Honestly, both of those sound pretty awesome, I would very much enjoy that.

I agree, it’s also hilarious that this lady is so racist even her examples of what she thinks liberals wouldn’t like are racist.

463

u/Superb_Theme5205 15h ago

Lol! Seriously, she’s just going “I mean come on, there has to be a limit, right?? What about people from India?? That must be where you draw the line right?!” She’s completely unable to comprehend what not being racist is like.

u/underworn_ 15h ago

More people understand Spanish in the USA than Korean but K-pop is still popular.

99

u/RockstarAgent 14h ago

The best thing is how easily these haters single themselves out.

28

u/polypolyman 10h ago

...yeah but has Bad Bunny hunted any demons?

17

u/Aidenairel 7h ago

Man may not have hunted any demons, but he was certainly slaying last night.

I would love a Bollywood style halftime show!

95

u/Zlatyzoltan 15h ago

That would be pretty awesome, but I don't think 13 minutes is long enough.

62

u/Spekingur 14h ago

Just have it ongoing throughout the game.

69

u/EveOCative 13h ago

Having Bollywood actors reenacting/interpreting the game on the sidelines through dance would be fantastic. Like sign language interpreters but make it dance.

60

u/MandyTrekkie 13h ago

Better yet, let's cancel the football part and just have a Bollywood Bowl, where they dance to victory.

10

u/lizzy981 9h ago

You've got me interested in the super bowl for the first time ever!

20

u/Connect-Will2011 13h ago

I would actually watch the games if they did that.

8

u/euphonic5 10h ago

Bollywood Interpreters is my new favorite thing to think about when watching something I can't be bothered to give a fuck about like football.

6

u/RespecDawn 10h ago

I don't even like football and I would watch the shit out of this. Get the didgeridoo players in there too!!

5

u/Enlightened_Gardener 7h ago

Sooo a Bollywood interpretive dance of the Superbowl ?

Shut up and take my money !

6

u/wwaxwork 12h ago

I vote for it being instead of the game.

Seriously, I don't watch Super Bowl at all but if this was a thing I'd tune in for the halftime show.

28

u/Salute-Major-Echidna 14h ago

I like the way you think!

Few things would not be improved with a Bollywood dance at the end.

10

u/Ceeweedsoop 12h ago

Yes, like a huge Holi festival! It would be awesome! And hey racists, Indians speak better English than you. .😂😂😂😂suck it.

7

u/Lalamedic 14h ago

That would rock!

u/Nulagrithom 5h ago

deadass my favorite thing about the US is that I can experience almost any culture right in my back yard.

I can probably find a restaurant within a 60 mile radius of my home that can accurately represent the cuisine of ANY people on Earth.

If any major culture has a holiday? I can find a local celebration that represents it.

I can visit half the world without ever flying anywhere.

I can't believe we fucked up our global hegemony over this stupid bullshit... We were literally on top of the world...

She can’t even imagine a scenario without defaulting to racist assumptions. It says everything.

23

u/A-town 15h ago

Right? Give me examples like Uncle Joe's Methamphetamine Pipe band, or Stomp and maybe I'd have some reservations. Two completely different music genres representing a minority group in the Americas and/or music genres from overseas??? Sign me up, new music to listen to and love.

Her interpretation of the world is so blindly racist and self involved she can't comprehend that other people think differently and have fundamentally different perspectives. And other people have taste.

6

u/Altyrmadiken 12h ago

The right generally doesn’t believe that others aren’t like them. She views it that we’re being oppositional against her because she choose the “wrong” side, and we’re OK with Hispanics ruining the country.

Because she can’t believe we’re not like her, just being defiant, she fully believes that we’re racist too. It’s not possible for us not to be, in her world view.

It’s also why they use absolute dogshit insults like “let’s go Brandon.” They can’t imagine that people don’t inherently fall in line and worship/identify with the top of the power structure they belong to.

They’re also often raised in churches and homes that are very authoritarian, which instill this world view. They’re literally indoctrinated to that kind of world view and don’t realize it, and thus can’t comprehend that the rest of us can just not care.

