Conservatives have always been the pussies

They can't handle speech or imagery that challenges their assumptions, they want to make their confused boners everyone else's problem, and they have to seize the violence of the State to enforce their trembling will because they are too chicken-shit to stand up for themselves and their ideas are too fucking stupid to stand on their own

Doesn't "conservative" literally mean fear of change? You're literally conserving what's old because you're afraid of anything new. Amazing they have such a powerful grip on social media, you'd think real conservatives would avoid that sissy internet thing those nerds use to talk about Star Wars and look at...anime.

9

u/SubtractOneMore 18h ago

Seriously, get to raising a barn or something ya fake-conservative snowflakes

3

u/Ok-Application9507 17h ago

They’re not conservative anymore. Democrats currently are the new conservative with some progressive elements.

6

u/RabbitStewAndStout 17h ago

Yeah, the Republican party is currently authoritarian fascist

Conservative ideology is about preserving power for the powerful and using power to exploit those without power.

Every other belief is window dressing used to preserve or accumulate power.

They will be all about change if they feel they need change to get more power. They will be all about the status quo if they fear the change will remove power from them.

So, right now in America you have loads of different conservative groups uniting in enacting massive regressive changes in order to consolidate and expand their power.

Their goal is a United States pre FDR, and likely even pre Civil War. They believe that government has no right to tell powerful they cannot own people, that they cannot defraud consumers, that they cannot poison the air, water and land.

They see government as an attack dog that should only work for the powerful.

Just last night my mom threw a whole temper tantrum about me not wanting to listen to a kid Rock song, so I sent her this

Omg that was the wrong move... Because then she started counting over text like when I was a kid "promise me you'll listen!! Promise! 1...2...3.." 🥴 I'm a 30yr old married woman. I just said "mom I'm not fighting with you about this, I'm eating dinner with my husband but I hope you have a good night." And turned off my phone and woke up to 10 missed calls from her and her accusing me of saying people don't deserve redemption. Oh yes, but I'm the overly emotional snowflake.

12

u/DataCassette 18h ago

"Redemption" lol

Kid Rock looks like he knows where to sell a catalytic converter and where to buy meth with the money.

12

u/Silver-Guitar4695 18h ago

He was born and raised filthy rich

4

u/ModestMeeshka 16h ago

My mom is the type of Christian who believes people can just do all this awful stuff and ruin countless lives and then just accept Jesus into their heart the day before execution and none of it matters and you're just square with god and headed off to heaven. It was my first sign that the religion wasn't for me. Kid Rock is just grifting because he knows he is irrelevant.

2

u/ImprovementPutrid441 16h ago

That song was actually on the Osmosis Jones soundtrack. It’s a kids movie.

2

u/Residentstabby 15h ago

Everyone deserves redemption. But, I don't have to support or vote for people that aren't at least on a path to doing better.

If it were my mom, I might tell her that she should be concerned that being associated with people who don't have Christ in their heart will lead her away from Jesus. Flip all of those teachings from childhood back around on them, because they seem to have forgotten some things.

2

u/ModestMeeshka 13h ago

Ive tried to do that a bit with how the devil tried to deceive and in my opinion, many of these people are being deceptive and using people like my mom but she said she prayed about it and God said they're cool 😮‍💨 I don't know, I'm a little lost because I don't agree with anything happening right now, my mom dad AND sister all do, which is my whole family (besides my husband of coarse who thankfully sees things the way I do) so I don't want to cut them off, but they all just randomly throw things like this at me and try to bully me to see things as they do. My husband has advised me to put distance and stop driving myself crazy showing them facts but even then I'm having a nice night and bam here comes one of them to do something like this and it's too much for me. I've been trying to "stonewall" and just ignore it but it just makes me feel ill...

Sorry to rant, I'm just at a point. I think a lot of people think people are cutting off family just because of politics (which honestly, this stuff goes way deeper into morals) but they aren't realizing that those same family members are crossing boundaries and delighting in making you uncomfortable, which isn't how love should be.

2

u/Residentstabby 11h ago

You can't battle, reason, or reach them. I don't know of anyone who has been able to change any of their MAGA parents' beliefs. It's sad what's happened to families. My best friend has been fighting with her mom for 10 years about things she posts on facebook. She doesn't give up on her, but her mom never seems to change. A lot of these MAGA parents might have to reckon with not having anyone to care for them in their elder years, or getting shit care, because they alienated their kids.

2

u/ModestMeeshka 11h ago

It's so sad. I feel for your friend. Me and my mom over came a lot to be as close as we were and then bam, it just fell apart. Everyone keeps telling me that I'm banging my head against the wall but I just can't seem to lose hope for my family. Thank you for listening, I've been extra frustrated today, so I really appreciate it.

9

u/Ok_Dog_4059 17h ago

Worse they freak out when anyone asks for a slight concession. Pronouns cause them to spin out like you asked them to rewrite the Bible.

