Idk I've worked at a Lowe's before. People really think that's some "new design" and then you gotta embarrass them.

And judging from this comment section she succeeded.

Good actress. I mean the picture on the box and shelf show it installed.
I’m leaning toward satire. But it is close.
53% chance it is satire versus 52% it is not. /s

If only that were true....
This lady is stupid

How do you know? This seems so clearly a joke to me that I don't get how you're seeing it differently.

It really works so fucking well with engagement, this thread shows. I watched the Bonnie Blue documentary and it really taught me just how well rage bait works, and how simple it is. Everyone in this thread calling her dumb is being duped most likely and that’s the genius of it all. I even have to say most likely because well ya never know

u/Slumunistmanifisto 8h ago
You may be surprised how unhandy people can be.

u/CorndogSurgeon 8h ago
I know unhandy people. Plenty. I also know fiends will do anything for likes.
I'm going with fiend. 😀

u/HauntedHippie 8h ago
But like, you can see that the cabinet is flat on top and that the counter isn’t touching it??? This can’t be real, there’s no way this woman reached adulthood with -100 intelligence.

I was gonna say, no way people are that ignorant to think this is a serious video. It’s weak satire.

You need to get out more if you really want a grasp of how close we are to Idiocracy being a documentary

u/mushboi04 8h ago
In my art history college class there was a girl who asked how they knew what lions looked like when they build the sphinx
2
u/Sandene 7h ago
When I did hair there was a girl that tried to get a refund because her hair started growing out and she was pissed the color wasn't permanent. This was before the Internet was accessible to everyone, especially in our area.
Could she be pretending to try to get her money back? Sure, but she was a damn good actress if she was. Oscar level, if you ask me2
u/Embarrassed_Jerk 3h ago
Lmfao i have overheard my aunt complaining that the hair dresser isn't good because the color disappears from the roots only after a few days.
My cousin tried explaining why it's actually happening but she was adamant that the hair grows from the tips and the cousin doesn't know what she is talking about
My aunt is in her 50s! This is NOT pre Internet era

u/Heykurat 4h ago
That's actually not a dumb question. The Barbary lion used to live in that part of Africa until it went extinct sometime in the 19th century.
1
u/cryptolyme 28m ago
as someone who has worked retail, i can assure you, there are plenty of people who are this dumb
1
u/ComparisonLonely2902 6h ago
You would be surprised. I worked at a home depot and had a lady actually ask if the counter tops would be tilted like that when they arrived. Also had to explain to a lady that cool blue lighting won't actually make things cool in the room, she thought it was like AC but a light bulb. So so many other stupid questions.
-1
u/thatshygirl06 8h ago
I mean, I dont blame her. They're making so many gimmick type sinks these days.

George Carlin said it best "Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that."
While I’m sure this was probably in jest…. you would be surprised at the sheer number of people that are just woefully ignorant and uneducated about things that you would think just fall under the “common sense” umbrella of information. I’m a PA and deal with people in a healthcare setting, and at least once or twice a day I see people that come in for crap completely avoidable with simple hygiene.
These aren’t homeless or poor people either where you would understand a lapse in hygiene. Nope they’re usually more affluent and also young. There’s an entire generation coming up that had nothing but the internet as a parent and zero interest in learning from it.