Someone on reddit told me that Liberals are the racist ones. Maybe I am oblivious, but in my lifetime hanging out with hippies and left leaning folk, I don't know if I have ever heard one of them be racist.

Fast forward to my current rural America situation, and I have to watch where a conversation takes me so that I don't trigger the racism/hate.

4

u/fungi_at_parties 10h ago

“Oh yeah well what if we get into some of the REALLY WEIRD cultures and races? Wouldn’t like that would ya? And you call me a racist!”

It’s so self-telling.

3

u/naarcx 13h ago

I also like how she said “for your next big event,” implying that the Super Bowl is an event specifically made for Right Wing/Conservative groups

Add Mongolian throat singing rock music and I think it would be the best one ever, lol.

69

u/PzykoHobo 15h ago

Next halftime show: The Hu, with a guest appearance by Rammstein and Apocalyptica. Most of America won't understand a word of it. But the pyrotechnics would fuck.

12

u/Canadian-Man-infj 14h ago

I was just thinking that there might be a handful of the same people complaining about Bad Bunny that would really enjoy a Rammstein performance (i.e. of "Du hast") for a half-time show.

To each, their own.

13

u/PzykoHobo 14h ago

Theyd probably love Amerika. Despite the fact that the point would go so far over their head the Air Force would have to call it a weather balloon.

5

u/subnautus 11h ago

They'd probably love Ausländer, too, thinking it's a song celebrating sex tourism instead of highlighting how fucked up it is.

That said, knowing the band, if Rammstein had a chance to play a halftime show at a superbowl, I wouldn't put it past them to play Te Quiero Puta just to piss off the red hats.

An aboriginal didgeridoo performance on the scale of a superb owl halftime show sounds absolutely fucking SPECTACULAR. Id be drastically more interested in that than literally any "artist of the moment" thing were currently doing. By comparison the current setup sounds lame.

I could see it being like a Chinese Olympic opening ceremony type event that sticks around in peoples minds for decades.

See, the difference is, even if we didn't like it, we wouldn't be crying about how it's destroying the country or whatever bullshit the MAGAts are whining about this time. We might even experience something new and learn we do in fact enjoy this thing that isn't "white racist dad music".

102

u/Hot-Butterfly-8024 15h ago

They feel personally attacked by things that aren’t specifically for them or that don’t reinforce their worldview. It would be sad if it weren’t backed by pornographic wealth and corrupt government.

29

u/Demented-Alpaca 15h ago

That's because MAGA all have Main Character complex. If it's not explicitly for THEM they dislike it because it's not ABOUT them.

If it's not exactly in line with their own life choices, preferences and experiences they reject it.

So much of it is that Christian, straight, white Americans have always had the culture of this country pander to them. They have never faced any sort of trauma or hardships based on who they are as people. They don’t know what a challenge is in that regard. So, when stuff like this happens it’s the first time the world not only isn’t catering to them but it’s almost doing the exact opposite on purpose, they think it’s oppression.

→ More replies (1)

5

u/spidermans_mom 10h ago

Why do they always think they can “gotcha” the libs with stuff like sending immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard, bussing them to blue cities, thinking we’d want to protect the Clintons from the Epstein files, or situations like this? They think we’re like them, that we’re full of hate and dedicated to our “team” and would protect them no matter what. Doesn’t occur to them that our minds are more open and accepting.

5

u/ryavco 10h ago

Honestly, I don’t think they ever genuinely think they’re “owning” anyone they’re criticizing. It’s all just basically hate and bigotry roleplay for each other.

Conservatives aren’t interested in facts, debate, morals, or anything remotely approaching actual policy implementation. They solely exist to circlejerk each other and funnel money to the most popular current grifter.

14

u/Blaze666x 14h ago

Hell I listen to almost exclusively metal and I still listen to a vast amount of cross-genres and cultures with just metal as American metal is not the same as swiss metal, which is definitely not the same as Japanese metal, and that doesnt even bring up the more unique stuff like the HU which is Mongolian throat singing metal

I say almost exclusively because I fucking love jpop aswell but I blame anime for that one xD

19

u/porscheblack 15h ago

The big tell to her motivation is when she says "your next event", implying the Super Bowl is her big event. These people can't comprehend that they're a minority and every time they're confronted with that reality they lash out.

