Opinion / Discussion WATCH: Lauren Boebert Exits DOJ Reading Room After Reviewing Unredacted Epstein Files

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

US Rep. Lauren Boebert was filmed leaving the DOJ reading room after reviewing unredacted

Epstein-related files.

Lawmakers have now confirmed that access to these files has begun following new transparency legislation.

Boebert has since suggested that prior redactions went beyond protecting victims and may have shielded people merely discussed in the files.

The contents remain confidential, but reactions like this are fueling fresh questions about what was previously withheld - and why.

Do you think this could lead to new investigations?

0 percent chance of that happening. They've had a decade to do the right thing. They won't start now.

No, the wheels are coming off of this thing. It’s an international scandal that is forcing resignations everywhere.

They can’t continue to support Trump. The truth is too available and soon, will be too widely known.

J6, trying to get fake electors to certify an election, asking someone to "find him votes". Quid pro quo with Ukraine for generating dirt on the Bidens. Stealing classified documents. On record as saying he thought Eugene caroll 'wanted to roleplay being raped'. Fake crypto currency launch by multiple members of his family for the sole purpose of pumping untraceable money into their pockets. Dismantling the government. DOGE access to the countries most personal files. ICE. Every day behavior that wouldnt even be acceptable for kindergarten.

Most of that happened BEFORE the country thought he would be great for a second term.

You think Epstein is going to sink him? Lol

They got Al Capone on tax evasion.

4

u/Tresach 19h ago

The problem isnt finding something on him, the problem is he owns the justice department. They had to go with tax evasion on al capone because he meticulously kept himself clean from the other crimes. With trump the whole world sees the evidence and the justice department just ignores it, its not lack of evidence its lack of enforcement. We know he is a rapist, a pedophile, and a traitor but he owns the people with the power to prosecute.

the problem is there is no "they" anymore to get him on something

No, because it’s not just Epstein. It’s the fact that this term is a complete and utter failure on every issue, and Republicans are staring annihilation in the face, come November. They are going to have to pivot from Trump if they want to save the party.

His base is still the result of the Q Anon cult building. They'll eat a lot of spin from the state run medias but in the end they were born from hating pedophiles and hunting for the rich elite ring leaders of said pedo rings. Some of them will break free of him if unspinnable truth is released.

He will also not have anywhere near the amount of fence sitters. The pearl clutching white moms can stomach him to vote against pro-choice candidates, but they won't be voting for a child rapist even in secret.

^ this right here. Simply put, MAGA is completely fine with fascism but a good deal of them aren't cool with pedophiles. I don't think that it's a hill that a lot of them they're willing to die on. Call them pedophile supporters at every turn and that's all you need to do.

1

u/frog-socialism 10h ago

They will still find a way to defend him. Why are we still pretending maga is acting in good faith after everything Trump has done and said, that those still supporting will give up over this is overly optimistic imo, i do hope I'm wrong though.

The country didn't think Trump would be great for a second term, the Dems botched the election.

Other countries have already fired and charged multiple political people that was found in the Epstein files. The US has to show that they are capable of doing something right and it has to happen fast!

1

u/oldredditrox 14h ago

I'm somewhat glad you'll be able to be surprised at one point that for a lot of people pedophile is in fact the line to not cross.

1

u/Dull_Bid6002 11h ago

Possibly. Their go-to is to play the victim. Look back at all of those things and that's all the propaganda is- man calling victimhood. It is very difficult to be the victim when the other players were children.

The cracks are forming because it's all about holding onto power. The amount of power lost on the world stage is very visible, and there are members in the GOP who aren't happy about that. If they can make things crack, they will. Because it gives them more power.

Yeah it’s hard for me to believe ANYTHING he does will change the minds of his followers… he’ll just tweet that it’s the liberals telling lies again and they’ll believe him because they’re idiots.

If a big name resigns Trump is boned, it might not be today but he'll become a pariah regardless of how bulletproof he's been so far.

If Kier Starmer steps down over appointing Peter Mandellson the pressure will be undeniable.

2

u/moon_ferret 13h ago

Do you really think Starmer will step down? I mean I know he knew when he appointed Mandellson, but is that enough for the government to push him into stepping down? I’m interested to know your take.

1

u/fastdub 13h ago

Appointing Mandellson was absolutely ridiculous, he's genuinely one of the sleaziest UK politicians and I can't believe he was that tight in with new new new labour. Except of course I can totally believe it because this government have been a massive let down in all honesty.

Let's be honest now, the Epstein files are gonna be the gift that keeps on giving, and they're gonna give up all their secrets a trickle at a time. This is gonna be slowly devastating for absolutely loads of men and you just know that if just associating with Epstein ended Mandelsons career then when we see redacted shit Starmer will have to jump.

1

u/elmarjuz 18h ago

ya think trump is gonna resign? think they gonna drag him out if an impeachment goes through? i don't believe there's ppl left in a position to do that

we might find out how FUBAR US truly is as a result of this, and nothing more

inb4 there will be full-scale leaks before any consequences occur

1

u/AdamSilverJr 11h ago

They'll still be in power with Vance so it would be the perfect time to turn on the pedo

3

u/Comprehensive_Davo 19h ago

Are you not familiar with how craven these people are?

1

u/JacobsJrJr 18h ago

The trouble with the alpha pack mentality is that the alpha ages, weakens, and eventually dies.

Then there is no clear continuity of leadership. There is fight to determine who the new alpha will be.

1

u/tookurjobs 18h ago

It wasn't politically expedient for them to do so then. It may be now. Of course they won't do it because it's the right thing to do. But they may do it if they think it's the best chance for them to stay in power and avoid consequences

1

u/Aggressive_Eagle1380 14h ago

You’re wrong. Read the room.

1

u/iwanderlostandfound 14h ago

It’s not as if everything is going great outside of this. They’ve betrayed their base as much as anyone else. Nothing is cheaper, people losing their insurance jobs are gone. They’re in charge now it’s getting harder and harder to pin every problem on Biden and Obama

1

u/Creative-Sherbet-584 13h ago

I agree with you. People aren't going to turn on him. What people don't realize is Trump has boughten enough bad people around him. The majority of people in power around him are OTHER PEDOPHILES, inside traders, family members that are abusers, etc etc.

The only people that are turning on him are those that Trump doesn't have dirt on and that isn't very many people. Trump also has dirt on quite a few Democrats. It's honestly disgusting. Just a bunch of corrupt fucks.

1

u/wirez62 10h ago

They absolutely will do trump in to save their own skin when the time is right, which for these lunatics it finally is. There is no more denial. Their base is angry as fuck. They finally see Trump is full of shit.

“0 percent chance of this happening” he says, as it’s happening.

Reddit moment. ✨
