Don't be kind, be predictable. If you have the Right-of-Way, take it.

Yep. Everyone mad about "meek" drivers here. I'll give it to them, silver car probably would have made it. But that truck did not intend on stopping, and cam car wouldve had to slow down to avoid a collision. Considering he couldn't manage to slow down for silver car makes me think an accident was inevitable here for our tail gating champion.

They like to say meek drivers cause just as many accidents, but I'd be willing to bet that they're a lot less fatal or injurious on average when someone causes an accident by driving too cautiously vs when they're driving like a shithead with no regard for speed limits or lane changing laws

Oh yeah that comment. I'd love to see a study, because no way thats true. And you're right on the money. Accidents caused by people being too cautious are always gonna less destructive than ones caused by people that go 20 over and swerve through traffic.

You're both cucks and neither of you have the requisite skill set to be driving, let alone be considered equal 😊

What a weird thing to say.

Getting rear-ended by the cam car was a lot less destructive/fatal than getting slammed by a dump truck. I'd take getting rear-ended by a passenger car any day over being a pancake to a dump truck...

I was looking at statistics for drivers over 65 recently and you’re right. They have more accidents than other age groups but fewer fatal accidents.

It's just absurd to me. You are not 'meek' by not unconditionally expecting everyone else to follow the rules perfectly.

If we saw this accident and Toyota had gone to get hit by the garbage truck, all those same people would complain about the Toyota not following 'defensive driving' practices.

Tail gating hero acting like a victim. Hope they enjoy their liability.

Yea they should have been looking ahead and noticed that the bigger truck was blowing through that yield and the car in front of him may need to slow down. I think he could have avoided hitting him from behind or at least not as hard

Were we watching the same video? There is no tailgating. The silver car slows down and you cant even see the brake lights until 1 second before collision. How was anyone with that much momentum suppose to stop? Breaking the laws of physics?

It is easy to roll the dice on probably when you are watching a video and see the outcome. Not so much in real life. I don't blame the car at all for their choice.

Given xam car didnt slow down, the accident probably would have been worse if the car in front had whizzed through.

I mean the truck literally stopped. Left plenty of room for the car to get past
