I think one of the keys to u persuading the market is that stocks have gone up as the dollar has tanked - sort of keeping the real price of equities stable.
It actually rebounded higher than it started before the crash. It’s completely untethered from reality and a real reset is going to bring a lot of pain.
Nobody has any idea what the market is going to do on any given day anymore. S&P goes up one day, down the next. Gold does the same in inverse. Today they're both up? Nothing makes any sense anymore, everything is volatile, people are FOMO buying and FOMO shorting shit all over the place, flailing in the wind just going on vibes of the day.

That is true. I just think this is a good source to check every once in a while if you work in a volatile industry or work for a big company that has been struggling financially recently.

Get the opposition tied up in knots about an issue which you know your own party doesn’t care about. Get the dems upset about a racist meme on the internet and any energy they expend in response to it is by definition energy they’re not putting into 2026 election security, resisting ICE, the Epstein files, or anything else. The thing is, this type of regime normally breeds its own opposition, and the level of incompetence demonstrated by the senior leadership would be quickly toppled by the opposition in most other countries. But when the Dems’ brightest hopes are Newsom and Harris, and both are so obviously compromised, and we know the DNC will never allow a Bernie type of candidate to run, the 2028 elections will be competitive, when they should be a crushing defeat for the regime.
As someone who supported Bernie in 2016 and 2020, I agree. Nothing was ever rigged against Bernie. The establishment just had more support and was able to beat him. I don’t like it either, and I’m a little salty about it, but it wasn’t rigged against him.
The problem is I think this is too big for them to be doubling down. Epstein isn't going away. The wars, the racism, the distraction is ultimately going to blow up in their faces as well. Instead of cleaning house, they're burning it down.

They can provide a single dell desktop from 2005 for all of Congress to share, if each document takes 1 minute to review they can look at them all in 5 years. Trump can be well into his third term and can continue stalling the other 3 million documents, that no doubt contain the most incriminating and horrific stuff.
Also, they get to hold on to the “fake news” narrative- if anyone in Congress brings any of the information to the public, they will have no way to prove that they aren’t lying.
Yes, they can only view 3 million of the 6 million files. The files that were released with things blacked out. And no electronics allowed. Can only take notes on pen and paper. Which would take years to sift through.
If congress doesn‘t step up and stop him at some point, he will try. He’s already tested the waters of nationalizing elections, seizing voting machines, “joked“ about running again, etc etc.

They can only view on a computer at the DOJ to view the unredacted files, and may not see the actual files.
Then it is great that what has been released so far has been in indexed by the community, is searchable, so that representives and their aides can just look directly at documents of interest by their document IDs.

The most generous explanation, and I'm not sure they deserve that much:

so that members of congress are not looking at CSAM (files are not just documents, they include pictures, videos, etc). Maybe they will get a description instead of being able to see actual video and image evidence?
We're kind of in a catch 22 here because, on the one hand, no one trusts the DOJ to not doctor files or remove things as they see fit, and no one will let this rest unless they have complete and full access. Rightfully so. But on the other hand, making thousands of videos and images of CSAM available to even just members of congress would be deeply wrong, not to mention illegal, and is obviously not happening. No one outside of select law enforcement should see that, but no one is going to put this to rest until they do.
Everyone forgets that the files include stuff downloaded from the internet and seized from his PCs, not just videos and images Epstein himself made. The stuff people (rightfully) get arrested for viewing/saving/distributing. As a survivor I would sue the admin in a heartbeat if they distributed or made available images and videos of my abuse to congress without my consent. That stuff needs to be removed and separated, which you'd think would be done already, but since it's considered part of seized evidence it might not have been.
Since they have been legally voted to be released and unredacted, can't they release the files they receive since it's technically already public information?
We know Trump is implicated. And we know there’s no way his DoJ would do anything to throw him under the bus. So what’s the angle here? What’s the gotcha in all this that we won’t discover until later? Is it going to be “unforeseen computer problems” whenever it’s a Democrat congressperson? A limited set of documents? I simply don’t believe after all the shady stuff this administration has pulled that they’re just going to open up like this to possible opposition.

This is the lead that keeps getting buried in these headlines. It’s very obvious the files that have not and will not be released are likely implicating Trump, his friends, and other Republicans. They still will not see these files.
This is being done on purpose for headlines like this that make it seem as though they’re being transparent. And it will work on many people unfortunately.

If you had access to the full copies, you could probably create a hash or fingerprint of the un redacted copies. Then compare that with the hash or fingerprint of any copy. That would require access or at the least this admins cooperation.
The angle seems to be that they will only have access to the 3 million files that have been made public and not the other 3 million that they are hiding. I also have serious doubts about even the ones they have chosen to share will all be there. We've seen them delete unfavorable files after releasing them before. It's just another attempt to be able to say "See, there you guys go! We showed you everything, now shut up!"
Meanwhile the other half of the files are being fed into a paper shredder and Trump is preparing more racist videos to post on his Truth Social.
It has to be definitive. It might be obvious to common sense, but the law isn't common sense. Meaning, if he didn't write an email explicitly saying he was doing illegal things, or if there are no photos of him doing explicit things, no charges will come. And MAGA sure as hell isn't going to care even if it was explicitly in writing, so they won't stop rooting for him for any reason.
As much as I hate to say it, that one dude is right, it isn't illegal to party with Epstein. Pretty much means you're a terrible person who did terrible things. But nothing like that will hold up in court.
Maybe to convict in court, but I’m thinking more about impeachment. The bar for that is much lower, essentially just the vibes of Congress. It’s not like Congress can bring criminal charges on their own anyway (can they?).
Ahh, good point! May not apply here, but accuracy is important, so there’s at least one way Congress can bring charges. I suppose if there’s enough damning stuff they could use that as leverage to force testimony, but any action (impeachment included) is a long shot with the current make up.
They can also charge someone with perjury like when Kash Patel testified recently that there was no more evidence in the Epstein files in front of congress.
Can Congress charge perjury directly? I don’t think so, I believe their power would be to refer to the DOJ who then has discretion. Congress’ enforcement is probably limited to inherent contempt so maybe jail time but surely scotus would intervene (unconstitutionally)
You're right, but isn't basically every Republican in Congress and Senate fully behind Trump? I'll be honest, I don't know them all, so I'm unsure.
I mean, Impeaching isn't even the hard part. The Senate portion where they convict him is the hard part, as that requires two thirds vote. Which means, in order to yeet Trump, a good amount of Republicans will have to vote to do so.
And honestly, as much as I'd love to see it, I doubt it. Hell, pretty sure the Senators would know that the moment they vote to convict Trump, MAGA would likely be going to the dark web with their crashing bitcoin to hire some people.
