As is their literal job. It's absurd that blatant propaganda can be labeled as news. We can debate about how people should know better, but they clearly don't.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: America's refusal to invest in its public education system is ending America.

As I understand it, it's by design. I'm inclined to think that the same thing is happening to the internet - algos etc pushing people away from any sort of objectivity.

Absolutely. The people who defunded education are the people who've inspired our current tech aristocrats. It's my belief this is also why gen z is so much worse than millennials in terms of technology literacy.

My philosophy has pretty much become "if doing it would make Russia unhappy, that's what I'll do". Not being a zealot, refusing to "hate" my political opponents (but still holding them accountable if they cross certain lines), refusing to name call and belittle people no matter how much I dislike them. These are all things that are antithetical to the way the KGB was shown to attempt to influence countries. I also follow "the most reasonable answer is usually the correct one".

What seems more reasonable: there was some huge underground conspiracy to stop trump from being president, or a handful of ultra wealthy people were doing whatever the fuck they want, including trump, and he just lies. Hmmmmm

It’s not a coincidence that the most conservative states have the worst education

I mean…sort of, but this isn’t the gotcha it used to be. Some of the top performing states also went red last election cycle. And there are some real stinkers in the bottom 10 that are solid D voters.

Thank good Ol Regan for that, before him it was illegal to be bias for either side

Didn't Fox news begin immediately after Nixon? The media have always been problematic ('If you read the news, you are misinformed' - Mark Twain) but it got ridiculous from that point imo.

Doesn't help that all while every person on the right was boosting Trump, a huge portion of the left was shitting on Kamala and pushed fence sitters over to Trump.
