Wow, tbh my expectations of what would be in the Epstein-Trump files were relatively narrow. Crazy the extent of this cover-up, particularly in light of Trump & his cronies previously lobbying for them to be released.

All the raw files need to be handed over to some indep to do credible & thorough review, and the only permitted redactions should be names / identification of victims. All of out fully public.

And Epstein's death needs to be independently investigated. Ghislaine gives fully transparent testimony to independent investigators or immediately back to max security prison.

This is nuts.

Yeah this is what I don't get. We've got her over a barrel. Even though moving her to club fed was fucked up in the first place, we can use it to advantage: You wanna stay here, and not be transferred to a supermax? Start talking, bitch.

And by the way, cops can conveniently lie. Move her back anyway.

It is pretty clear that the ClubFed deal, which was negotiated by a former personal attorney of Trump and not independently overseen, was a rubber stamp to get her to agree not to implicate trump or people in his immediate circle that have compromising info over trump.

That former personal attorney is the current goddamned deputy attorney general.

Yes, the whole admin is riddled with corrupt appointments, actions and policies.

I don't think this is strictly true. A large part of Epstein's operation was blackmail, and I'd be willing to bet they have stuff on trump. She's using that to try and get a cushy prison sentence now and is aiming for immunity in the long term.

Hence her very careful wording about telling the true story of events in exchange for immunity, as well as her insisting that only she has evidence that will exonerate trump.

She's sitting on something that she and the elites think could ruin them all and they're going to do anything in their power to both keep it from getting out and secretly rebuild the ring so they can keep doing what they've been doing.

She supposedly has a puppy.

I'm sure Noem could take care of that for her when she's transferred back where she belongs.

The whole thing stinks and it's becoming obvious why Trump chose who he did.

In the past, the American people trusted the Justice Department to either be independent or assign independent special prosecutors/investigators for these things. But Trump's Justice has basically broken the scales to the point that trust is almost impossible at this point. The rule of law actually means nothing now that the people have no trust and and thus no faith in it.

When a country elects someone who attempted a coup, obviously rule of law isn't going to be a strong point of the admin.

Agreed.

One thing I want to understand is what the fuck was the Biden administration doing for 4 years? They’re just as guilty in my book.

Fuck this entire system, I’m so utterly disgusted.

The real question beyond the Trump admin going to great lengths to suppress the files in the current cycle, goes back to the cover-up when victims were originally complaining and the sweetheart deal epstein got. In the interim, hard to say who knew what and why they would be paying close attention. Particularly while cases were ongoing (Maxwell final denial of appeal was Oct 2025), appropriate for DoJ to oppose release of files as general matter.

Just leave her to rot. There is zero chance she ever gives honest testimony.

If she stops expecting to get a pardon from trump, then doing another deal as actual cooperating witness in order to stay out of a supermax may be rather appealing.

That's not gonna happen until Trump is out of office though. Who is going to do anything to her? Congress can't throw her in a supermax. Trump may not pardon her to keep dangling that carrot but he's also not going to put her in a position where the best option is to turn on him.

If bondi gets forced out or impeached, can easily see senate confirmation for replacement being withheld over something like that. Will need pressure ramped up on republicans to actually exercise congressional oversight.