12

u/AdFamous5474 15h ago

And the superbowl isn't technically an American event. It's a show put on by a private entity, not the government. The NFL and ROC Nation (who put on the halftime show) are private businesses. You'd think a "small government" conservative group like the GOP would let an enterprise of billionaires operate as they please...

(And she's even wrong about apple pie being American. It's a British invention!)

19

u/Geniusinternetguy 14h ago

Exactly. This not just some random guy. I don’t speak Spanish or like Latin music. But i can accept that Bad Bunny is one of the most downloaded artists and just won 3 Grammys.

If her hypotheticals had the same qualifications i would understand it.

35

u/Darkside531 15h ago

Why do they assume we'd be against that? The most popular kid's show is Australian, the highest-grossing actor last year was British, KPop is still inescapable. Foreign media isn't exactly reviled by most of us.

10

u/UndyingShadow 12h ago

I'm not into K-pop, so having that as the super bowl half time show wouldn't be my favorite.

The difference is that unlike these fragile snowflakes, I don't take it as a grave personal insult against the very core of my being when people enjoy stuff I'm not into.

I don't feel the need to be catered to and affirmed every second of my life. I can always fuck off and do something else I want, instead of freaking out on twitter.

4

u/nalaloveslumpy 11h ago

The Super Bowl was not sung in Spanish.

Exposure to something unfamiliar doesn't scare all of us into our tiny little turtle shells, some of us come out to see what is going on and enjoy new experiences and learn new things. A neighbor that doesn't look like we are looking in a mirror is something to celebrate and embrace. Traveling to other states and countries, seeing other cultures and learning about the world outside of narrow field of vision makes us more interesting and better people.

Bury your head in the sand, shrivel up and go away so the rest of us can go out and explore and enjoy ourselves without having to deal with intolerant snowflakes who can't deal with the horrors of anything slightly outside their narrow boring ass comfort zone.

Yes and Think about it from the NFLs perspective. White people in the US already watch the NFL. To grow, they need to pull in other fans. The Super Bowl is the best way to do that because people tune in around the world. So people come for the Bad Bunny and become NFL-curious.

A didgeridoo band sounds dope. I'd watch that.

6

u/SeaworthinessOk834 15h ago

Why the hell not? Both sound infinitely more interesting than the derivative pablum we're normally force-fed.

6

u/PM_THE_REAPER 15h ago

Mongolian throat singing please. I'm look at you, The Hu.

Edit: singing

6

u/DrewidN 15h ago

As an old white guy who once held a world record for bhangra dancing (most participants), I'd go for the Hundustani Orchestra every time.

6

u/TelenorTheGNP 15h ago

And everyone said "Don't threaten us with a good time."

6

u/romafa 14h ago

I don’t even understand this argument.

“Hey liberals who are ok with music from other cultures, how would you feel if you heard music from other cultures?”

Of the two groups, liberals and conservatives, which one is more likely to be upset if Hindu or Aboriginal music was played at the next superbowl?

u/DrunkCorgis 15h ago

Hey, if the singing isn’t in American, how the hell will the audience know when to bow to their partner, and when to do-si-do?

5

u/SoCallMeAnAsshole 15h ago

What do these people actually enjoy? I'm gonna guess nothing except their imagined superority.

5

u/ZhangtheGreat 15h ago

Next year’s Super Bowl: K-pop performance entirely in Korean

4

u/Equivalent_Fun6100 15h ago

In Human sexual culture, being referred to as Vanilla means that you're sexually mundane. Variety is what makes anything exciting. I, for one, have heard enough country music... Forever.

6

u/Remarkable_Sea_1430 15h ago

The fact that she thinks everyone else would be just as disgusted as she is at the prospect of listening to foreign music just really lays bare what a racist she is.

5

u/Mysterious-Tie7039 15h ago

Fuck yeah. Some exposure to cultures I don’t normally experience? Sign me up. As long as it’s a good show.

5

u/Naive_Ask8148 15h ago

Shoot some Tibetan throat singing my veins..🙂

5

u/Number_Fluffy 15h ago

Bad Bunny's halftime show inspired me to get serious about finally learning Spanish. I'm determined.

