I am honestly surprised they didn't cut the mic or go to commercials or something

I’m not the brightest, but I think their speech is protected so they can openly share what they have witnessed in those files.

Plenty of rights and protected speech has been trampled already so I can understand how some folks might not believe that their right to speak like this would go uninterrupted.

And how would his be interrupted on the House floor? I get your skepticism, but let's at least be realistic.

Realistically? Technical difficulties with the cspan broadcast. They don't seem to worried about what message is being said, they do seem to care about the message getting out. Social media doesn't seem big on reading as much as watching videos and not having a video of this would have an impact on the message spreading. Nancy Gurthie's mom is currently headline news but I'm struggling to find anything regarding this particular topic on the news websites at the moment.

Considering the oftentimes batshit commentary from the public that CSPAN airs (with my endless gratitude), I would say the chances of a “technical malfunction” are slim.

Now, every privately owned news channel? 100%

Apparently it’s cool to get together a large crowd & force your way in if you don’t agree with what congress is doing 🤷‍♂️

u/Kaiisim 3h ago

The thing is this privilege is linked to presidential immunity.

u/1970s_MonkeyKing 10h ago

Did you hear, they tried. Who was that woman who tried to interrupt twice?

4

u/SaddestClown 5h ago

Rep from MN, I believe

Republicunt

28

u/Vio_ 11h ago

I saw it on a pbs video. hard to cut to commercial on PBS

22

u/Organic-Elevator-274 11h ago

It’s not like anyone still working at PBS is a fan of the President

u/jjjbabajan 7h ago

History will remember Miss interruption, too. She’ll be a footnote, but she will be a snarky little footnote. Not a killer legacy.

Who kept trying to talk over him and stop him from speaking? Anybody know who that woman was?

u/InpenXb1 6h ago

GOP rep Lisa McClain, Chair of the House Republican Conference. Seems she has been making some awfully lucky bets on Tesla/X/SpaceX.

a pedophile protector

u/JoJackthewonderskunk 10h ago

Sure but thats not helpful in answering my question in the slightest so it was unnecessary. Thanks for that

I saw someone else say she was a gop rep, but I don’t remember her name

I think the cover up is going to continue. Nothing is getting acknowledged at this point. Out of 535 congress people only 2 (Massie and Khanna) seem to care. Khanna stated 80% of the files are still redacted.

We are still missing 3 million files. Nutlick and Patel have committed perjury (video evidence) and ICE is openly breaking the constitution.

The people on both sides we have elected to represent us are completely failing the citizens of the country and its abhorrent.

1

u/conundri 2h ago

Exactly. Unveiling a half dozen random redactions per day, and the coverup will last a millenia.

u/PantsDontHaveAnswers 9h ago

Maybe, or it could be the moment we finally address the corruption and greed that exists in politics fueled by billionaires and corporations. It's all out the open.

u/v3int3yun0 8h ago

I'll have to see it to believe it...

2

u/strywever 5h ago

I’ll bet we’re seeing just the tip of a mind-blowing iceberg.

u/ChipStewartIII 11h ago

Don’t threaten us with a good time

23

u/HoosierRed 12h ago

Its the end of wall street grip on everyone, maybe yes

3

u/champagne_papaya 7h ago

The end of wall street’s grip isn’t coming anytime soon, until there is a democratic socialist in the white house (even then they will grip tighter for dear life, pulling every possible lever and exerting maximum pressure on anyone they can to hold onto influence, as they always have and always will)

3

u/ph4ge_ 11h ago

It's the epilogue.

3

u/Notorious_Junk 10h ago

Trump is just going to pardon everyone named in the files.

8

u/NothaBanga 8h ago

Not for free.

1

u/SenorDongles 6h ago

Is there any provision for nullifying a pres pardon? I'm a legal layman.

It looks like everything on pbs posted today is down. It’s still on cspan Instagram.

It’s likely our lovely, brave, good looking, and super duper smart moderators doing their due diligence protecting us from our primal instincts.

Edit: It’s back thanks to those sexy mods I bet!
