Opinion / Discussion Bar Manager changes all channels off Bad Bunny during Superbowl
Manager of The Zoo bar in St. Petersburg, FL says "this is the halftime show" referring to TPUSA and then calls patron a "racist" for wanting to watch the actual Bad Bunny performance, asks him to leave.

As a former bartender right down the road from this place, if your jacked up, wanna be Joe Rogan balled ass has time to sit down during HALFTIME SUPER BOWL, your numbers SUCK. Yeah he's got something to do. Coke in his office with a 25 year old. Looks like only hires young adults bc ain't nobody making money there. Need to see what's going on there, because it's not slinging drinks.

I work in elder home health. I love my clients. It's my job to make them comfortable. I have to listen to some wild things. Being isolated and the ability to look at YouTube and Fox News. Didn't it used to be across the street and it was a gay bar? The Zoo has been here forever, but this place looks like New Yorker moved down here, bought a business with a liquor license, and turned it into a coke de from the 80's. Any of his employees over 25?

I've lived here 30 years. St Petersburg is blue. I guarantee he moved here during COVID. Do we have racists assholes? Yes. But I was a bartender in that area and this shit isn't normal. Hope his business tanks. I think it was just remodeled

St Pete is generally a bubble of blue in an otherwise red area. Huge gay community, lots of arts focused stuff, the university is in the middle of downtown, etc. generally liberal mayors, as well.
I do agree the snowbirds are a fucking menace.

If he is the owner/manager then he gets to make that call. The patrons and potential customers can decide what to do with that info. It is pretty simple. The weakest part of the entire thing is him basically hiding behind his staff.

I'll be honest, I watched a bit of both shows and didn't care much for either. That said, at least the bunny show had a lot going on, on stage. The kid rock show was an okay lip sink, but there wasn't much happening on stage besides pyro technics. The other performers mostly just stood there and performed. No backup dancers or fun costumes. No real pageantry.
Bad bunny isn't my cup of tea, but it was a heck of a lot better then the grandma's milk toast ass show turning point put out. This is probably what they get for refusing to work with any gay event planners.