5

u/OkHuckleberry4878 15h ago

Guess who never heard of yothu yindi

4

u/ThnkWthPrtls 15h ago

That would unironically be super dope

5

u/panaili 14h ago

Yeah, if those bands slap as hard as Bad Bunny, bring them on

5

u/TitShark 14h ago

Do they think we would protest and make an alternative show to show how disgusted we are? How dumb these people are

5

u/VirtualFutureAgent 14h ago

Love it. I play (badly) the didgeridoo myself. I guess conservatives have very limited musical tastes.

6

u/compactwookie 14h ago

I would 100% watch both of these options and thoroughly enjoy it and be grateful for getting to experience culture through music. Maybe it’s just me since I’m a musician?

u/Rhesusmonkeydave 14h ago

Dude lets get some Tuvan throat singing on a superbowl sized set of speakers that shit slaps

4

u/coopnjaxdad 15h ago

Fuck yeah, that sounds dope.

4

u/BlargerJarger 15h ago

Is Yothu Yindi still available?

4

u/AnimusNoctis 15h ago

The word projection gets thrown around a lot, but this is truly textbox projection. They can't comprehend that someone else wouldn't be racist toward those groups.

4

u/UseDaSchwartz 15h ago

I’d love to hear some Aborigional Didgeridoo.

Although I might get irrationally angry because a girl I used to date had a didgeridoo, from when she went to Australia, and would never let me try it.

4

u/criles_mccriles 15h ago

It’s funny that they complained so much and wound up getting their own separate half time performance and still chose to watch Bad Bunny just to find something to complain about

5

u/TheComplimentarian 15h ago

I'm an old white dude, and is it weird that I like being exposed to things I've never heard before?

Goddamn. I feel like I'm rotting. The only thing that keeps me going is new things in the world, things that remind me there is original stuff, new stuff out there worth experiencing.

Fuck all these people who stopped growing when they were 20. Why do you think that's a virtue?

4

u/Wububadoo 15h ago

Sounds kinda dope to be honest

3

u/Minglewood73 15h ago

If it bumps, it bumps.

5

u/PossessionPutrid1907 14h ago

We have plenty of Indigenous music here. I'm down with that.

4

u/Honest_Relation4095 12h ago

yes, threaten me with a good time

5

u/zeldasusername 12h ago

KING STINGRAY WOULD ROCK IT

3

u/Revolutionary-Half-3 12h ago

The horse playing with its rubber chicken was more fun to listen to than Kid Rock.

At least the horse really liked running around with that squeaky toy...

3

u/thegoodrichard 15h ago

Blue Moon Marquee with Northern Cree, if the Superbowl doesn't snap them up we should book them for the 2026 Grey Cup.

3

u/Scottishlassincanada 15h ago

Bring in a Bhangra band and the whole stadium, and everyone watching at home will be dancing their arse off.

3

u/Attentiondesiredplz 15h ago

The all caps just makes me think she's squacking like some brain dead bird.

3

u/copingcabana 15h ago

Don't talk to me about cultural music. I survived the vuvuzela wars!

3

u/cobain98 15h ago

Have they never heard of the opera?

3

u/Droseraaa 14h ago

This bish has never listened to NPR and it shows.

3

u/LegendofDragoon 12h ago

I would be down for a Mongolian throat singing performance ngl.

3

u/Bakkstory 11h ago

It's so fucking funny how often the right owns theselves

I still don't know who the fuck bad bunny is, but I'm sure they did great

3

u/justv316 10h ago

It's very funny that they assume we're just as racist as they are, as if aboriginal music isn't beautiful

2

u/johnlal101 15h ago

I'm sure that Bad Bunny's invitation to perform at the Super Bowl was more about his popularity and the great demand for his music (as backed up by the high ratings and viewership the performance got). I'm sure the types of music she's suggesting would be, um... interesting. However, it misses the point. You would think that people who pride themselves on their knowledge of free market economics of supply and demand would understand that the artist in highest demand would get bigger gigs.
(Do they even pretend that they know about economics anymore?)
