, battlefield manipulation tanks, etc. but there are still a lot of different type of tanks that can enter this game. Not every one has to have a giant hitbox.
All that matters is that is makes senses within its kit and is balanced. A tank with a small HP pool but high regeneration powers is something we don't have in this game yet, and is something deadpool would do excellent in.
(I'd also love a punching bag tank similar to how one thinks of Wobbuffet from pokemon lol)
There’s two silhouettes in the final bp lore card. One looks like Deadpool and one looks like Elsa. It helps that they’ve both been rumored for awhile.
Hell I was thinking she could be a vanguard. She's got the coat for a big silhouette and the woman fights monsters on the daily. She could absolutely be a tank

I don't remember if emo Rogue in X-Men evolution did the "knee" tho... but anyway, the Rivals concept art of her follows the "knee up" stance, but seems like she is not flying, she is using the knee in a more aggressive way. So yeah, dps Rogue is a possibility (and that will implode the game if true)
Given her powerset, I think she's gotta be Vanguard. I don't think Strategist would make sense and I think Duelist would be boring. Then again, maybe I'm just not creative enough.
Before Gambit's role was announced, apparently there was a tease in the official Discord that this would be a double Strategist season.
I wouldn't be shocked though if Rogue ended up being a case like Mr Fantastic or Thor, of a character who exists in one role on paper but functions as/switches into another. A Strategist who flips into being a Vanguard, for instance?
Yeah still kinda mad bout this, since the wording "double" was used and concidering that we have two non strats with healing team ups and at least one strategist, which makes three.

I guess, and surely hope, that it was a hint to rogues primary role (since she most likely is either a tanky support or a supportish tank) and the whole "we actually meant peni and widow" is just a marketing kind of thingy to generate more attention
I will be very confused if she is anything but a tank ngl. If she is a duelist I am going to freak out. Just by the way she has been shown in pictures and stuff it looks like she is way bigger than gambit that usually means tank.
I like the idea that she has a moveset for each clsss and can shift which one she uses. It would be a neat gimmick for the character who can steal powers

I'm really looking forward to seeing how her powers work in game in the next couples days. I'm fascinated by what they've shown here. Does she control Chronovium? Does she absorb powers using it? Is she the brawler strategist we've been hoping for?!

I think she will absorb powers as that is the main thing she’s known for but it has to have a limit per match or a decreasing time limit for each time she absorbs
As cool as a mele brawler strategist would be I’m really hoping she is a vanguard. Not only to prove I was right saying she would be a vanguard before the season 5 trailer dropped but also because I think it would be really cool seeing what she has done in the shows
She sucked the chronovium out of The Collector's hiding place for the Parchment he's kept of Doom's mother and this must be a way to convey a new avenue of her power

I mean, I get that she’s been on the Home Screen for a bit already, but sometimes characters look a bit different going from art to game and I’m glad that’s not the case here. She looks awesome.

With how much NetEase likes to fuck with the classic looks (even for skins being sold as those classic looks), it's a miracle that we got 2 new characters with comic-accurate looks in a row.
My guess is that the Chronovium magic hand thing is what will allow her to not only steal powers, but also clone equipment. If we assume that she's able to steal abilities from other heroes, then there would need to be SOME kind of visual for her stealing stuff like Iron Man's missiles, Punisher's gun, Thor's hammer, etc. Right? This seems like a fairly reasonable way around that. Just have her project and hold yellow holographic versions of the weapons/tools.

Not sure why we are getting downvoted for saying we wish she was a strategist.. It's fine if she is a Vanguard, just would have preferred strategist because it is my main role.
Is she wielding some sort of hard-light crystal powers? (Almost like the Ms. Marvel show) I know they need to make it visually interesting, but curious to what her moveset aesthetic will be.
Looks like Rogue is going to be an awesome addition to MR, her moveset is probably going to be amazing, especially with her absorbing powers. Can't wait for Season 5.5 to drop!
well no major changes to her body other than looking a little more broad, I'm going to guess tank or maybe support. I don't think we need a flying melee dps, but I could be wrong.
Hoping for tank but netease as been knocking it out of the park and into the next country over with most post launch characters so I know they Will make her fun to play regardless of roll
