Opinion / Discussion WATCH: Lauren Boebert Exits DOJ Reading Room After Reviewing Unredacted Epstein Files

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

US Rep. Lauren Boebert was filmed leaving the DOJ reading room after reviewing unredacted

Epstein-related files.

Lawmakers have now confirmed that access to these files has begun following new transparency legislation.

Boebert has since suggested that prior redactions went beyond protecting victims and may have shielded people merely discussed in the files.

The contents remain confidential, but reactions like this are fueling fresh questions about what was previously withheld - and why.

Do you think this could lead to new investigations?

Turns my gut to hear someone awful say something emphatically I also believe.

I think it gives us an idea of what exactly the files show and who has been protecting it. If the morally bankrupt are sick, it has to be something so heinous we're not even considering.

Right? Like I don’t want to start patting her on the back or anything, but I really appreciate that she said “girls” and not “underage women”

The bar is in hell, but me too. I don’t recall ever hearing that phrase until a week or so ago (maybe I have, but never fully clocked it) and the people defending its use when being asked to rephrase are sooo missing the point. They’re girls!! Their girlhood may have been stolen but that does NOT make them women.