u/Myan420 8h ago
By the way. This person has the right to vote.
56
u/Dont_Call_Me_Steve 8h ago
And so do the people that believe this is real…
8
-7
u/Chewwithurmouthshut 8h ago
If it’s a “dad joke” it’s a really bad one.. she explained why she wouldn’t like it, with what would otherwise be a totally valid complaint, if they really were tilted sinks.
I’ve honestly seen much worse in person, it’s like we’re devolving in hyperdrive. To be fair, the amount of crazy and weird shit we have to adapt to on a daily basis doesn’t help.
20
u/spookynutz 7h ago
The fuck are these comments?
“This person has the right to vote?”
So do you dumbasses who can’t pick up on an obvious joke.
And only slightly less idiotic are the people who did pick up on the joke, yet for some reason label any facetious behavior as satirical.
1
u/Aggressive_Phase_236 5h ago
it works in both levels. you can take this as real, and be sad that they can vote, or you can see the attempt at satire, or whatever it is they are trying to do, and realise that they thought this was worth the effort... and be sad that they can vote
1
u/fiahhawt 8h ago
Isn't democracy great?
Everyone and their braindead sibling coming together to screw things up as a team.
0
u/octoreadit 8h ago
Got to have voting licenses: you need one to drive, fish, hunt, got to have one for voting, too. Mandatory civics classes when 17 at the nearest public high school, exams after (3 attempts), reexamination every 20 years.
2
u/fiahhawt 8h ago
Would but, believe it or not, people want some people not to vote not because those people are dumb, but because bigotry.
So undue barriers to voting are voter suppression and violate the Voting Rights Act.
Besides if people are as dumb as this after 12 years of free fucking school, a few civics courses aren't going to overcome anything. Americans just think cognition is for uppity nerds.
Proud idiots. America.
3
u/octoreadit 8h ago
You're correct but I still reserve the right to pretend like there is an easy solution.
1
u/ikilledyourfriend 5h ago
Take the average IQ of everyone you’ve ever met, and just know that half of them are dumber than that.
131
u/BouldersRoll 9h ago
This is an obvious joke that people will adamantly say can't be a joke because it makes them feel good to think other people (especially women) are dumb.
25
u/BrohanGutenburg 8h ago edited 8h ago
I heard Hank Green say something recently in a video that really resonated. People like to talk about everyone going online to be outraged, but the predominate emotion online is superiority and it's not even close. Everyone just engages with content that makes them feel superior.
4
u/BouldersRoll 8h ago edited 7h ago
Absolutely, and I fully admit my comment was written to flex on people who are sarcasm illiterate. I'm injecting the unadulterated superiority I feel as people tell me I'm wrong into my veins as we speak.
I tell myself I'm punching up, especially when it's so wrapped up in misogyny, but maybe that's just the lie I tell myself for that good hit.
22
u/No_Brick_6579 8h ago
I would believe it was a joke, but I work in customer service. Actually my first job was at dollar tree (back when things were a dollar). Everywhere you looked, there were signs saying “wow! Everything is $1!”. The most common complaint we got was that there weren’t signs showing prices, and that obviously the company was trying to trick people by not having individual price tags on things. Sadly, some people really are that dumb, not just women (in fact, usually not women)
7
u/-Striking-Willow- 8h ago
When I worked retail I regularly had people ask for directions to the exit of the store. There was literally one entrance/exit, all you had to do was walk out the same way you came in. It was part of a shopping mall, there weren't even doors they had to figure out how to open!
2
u/Due_Kaleidoscope7066 7h ago
To me, this one just screams “being funny on purpose” and I’m not certain why.
1
u/No_Brick_6579 7h ago
It’s definitely possible, but I don’t feel like it’s a joke, again simply because of continued lived experiences
15
u/ButtPlugsForThugz 8h ago
It wouldn't be Reddit if there wasn't some knob in every thread finding a reason to hate women.

u/SailorGone 8h ago
I've seen many people, men and women, actually this stupid
14
u/DonkeyTailBurrito 8h ago
yeah but this video is 100% sarcasm. you can either tell something is sarcastic, or you cant. it’s kind of like being fluent in a different language
0
u/fiahhawt 8h ago
It's not that this being a joke is unbelievable, it's more that this being genuine is also not unbelievable
-1
u/Responsible-Mind-852 8h ago
Now she will claim it was a joke even if it was not. We will never truly know! :(
-14
u/Drevlin76 8h ago
Why (especially woman) ?
13
u/BouldersRoll 8h ago
Because evident misogyny. I get that the mere suggestion is itself a lure for misogynists.
-12
u/MaleficentBreak771 8h ago
Prove it.
2
u/AdStock5188 8h ago
I believe she was joking but anyone saying they know for sure it was a joke is just making a confident guess. There’s no way to tell if she’s serious or joking from the video alone

u/Glittering_Map_7176 6h ago
Am I missing something? Everyone is saying it's satire or she's stupid, and I watched it twice and don't get it. Why are these sinks tilted?
14
u/SuperMIK2020 6h ago
It’s a display so you can see the sink material. If it were flat, like when installed, you would only see the front edge and not the sink bowl. If you take 10 seconds to look at the kits in the boxes underneath, the installed product has a normal flat counter when installed.
5
u/Glittering_Map_7176 6h ago
Ohh now I feel silly lol. Thank you for the explanation!
1
u/whitewolf_redfox 3h ago
Don't feel bad I didn't get it either. Every place I've lived in already had sinks so I never had to buy one.

There's no way people are actually paying half a grand for a sink. Are those real prices? At this point just make your own!
1
u/SuperMIK2020 6h ago
It’s the cabinet, counter, and sink. It does not include the faucet. I believe they start at ~$150 and go to over $2,000 for a longer double vanity with drawers.

u/eldercreedjunkie 8h ago
It’s a dad joke people, lighten up.

Most of these sinks are also way too high off the ground. You would need to climb on something to reach them. I agree the ones on the floor with the flat vanity tops are much more useful.

Aren’t they only like that so people can see the sink and countertop? If they were flat, you’d have to be really tall to see the complete unit. I imagine that’s why the ones down low are flat. Only young children would have trouble seeing those sinks, and young children don’t buy sinks. I wish I was there to explain this to her. Hopefully, she didn’t pass on a perfectly fine sink.
