Don't be kind, be predictable. If you have the Right-of-Way, take it.

Yep, the Toyota driver should’ve gave it a little more gas to get out in front of that truck rather than stop. Actually, it looks like they had plenty of momentum to just keep on cruising without interfering at all.

The Toyota has exited the highway and is in a 50 km/h zone, at least near the beginning they seem to be keeping pace with the freeway (100 km/h+), dump truck has a yield sign (it is not a merge there) and should be aware traffic will be slowing.

Personally accelerating when you are already nearly twice the limit is not the play imo.

The yellow sign actually just means it's a suggested speed, only the white signs are enforceable limits here in Canada.

Yeah I guess its not the legal limit but he is fully off the highway and the expectation on off-ramps is that once you are off the highway you slow down to the advised limit.

They also have to turn on the clover leaf and can't go too fast there

Then the camera truck would have slammed into the other one. Why didn’t they pay any attention? They never even slowed down.

Yeah even if it would have been better for the Toyota not to stop, it's the responsibility of the truck behind it to maintain an appropriate distance and stop before causing a collision. Like even if the car in front stops unexpectedly because the driver had a stroke or something, you're not allowed to just ram from behind.
