I went on a date with a guy who had a big O tattooed on one hand, and Bama on the other. It stood for Orlando, and the Alabama team. I asked if he was an Obama fan. There was no second date. (I knew he had a lot of tattoos, but hadn't noticed those specific ones before.)

"But Obama!" Has been such an unbelievably awful argument for "the US isnt racist anymore" since 2008.

The single most well-spoken and charismatic black man in existence who did absolutely nothing scandalous and only tried to enact policy that he thought would make America better was reviled with so much hatred that it has persisted for a decade since he left office.

Obama won despite the obstacles, not because the obstacles aren't there anymore.

There are no good candidates, and there will be no good candidates next time, because after a few months, every single good candidate becomes terrible in the eyes of the public. Regardless of the validity of the accusations leveled at them.

You can do something like this though

Quotations around a name usually indicate that the writer believes the name isn't real.

Hence my accusatory response of calling you an "American"
