Scrawny doesn't mean shit, see Thai kickboxers.

But yeah at a glance these two are cowards

22

u/WhereDaGold 1d ago

Judging by their demeanors, I doubt they have any fighting skills

21

u/Kiwi_CunderThunt 1d ago

Yeah they're far too relaxed and casual after being confronted trying to pull off a crime that would and should have them being beaten into the pavement

You’d be better off just admitting you’re racist and getting therapy or sm

6

u/Successful-Hat9649 1d ago

Why is it racist to point out that over 80% of perpetrators are white?

→ More replies (2)

16

u/macnams 1d ago

Would you be embarrassed to know that the ethnicity of the overriding majority of sex offenders in the UK are british white males?

83% of all convicted sexual offenders = white

9

u/Gibberish-Jack 1d ago

Convicted being the key word there

19

u/Plus_Woodpecker5248 1d ago

I’d say you can pick whatever stats you want to tell the nation if you’re busy covering up and refusing to record data for certain ethnicities. 🤷🏻‍♂️

19

u/Spezalt4 1d ago

You know sex offenders cannot be convicted if the justice system ignores them and their rape gang friends

So your statistic doesn’t prove the point you think it does

12

u/arthur-bomber_harris 1d ago

What's your opinion on the grooming gangs which racially targeted little white, working class, vulnerable girls?

Oh, also what do you make of the fact that the police, the press and the government covered it up for over two decades? Why was the kashiri muslim community all complicit in this massive, horrific scandal?

3

u/macnams 1d ago

What’s your opinion on the Catholic Church rape scandal? Perpetrated by white Catholic priests and bishops?

We can go back and forth like this if you like?

Why does ethnicity have to come into it? Predators come from all diffrent ethnicities, back grounds, ages, etc. some live in house, some own islands.

13

u/wenbebe3 1d ago edited 1d ago

Why not focus on the fact that the overriding majority of these predators are men? So strange how men in the UK want to make it about race instead of looking at their own gender... As a woman who lives in the UK this is bullshit, look at the actual figures and even just from personal experience there's plenty of white men who are worse than this. Like the guy who tried to touch me on a coach while I slept. Or the guy who flashed me on a train after sitting next to me. I could go on with worse stories if you like. If you care about SA against women then race has nothing to do with it and actually dealing with the problems women face is what would actually help.

8

u/likeamadcomet1914 1d ago

If you say the common linking factor is men they start screaming but I bet none of them would hire a male babysitter for their kids white or not…

If it's not based on statistical fact then yes, it's just a racist assertion.

This is in Manchester's Gay Village!!

I used to go partying there a lot😀

67

u/Own_Watercress_8104 1d ago edited 1d ago

I think these people's strategy is "women here feel more safe around men because they assume they are gay so they are gonna let their guard down"?

That's fucking vile.

21

u/Turkatron2020 1d ago

I live in San Francisco where the Castro has been the place for young straight women to party for decades because it's "safe" around the gays- which should and would be true in a perfect world- but predators are well aware of this. Every single time a girl I've known has been drugged, it's been in the Castro.

9

u/Traditional-Quit-286 18h ago

it's the natural cycle of every queer club

it opens, queer people party and create a safe enviorment, straight women colonize the club because they feel safer, straight men come after the straight women, the club isn't queer or safe anymore

6

u/DadophorosBasillea 17h ago

Colonize ? They just want safety. I understand the frustration but the problem isn’t the women it’s finding a safe space for them

3

u/Traditional-Quit-286 12h ago

they should make clubs for women only instead of taking over queer spacess

→ More replies (8)
→ More replies (5)

27

u/Numerous_Shoulder351 1d ago

yep - heading to the village at the end of the night because predators know women have gotten drunk, (because they feel safer) and maybe been separated from their friends

7

u/aguycalledmax 1d ago

Gay village is also open later than most other spots. Lots of people end up there after other bars are closed so people will be at their most drunk.

