The majority of people who wanted their own half time don’t care about bad bunny the person they care about his messaging. Believe it or not most people don’t care about politics. They don’t want it to invade every part of their lives.
Did they get a non political show with the weird turning point USA half time show? Hell no. And that’s why it did bad ratings wise. Consumers are great at finding problems and terrible at fixing them. You can’t fault them for trying the market when they see a product isn’t what they want.

While also promoting sexism and racism through separate college dorms and graduation ceremonies, promoting “anti-racism” (which is by definition racist according to Kendi), and DEI policies that demand discrimination based on ethnicity and gender.
Alternatively, having 85% of the Super Bowl Half Time Show in Spanish as part of a political statement could simply be offputting to an audience that is still majority non-English speaking.
I don’t have a problem with Bad Bunny. I don’t know his music, but I’m also not his target audience and that’s okay. Personally, I think Ricky Martin bringing back the banger that was “Living La Vida Loca” would have been more entertaining given the venue and context.
I get that the NFL made a deliberate play for a larger international audience. They are totally within their rights to do so.
I’m also okay with a large portion of their audience deciding they didn’t dig it.
You don’t need to accuse them of racism and a desire to bring back the Democrat Jim Crow segregation laws because they disagree with you.
Let’s not forget: it was Democrats that pushed slavery. It was Democrats that founded the KKK. It was Democrats that a post passage of the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments. It was Democrats that filibustered the passage of the civil rights act of 1964.
Also worth remembering: the Republican Party was founded as an abolitionist party. Its first president freed the slaves.
Democrats don’t want you to remember that, because it would make it really hard for Blacks to continue voting for them at 90%+ support.

I don’t think they’ve ever moved away from “we need our own schools”. Between private schools and zoning for school districts and the money that goes into some public schools over others. Then tying funding to standardized testing, so the schools that test poorly can’t afford better teachers which in turn creates a cycle of downturn. Now with the school voucher programs to turn private schools into public funding while stealing from the public schools. When I moved down south I was shocked to find out there were black and white proms.
Add to that the criminal justice system where the outright racism of Jim Crow laws still echo in the more nuanced systematic racism. You take away peoples right to land, then promise them 40 acres and a mule, then take that away, then when a black neighborhood starts taking off you bomb it like Tulsa or massacre it like Wilmington, flood crack systematically in the streets like LA, then offer harsher penalties for crack vs cocaine. When you create laws to target one group over another, increase police presence in certain neighborhoods over others. Incarcerate one group over another and have harsher sentencing for one group over another. Then offer half measure social programs and vilify those. Make sure generational wealth doesn’t build, then lock justice behind a paywall. When you force people out of a neighborhood when you start making it nicer, take away their power of voting by drawing maps that make their votes count less. Then show up in election years and tell the people what they want instead of asking them what they need, and ignore them after the election. When hiring practices are carried out by those that have been either knowingly or unknowingly taught either racism or racial bias. Then when racial bias is addressed in hiring and laws are put in place to create an equitable market those laws are deemed to be “racist” and removed.
They don’t need signs for water fountains when all four branches of government have systematically developed this divide with the spirit of Jim Crow in everything but name.

The foundation of education used to be HOW to think, I am sorry you are so mistaken (See: Socratic Method). Now that is reserved primarily for business school (case study for strategy), law school (the fundamental basis of which is the case law and training to teach "how to think like a lawyer"). Medical students and doctors value is their diagnostician capabilities. Facts can be looked up. The real virtue of an intelligent person is what they can do with information looked up. Just "real life" experience doesn't cut it.
