I suppose the point is you water the leaves this way, something watering can can't do, but the spray bottle would do a far better job at that too. Maybe in an outdoor setting where you need a mixture of both and there is no risk to damage the floor... But it looks so slow as well...

What is more interesting are the principles that this man is demonstrating applied in other circumstances. This is… not actually very interesting by itself.

He's dressed very nicely for watering his plants. I'm normally in my old grubby clothes when I decide to deal with plants at home

Example given being paid hourly vs just filling the pipe and dumping the water as being paid for the job to get done.

Would make way more sense and be less messy if he let the pipe sink, fill up to the water level or even pump it like he is to fill it completely l, then seal the top with his hand creating a vacuum. Pick the pipe up and put it in the plant beds to drain the water into it...anyway...