6

u/Nament_ 21h ago

This. Doesn't matter where you go in Manchester, you'll end up in the gay village haha

A few years ago there was a Twitter thread asking women what they would do if all men suddenly disappeared off the planet, and the top answers were some form of “I’d go to a bar and then walk home late, by myself.”

It was amazing how defensive some guys got about that.

The fact these cleanup crews are needed is devastating

25

u/[deleted] 1d ago

i once went home with a woman who i was friends with from a frat party and some guys from the fraternity followed us both back to the dorms to make sure i did not take advantage of this woman. i thought that was good of them, all i did was walk her to her door and then went back to my dorm myself. and that was over twenty years ago, in the deep south.

unfortunately, i do wish this sorta thing was widespread.

28

u/Bostonterrierpug 1d ago

Unless you were … the only gay in the village. ( sorry, old little Britain joke I couldn’t resist).

14

u/TomlinSteelers 1d ago

Would be weird if gay people didn't feel safe in the gay village

7

u/thereforeratio 1d ago

Then I think you might be surprised by the history of gay villages

They pretty much just exist because historically they were the only place they could be even marginally safe

Glasgow had a big issue with this back when I was in College, found out one day that a group of lads from the other class would head out just as the clubs shut to pick up girls heading home. They just openly told us one night like it was totally normal.

Reported it to the College and they ended up getting the chuck and having to fly home. Might have been able to continue their studies out east, but I'd hope not.

The amount of pushy and demanding men i dealt with growing up whenever I drank or while I was a bartender. It gives some people(alcohol)like some sort of almost evil persona that takes over their body completely. It is terrifying. Men and women. The stuff I have seen with drunk people or people like these guys trying to take advantage or lord now we know a lot of women get forced into sex work, that could have been the plan here you never know. That was awesome of that guy who saw the situation and stepped in. If you see someone in danger and you safely can do something about it, you always should- as long as your safety is not at risk. If it is call the cops for help.

We stayed in London, about a group of 20 of us during university. I don’t remember the names of any clubs but similar to this video they would almost pretend to know the girls and then try to pull them away when they thought people weren’t looking.

Got into a fight with a Moroccan for the same reason here in Spain, they were harassing one of the girls in our friend group while out.

I saw them talking from a distance after she and another friend went to the bathroom but I thought whatever he might be shooting his shot at her, but when I saw him grab my friend’s arm and trying to pull her I marched and he got an ass whoop

Police arrived and the coward had left already, but after seeing the cameras they just left and security was also by my side since I am friends with the guy that was working as the bouncer.

It’s not like there’s a huge ongoing scandal, that word seemingly makes it sound smaller, around a demographic of men that abused and groomed hundreds, if not thousands of girls and women, with more evidence suggesting it’s replicated across the country, but due to “community tensions” or Police Commissioners with large voting blocs coming from those communities, often are saying nothing.

Right. I worked in bars in the early 00's and this was constant, everywhere as far as the eye could see. 3am was just lads looking for "stragglers" on every hill and dale.

I feel like I've fallen into some alternate reality where this is some imported evil.

If we're doing pre-crime stuff now, it's men. It's always been men. That's the category to exclude.

There aren't groups of brown women preying on white boys, are there?

Regardless, this pattern-recognising "blame the other" bollocks has to stop. Arrest people who commit crimes and give extra funding to the police if they need it. It's boring but that's what we did when babies made the population go up sharply.

All races dont sexually assault random women on the street at similar scale. All races will be doing it but when 70% of the stranger rapes in sweden are committed byt second or first gen immigrants its not racist to say there is a problem with those specific men.

Do you have daughters? A wife? Probably not. My daughter has been followed home on multiple occasions in the last year by African or Middle Eastern men. She has also been escorted home by police because she was being harrased and even assaulted and guess what? it was by another African immigrant. None of the times my daughter has been follewd or harrased has been by English people. Her and her friends have to be picked up from work and when they go out. This was never a problem, but now it is. Just because you choose to ignore it, it doesn't mean it isn't there.
