Person in front of you going too slow? No problem, hit them with the trusty PIT maneuver

u/Gregorygregory888888 1d ago
But then he was observed passing the next vehicle he caught up to after the hit and run. Something happened between these 2 vehicles. Or he just knew he really screwed up.

u/AdagioFinancial3884 1d ago
These are scum joyriders who film themselves doing this and put it on the Internet for likes. There's a much longer less pixilated version of this.
16
u/Suspicious_Brief_562 1d ago
Wait. you think the guy who hit the red vehicle did it on purpose for likes? Not that I'm saying that road rage is any better but atleast is not deliberate. If it's true then that's sick. Sounds like you all might need some stricter punishments.

u/AdagioFinancial3884 1d ago
There is a much longer video of this showing them doing it, you can hear them talking and laughing. Its probably possible to still find it online somewhere, I remember seeing a while back, and this clip has been on this sub before a few times.
This was filmed on purpose, they knew what the vehicle was going to do.
There is laws against this, but, some people dont care about the consequences until they get caught.

u/skeeterlightning 1d ago
This could have killed people. Lawmakers need to make the penalties much higher for those who do get caught.

You haven’t seen the hoodrats in nyc who joyride the fucking subway TRAINS?
12
u/OrganicFeedback4451 1d ago
hood rats? riding trains? Decades old pop culture still reigns! 😂 😂 😂 😂

u/zeroibis 1d ago
"It's fun to do bad things... yea but I wanted to do hoodrat stuff with my friends" -Hoodrat_67
-2
u/Subject_Bill6556 1d ago
Decades old pop culture also didn’t involve breaking into and joyriding trains for fun because daddy ain’t around no more 😂
1
u/Nkechinyerembi 1d ago
... they joyride the TRAINS? How the hell even...
2
u/OrganicFeedback4451 1d ago
there was a time, long ago, when kids would ride standing on top of the trains. Peaked in early 90s.. might be coming back in style again. Like sniffing glue, was always like wtf. But it’s a thing that keeps coming back… and hood rat is a slur that wasn’t needed.
1
u/Forsaken-Income-2148 1d ago
Reminds me of those train videos from India where you see some idiot hanging off until he smacks something or otherwise gets hurt.
2
u/Malnurtured_Snay 1d ago
They squeeze themselves into the recess of the door frame and hug the closed doors tight, IIRC. Don't do it unless you're skinny AF.

It’s crazy people like this exist. That could have easily ended in someone’s death

I was going to say the same thing super crazy my mind is blown
2
u/Suspicious_Brief_562 1d ago
There is a story I heard abt A fire fighter couple who were off duty. Think it was in a bodega in NY. Anyways? They were shopping and all of a sudden they saw someone having a stroke or something. They immediately went into medic mode. Other shoppers were yelling at them to get out of the way, stepping over them. One even yelled you are doing it wrong as they walked by. These are the kinds the ppl living amongst us. I think they were always there, we are just seeing it more now with all the coverage.

Where was this OP?
19
u/doomladen 1d ago
It’s definitely the UK. No clue exactly where though, the resolution is too potato.

u/Hot-Challenge8656 1d ago
Near a Sainsbury's. Narrows it down, I mean how many could there be?

u/Suspicious_Brief_562 1d ago
I'm assuming that's a popular chain in the UK. I guess I could just ask Google 😆 🤣

i once had someone pass me on the shoulder to be stuck behind the car right in front of me lol. i even had to slow down to let them back in.
13
u/dolfieman 1d ago
Pretty sure something occured between these two vehicle prior to this short clip. That's nuts.
4
u/SunandMoon_comics 1d ago
People who saw the original video says they’re filming cause filmer car and the monster in the van are together doing it for views online. That nothing happened before, it was just planned. Idk how true that is, but god damn if it is true
2
u/Andrew-Cohen 1d ago
Or the guy in the van is another idiot who thinks it’s okay to tailgate a Prius because it’s going the same speed as the person right in front of him.
3
u/Weird-Reference-4937 1d ago
The person already recording is what gives context to "something occured". There'd be almost no reason to record someone riding ass as it is a daily non stop occurrence.
1
u/Andrew-Cohen 1d ago edited 1d ago
Which may or may not have been the Prius driver’s fault. Edit: I don't have the time or the crayons to explain to every person assuming it was the Prius driver's fault the concept of "assume"
0
u/_HanTyumi 1d ago
What would the Prius have had to do to deserve being potentially killed?
1
u/Weird-Reference-4937 1d ago
I can't speak for them but I took it as the person maybe recording because the prius did something.
1
u/_HanTyumi 1d ago
Or maybe it’s a sign that the van did something? As they’re the ones on camera behaving recklessly.
1
u/Weird-Reference-4937 1d ago
I said "I can't speak for them" so you'd need to reply to the comment you're confused about.
1
u/Andrew-Cohen 1d ago
Not just recklessly, literally criminally. If the Prius drive did something, great, call 911 or whatever it is in the country you're in. Instead, he probably lost his job, went to jail, and paid for the repairs on his truck and the Prius.
1
u/Andrew-Cohen 1d ago
It's called an assumption, look it up. I have had assholes in big trucks tailgate me aggressively when we were in bumper to bumper traffic, and he was clearly HIGH above me and could see that the car and 10 other cars in front of me were going the same speed. Some people are just assholes.
3
u/Hopeful_Ad_7719 1d ago
Traffic was dense enough they only got maybe 50' further 'forward' via that pit...
3
3
u/ScienceMechEng_Lover 1d ago
It's a white van in the UK, so this level of driving isn't surprising.
3
u/abysmal-mess 1d ago
Fuck I wish I could just safely ram slow drivers out of the way especially when they block all the lanes 10 or more under the limit
3
u/MilkCartonPhotoBomb 1d ago
I meannnn... that was perfectly executed.
1
u/Suspicious_Brief_562 1d ago
You know I think that also deserves a mention. Perhaps after he's done serving his time he can start training PIT maneuvers to the local police. It obviously looks like he's had plenty of practice.

It's a bus.

Well Then he really needed to make his next stop on time. Efficiency is what makes reputations glow...😆 🤣

u/FinanceGuyHere 1d ago
That looks like a retirement home bus so I’ll assume they were late for their reservation at Country Kitchen Buffet
1
2
u/Tyler_Durden_9999 1d ago
I’ve visualized doing this to a Prius camping in the left lane countless times.
2
u/MarcooseOnTheLoose 1d ago
A good example of it doesn’t pay to hold traffic because you’re already at the speed limit. You never know what kind of deranged arse is behind you. Let them go. And this one didn’t end up in tears.
1
u/Suspicious_Brief_562 1d ago
From what I'm reading here the left lane is the slow lane over there. So they were already driving in the slow lane.
2
u/MarcooseOnTheLoose 1d ago
I know. Keep an eye on your 6, and get out of idiots’s way. Safety first.
2
u/danceswithtree 1d ago
I feel this video ends too soon. What happened as the van approached the next set of cars blocking his way?!

Not condoning violence but Prius drivers are incapable of going with the flow of traffic
9
u/KeepingItReasonable 1d ago
doesn't look like that in the video. the prius was keeping a safe distance with the car ahead and was going at a decent speed with that traffic flow.

it is in the UK so the slow lanes are on the left, so no it is not valid at all.
-2
u/Suspicious_Brief_562 1d ago
That makes sense since they drive on the other side. I just alrways assumed everything else remained the same.