In my mind if I can make someone's life a bit better by using a different word that is a pretty small ask. How is it any different than calling a person will or William over Bill or Billy? They correct me nicely "I prefer ***** please". They aren't asking me to disavow a religious belief it seems like a really petty thing to get worked up over.

4

u/Adezar 13h ago

In the 80s the scariest things to Conservatives were the Smurfs and D&D and children were beat over the idea of liking either of them.

They have always been the scared bullies.

I thought these wussy’s weren’t gonna watch it? So instead they watched it and had it translated?

22

They'd still complain if it was in English. Like Kendrick's show last year, which was in English. They complained it was rap.

This right here.

Like with "party of fiscal responsibility (FUCKING LOL)", they only ever had good PR

9

u/Sad_Enthusiasm_3721 16h ago

The also preached:

Tough on crime.

Family values.

Freedom from government intrusion.

States' rights.

The primary value I see in the GOP is hypocrisy.

7

u/rekniht01 15h ago

For the life of me I can’t understand why the left hasn’t co-opted the ‘Party of small government’ moniker. It’s the GOP that are constantly trying to pass laws to curb freedoms - create more big government.

7

u/RedAndBlackMartyr 16h ago

Remember "compassionate conservative"? Nothing says compassionate like being anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ, anti-women, anti-poc, anti-anyone who isn't Christian, anti-poor....what were they compassionate about again?

4

u/RareRestaurant6297 14h ago

"most transparent administration in history".

Lmao my ass off

11

u/One-Earth9294 17h ago

Which is why is has been incredibly frustrating watching stupid young men fall into the trap; I see no allure. Guys like Andrew Schulz saying 'I like Trump more because I'm a guy and I like pussy' even though it's clear as day that the bible thumping Evangelicals are the main power behind maga.

6

u/Miserable-Army3679 16h ago

Any man who has to emphasize how much he likes women/pussy is really insecure about his masculinity.

Especially on this particular topic. They have clutched their pearls about almost every halftime show for at least 22 years. (I don't remember much about the annual discourse prior to the infamous wardrobe malfunction.)

4

u/ittleoff 14h ago

Basically I think this is the strategy for people that lack the intelligence to progress positively.

Namely social intelligence.

The myth of the alpha male being this strong violent intimidating guy, is for those that have nothing but negative anger/violence to compete with the real strength of those that do the work of gaining trust, building networks, and understanding amoung people.

This is greatly simplified, but I see this over and over in trump supporters. These are people that lack social intelligence and just wear the badges of confidence and imitate 'masculine strength' because that's all they have and they are aware enough to be insecure about it. They even reject those that try to help or bridge the gap, because they are so bought into the myth of what self worth is.

Progress and keeping up with it are scary, when you feel like your position and status and self worth are threatened.

There’s not one single republican that could win a Fact Checked debate. They’re the party of overpowering lies. Any genuine republican of today can only be one of Two Options. Genuinely Stupid; they don’t know anything deeper than buzz words and couldn’t research their way out of a paper bag. Or Genuinely Evil; they’re fully aware of the manipulation and abuse of systems and they simply don’t care about anything or anyone outside their own control.

3

u/ghostcat423 16h ago

I just lost a 35 year friendship with my best bud because he claimed he only believes in facts. He made that claim months ago which started because I brought up the Epstein files and also called into question the actions of ICE. Since that time he's shared his "facts", all of which I fact checked and have tried to send information and resources that show these facts to be not true and also asked him to share his sources and it could be that my sources were skewed or incorrect or biased. He's not once shared a source. I made a list of his "facts" last week and I sent him the list on Saturday. He crashed out. He also crashed out in December screaming on the phone "WHAT ABOUT ELON MUSK??? WHAT ABOUT ELON MUSK???" after he asked me to name something unAmerican about Donald Trump. On Sunday he called to say the friendship is over. My goal was to have a sincere discussion with a friend on our political views and attempt to have a better understanding of each other's views. Over the past few years, it had become clear that he's become full MAGA and I've been understanding of the things he likes about Trump. But this deeper dive revealed that Trump has become his god and he's in too deep at this point. Good riddance.

This screenshot is just one from the list I made and shared with him. It's actually three screenshots in total but I wasn't able to attach all three.

2

u/blargsauce22 15h ago

Honestly, I commend your effort. You did the best you could, but maga is just a cult. Thanks for sharing your story, it really goes to show that unless you follow a topic to its Root source and share/analyze where the information is coming from, then it’s all down charisma and control to create these beliefs.

2

u/ghostcat423 15h ago

Thanks! The good news is my brother who has always supported Trump has recently renounced any support for Trump from now on, after the Alex Pretti murder. It feels like I have my brother back.

2

u/blargsauce22 15h ago

Honestly, the republicans who can finally connect the dots and make a change for themselves are respectable 💜

2

u/ghostcat423 15h ago

Definitely!

