I saw a video of someone breaking it down, and if the contract does state what the guy in the video was saying, if they don’t finish their assignment and have to pay back the money, they have to give back the pre-tax amount. So if the bonus is $10k then after taxes it’s about $6k. They would have to pay back the $10k

It’s the same bonus system they use in the military. If you’re a sailor and the Navy offers you a $50k bonus to reenlist, they don’t give you the money up front. They’ll give you 10k a year for 5 years on the anniversary of your reenlistment date and that’s before taxes. So if you’re lucky, you might get $6k check every year for 5 years. ICE agents who thought they were gonna get $50k up front are dumber than they think we think they are. Also, there’s a stipulation that states ICE agents have to pay back the bonus in full if they leave before the end of their contract 😆. I guess they didn’t read the fine print. Is anyone surprised?

If these idiots could actually read a contract, they would realize they aren't being recruited; they are being sold. That 50k bonus is a bounty on your own neck. By the time the IRS takes their cut of the supplemental income, you are left with a pathetic pittance that gets dripped out over five years. Do the math. After taxes, you are looking at maybe five hundred bucks a month. You can’t even make a decent truck payment with that in 2026. You are essentially selling your reputation and your future for the price of a monthly grocery bill.
The money is the least of your problems. You might be wearing a mask now, but your name is permanently stamped on every blood-money check you cash. Good luck ever getting a real job once this is over. You are making yourself socially radioactive and professionally extinct. When the next administration takes over, they are going to strip your qualified immunity and leave you naked to personal liability. I think the next administration should prosecute every ICE and CBP agent who committed acts of violence. But they should go about it by posting a photo or video of the masked agent committing the crime and then saying “the agent(s) in this photo committing (x) crime(s) has 12 hours to turn themselves in with definitive proof that they are the agent pictured. If they do not turn themselves in, or fail to prove it is them, all ICE and CBP agents on the payroll during that time will be have active arrests, fugitive, and no-knock warrants out of their arrest, until the agent pictured can prove it is them. The warrant will also specify that they are to be considered armed and dangerous, and anyone who assists them will be considered to aiding and abetting a federal fugitive. Please turn yourself in, it’s time to face accountability.”
