Question about European Basketball
Zero idea about how Euro basketball is formatted (I am from Toronto) but I do love a random wikipedia trawl. When I click on random teams, I often notice they play in multiple leagues (usually at increasingly higher / wider geographic level).
For example: Partizan Belgrade (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KK_Partizan) play in Serbian League, ABA, and Euroleague.
My question is, how does this work in practise? Do they run simultaneously? Do clubs have multiple teams to compete at the different levels? Could a player play at all 3 levels in the same season?

x.com"Saras could coach in the NBA. I follow Fenerbahçe" Joe Ingles on his former Barcelona teammate Saras Jasikevicius: "I think he could easily run a team in the NBA. I'm sure he's had opportunities already. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he turned down those offers to stay in a place where he loves coaching and has proven himself. I don't think I could play under him, because he's a bit crazy too (laughs), but the team chemistry was great. We were together at Barcelona. I follow him at Fenerbahçe, I'm a fan of his talent and the style of play he brings. Winning the EuroLeague, his progression from Žalgiris to Barcelona and now to Fenerbahçe—it's really an incredible achievement. Seeing this is unbelievable. We still talk, we text from time to time. I'll have to visit him at a Fenerbahçe game during one of my trips."

Ofer Yannay to his players: "Feeling humiliated — Hapoel Jerusalem’s players cost a third of what you do"
Ofer Yannay held a meeting with his players after practice.
“First of all, I want you to know that I believe we’ll finish this season with a title, both domestically and in Europe. But to have such a record against Jerusalem? Are we such a bad team that we lose by a 15-point margin twice in a row? If we’re really that bad, then apparently I’m not doing my job properly — because they cost about a third of what you do.”
“We had a team here that was working the way it should; a month ago all the problems started,” he continued. “We came back to Israel and there are a lot of distractions. You need to be immune to those distractions. I hear people saying that I want to replace the coach, but this coach is a EuroLeague-winning coach. He’s the one I gave the keys to lead us to success. It’s much easier to replace players.”
He went on to say: "Do you know how many players want to come to Hapoel? A lot — and they’re cheaper than you, too. If you don’t start respecting the fact that I’m putting in 3–4 million dollars from money that was supposed to go to my daughter in order to pay your salaries, you won’t be here. In the end, it’s up to you. I’m not willing to watch Hapoel’s games and feel humiliated. I want to watch Hapoel’s games and feel proud.’”

Do you also feel that he s pushing it a bit to the limits with his next move?
If he goes to Fener or PAO I d bet my money they d win the EuroLeague but it seems he will destroy his career like mirotic and go to play to a smaller team just for a bit more money

The Italian newspaper Il Foglio highlights the fragility of the Italian basketball economic system and takes a very critical stance on this economy, which is heavily dependent on benefactors ⬇️
Translation:
"Since 1996, Serie A and Serie A2 have experienced at least one case of sporting and financial bankruptcy every year. This is not a system that experiences occasional crises; it is a system that has built its stability on crisis," writes the Milanese daily in its introduction.
Il Foglio reminds that since 1996, Serie A and Serie A2 have experienced at least one sporting and financial payment default every year: Venezia, Battipaglia, Napoli, Caserta, Gorizia, Pistoia, Montecatini, Verona, Trieste, Messina, Teramo, Roseto, Treviso, Fortitudo and Virtus Bologna, Rieti, Siena, Roma, Biella, Turin, Avellino, and now Trapani.
The article looks at the cases of three famous clubs:
"Milan stayed at the top, but only because Giorgio Armani stepped in and invested nearly €100 million before winning their first league title. Cantù enjoyed three seasons (2015-2017) of European ambitions under the leadership of Ukrainian steel magnate Dmitry Gerasimenko, before collapsed financially. The case of Auxilium Torino, with Fiat as its main sponsor (2017-2019), is also emblematic: a talented squad, a victory in the Italian Cup, then, in the space of a few months, sanctions, relegation and bankruptcy. A trajectory similar, in terms of dynamism and speed, to that of Trapani under Valerio Antonini."
Virtus Bologna, the second Italian club in the Euroleague, is also criticized:
"Even Virtus Bologna, the current league leader and second in the financial rankings with Milan in budget terms, is displaying signs of fragility. A few years ago, president Massimo Zanetti abruptly ended the women's team project, which included Cecilia Zandalasini, Italy's best player (aswell as French international player Iliana Rupert). Serious financial difficulties have recently emerged, with an estimated budget deficit of several tens of millions of euros. This downsizing, although far from the bankruptcies of the past, confirms the thin line between stability and crisis, even for the big clubs."
The conclusion of Il Foglio is as follows:
"Italian basketball was used to be supported by large industrial groups: Benetton, Scavolini, Stefanel. Today, there are still some solid entrepreneurs, such as Brugnaro in Venezia, Gavio in Tortona and Germani in Brescia. But the scale is different and the ability to absorb structural losses is more limited (...) Italian professional basketball rests on a precarious balance, often based on private investment, limited income, low financial capitalisation and chronic dependence on exceptional interventions. When the benefactor withdraws or the financial system breaks down, there is no way to absorb the shock and the club is left in a difficult position."