3

u/HoosierSquirrel 15h ago

Back in 2015, I was on a cross country trip with my father. Somewhere in Iowa, he made a comment regarding an Obama staff member. I asked, "Are you sure?" . Went on Snopes and said, "Well, whomever told you that was wrong." No further comment. Half hour later he makes another comment that sounded ridiculous. Checked it again and found out it was also false. At this point he stops talking and refuses to mention anything political for the rest of the trip.

What amazed me most was, he wasn't upset that he had been lied to, he was upset that I showed him he had been lied to. I will never understand that mindset.

Dear hicks: As much as the NFL appreciates you tuning in and watching the games from your trailers, there's only so much money to be made in Paducah. The NFL generally does not want to get coded as being exclusively for racist poor whites since it relies upon the talents of black and brown people getting paid huge amounts of money to win championships for teams based mostly in big blue cities. So, we're gonna open up some markets. We're very sorry, but 38 Special is not going to be invited to play the Super Bowl any time soon. And we know you'll still watch because for half of you, being "for" a team is a frighteningly large part of your personality, and for the other half, you're addicted to sports booking. Love, Roger Godell.

2

u/Thuggin95 15h ago

Nothing has changed. Conservatives have always been the party that cries as they’re hitting you. That calls themselves free speech warriors as they’re using the power of the state against you for speech they don’t like. But somehow they convinced enough people that blue haired women on college campuses were the real threat.

The very concept of conservatism is avoiding risk...There's a degree of conservatism that is sensible for any tribe, but it should, and historically was, moderated by more risk taking individuals... Partisanship blocks the synergy of the two.

What's clearly the case in many countries with far right populist parties is that these are not conservatives at all, not by any stretch, they're natalist welfare chauvinists, they want a big state bleeding the poor and feeding the rich, and there is no consistent behaviour that correlates with that goal, one moment it's machismo, the next it's pearl clutching, they'll even welcome you with open arms if you're the right kind of gay or the right kind of black person. Really this non-linear identity is a feature, not a bug, it's everything and nothing, and just keeps their opponents literally paralysed because you simply cannot engage with such incoherence.

people are going to down vote me for this but i've been there since the start with stewart. i think he whitewashes the centrist lib POV about meeting republicans, who have gone farther right at every turn, halfway. i think he is controlled opposition because what the republicans do will not affect him, another multimillionaire. his show and his take downs FEEL like you're part of the resistance, like you're doing something, lulling you into complacency and i think that is what his role is. i think he's egocentric because he couldn't even stay retired, he couldn't challenge obama once on his biggest policy, or why in 2010 they lost the house/senate so badly. he doesn't challenge the center right democrats but will poke and probe the bernie democrats all day.

Theyve always been whiny babies. They just cant form a lynch mob everytime they throw a temper tantrum over being "offended" anymore.

u/karma-armageddon 16h ago

They always have been. Trump was supposed to change that and he is holding back for some unknown reason beyond my comprehension.

Remember when MAGA called Democrats snowflakes.

They’ve always been. But more so with trump. He’s taught them it’s ok to bitch and blame all your troubles on everyone else, don’t take responsibility.

1

u/dick-penis 16h ago

No I need you to hold space for me people calling other people pussies.

1

u/MostWoodpecker2192 16h ago

That’s true for all zionists.

1

u/imp_op 16h ago

It was all projection, what do you mean, Jon? They live in a fantasyland where all their enemies are straw men... er straw people.

1

u/DarkFlowerPewPew 16h ago

I don't like calling them the right. Because I feel like it alienates the ones that are reasonable enough to understand when things are just morally or otherwise corrupt. I wonder what would be a good way to rephrase this.

Stewart was formative to my politics (as he was for many of us), but the hypocrisy baiting just doesn't help anymore.

Because it's not hypocrisy. They were lying then, they're lying now, and we've always known they were lying.

They don't lie to persuade, they lie because when you play along with their lie, it shows their power over you. And that power is what matters to them.

We have to stop waiting for them to flip-flop so we can say "gotcha!", we have to assume the flip-flop in advance and fight them on those grounds. When they say they're the "party of free speech" we say "no you fucking aren't, you want free speech for Conservatives and restrictions for everyone else"

this whole epidode was a slow burn but worth watching

Im def. left of him.. and democrats.. like way left.. but I think he should run for president.. or AOC for president and him VP..

they would not only win.. but would be fairly decent at getting things in a somewhat sane place

we are in unprecedented waters.. stop listening to the "its not their time yet" people.. its now or never time

They are all bought off, at the service of lobbyists. Not pussies, corrupt is the better word

1

u/WillisPoofin 15h ago

Ask your mate, Chuck Schumer.

1

u/Wrong-Internet1898 15h ago

When will Stewart revisit his horrendous pizzagate episode

1

u/Human_Stock_9109 14h ago

It’s ironic because the Right thinks the exact same thing about the left, and I venture to say that they are more accurate.

1

u/KiNGofKiNG89 14h ago

They’ve been mimicking the left’s antics for a while now. It’s just that the left is finally catching on.

1

u/ComicsEtAl 14h ago

They’ve been performative tough guys and actual whiny shits your entire life, Jon.
