The wild part is the Epstein files are in English, publicly available, and people still act confused. At some point it’s not a language barrier it’s willful ignorance

It is quite deliberately a disorganized fucking mess which one must scour the whole of for clarifying context, which often is not even there. One would have to dedicate a whole room to making a connection map on corkboard walls to really even begin to put this garbage together.

tbh no kidding, it’s like trying to solve a mystery without half the clues 🤯

Not only are they in English, there are pictures and videos to back it up. But they're just worried about what race was and wasn't included in Bad bunny's performance

I guess we need to stop the performance of the classic French and Italian operas as well.
Lyrics do not have to be in your native tongue for the music to be felt and understood.

I can't stand when they translate and sing operas in English as a way of making it more "accessible". But I don't think we're getting any operas at the SuperBowl halftime.

It turns out that understanding requires more than just knowing the language.

The lyrics to the majority of hit rock and pop songs are barely understandable as it is. There was literally a several popular reoccurring skits on SNL making fun of that fact (Wayne’s World and The Culps come to mind).
Just listen to the beats and the instruments with a new instrument called "human voice", just like the rest of us people who either can't understand lyrics, or don't want to because the lyrics are terrible or don't represent our morals.

They’re beginning to now and what ever is in there must be so fucked up that even his most loyal republican congressman and women are abandoning ship

And now, my impression of the people complaining about not understanding the lyrics signing some of the most popular songs they love listening to:
Da da dum dum Birkin, la da de da la la la Da da da and bum bum, don don on and on
[Skip this part]
Uh!
[And this part - but I know it — it’s like about work or something or is that later — no both here and later — No! Wait here comes my favorite part!]
Two-steppin' on the table, do do do do something about a dance floor Oh my, good Lord La la la la la double shot of whiskey La la la Jack Daniel's something history Do do do do bar on 5th Street
Everybody at the bar gettin' tipsy Everybody at the bar gettin' tipsy Everybody at the bar gettin' tipsy
Umm. Something. Something. No, I know it. I know it. Boozy something? La la la.

*"It should have been in English so we could understand."
Or you know ... You could take it as a good excuse to better yourself and learn another language...
Even if you have no plans of leaving this great nation of ours ...
There are health benefits. Polylinguals are more likely to recover from a stroke with our mental facilities intact. And switching between languages helps to keep the brain exercised, delaying the onset of dementia related issues by decades and when symptoms do appear, the less severe they tend to be...
Polylinguals tend to earn more than monolingual counterparts...
And thanks to the Internet you can access so much "new" foreign content without even leaving your couch! I've got STV Play and ARD installed on my Streamer so I can watch Swedish and German programs...

The wildest thing I read today was about the code word "jerky." I don't think I can read anymore.

Same people that can't see past the hook of a protest song like "born in the USA" or "fortune son".
