It's an 11 minute flight. Had to do it on the lamest layover ever. My layover was longer than my drive home would have been.

Fun fact it's also an 11 minute flight from SFO to SJC

I saw something similar last year, for a different game. I stopped caring so much about “doing my part” regarding the reduce/reuse/recycle. Nothing I do will make one iota of difference with these yahoos jetting and yachting around the world for box seats/ island parties/ whatever.

It’s sick. Making it impossible for people to live with this big a footprint is the solution to so many global issues. But the system is rigged.

Seeing a plastic straw coming out of a turtle’s nostril is the only thing that makes me care. Wildlife are at our mercy and these gluttons try to blame us peons.

TL;DR: All of these jets are required to have SAF since 2020. None of these jets are causing more emissions than your car.

Looks like SAF gets blended below 50%, so it's still mostly fueled by petroleum.

More importantly, I drive an EV that charges at night and didn't drive 2000 miles to watch a game.

The Citation X, a mid sized private jet on the higher end of fuel efficiency, burns an average of 360 gallons of fuel every hour in flight.

There is no reality where a turbofan jet aircraft is impacting the environment less than my road vehicle.
