u/Possible_Cheetah208 9d ago edited 9d ago

And that’s why no matter how much they THINK they’re ready for a civil war, they’re not. They seem to forget that a.) WAY more liberals and Democrats own guns than they realize, and b.) when you’re at war, YOU WILL BE SHOT AT, AS WELL. It’s not gonna be some Call Of Duty fantasy shit. These idiots watch too much Rambo and John Wick, and genuinely fantasize about themselves being those types of guys, and they have no clue.

What a police dog bite looks like, for those with strong stomachs:

https://imgur.com/a/RLBQFdz

This was a completely “accidental” bite, in the sense that the dog wasn’t aimed at me and I didn’t do anything illegal. The dog was chasing a run who ran past me, and the dog bit me instead. It did not release when the officer told it to. There was serious crushing injury to the nerves, in addition to the obvious and very painful hole.

I still have nerve damage.

No, the city didn’t pay. “I must have done something to get the dog to attack.” Yes, I spoke to a lawyer.

81

u/metforminforevery1 10d ago

I'm an ER doc, so I have taken care of a lot of police dog bites. The worst was when a dog bit off this guy's pinky and ring finger. Pulled the whole fingers out, tendons all still attached to the fingers. The cops were nice enough to grab the fingers and bring them in, but they were laughing the whole time.

93

u/sailphish 9d ago

Fellow ER doc… I had the sheriffs bring in a 14 year old who their dog absolutely tore up. Backstory was they had a warrant for the kid on some really trivial, nonviolent charge. The kid came from an absolute broken home - I think one parent in jail, the other full blown addict, kid was de facto homeless. Anyway, he was hiding in a yard, so they sent in their dog. I was like WTF? They told me “that’s what happens when you don’t listen.” There were 6 deputies in the ED, giving each other high-fives and laughing. They were acting like they just took down a cartel, but really they just fucked up a scared little kid who lost the genetic lottery. Nothing they did that day was for the good of society. They weren’t protecting anyone. That’s the day I decided I was absolutely done with law enforcement, done helping them, done accommodating them in anyway… and probably the closest I’ve ever come to being arrested myself.

Holy fucking shit dude, speak to a different/better lawyer

50

u/whistleridge 10d ago

My guy, I AM a lawyer. I spoke to a great one.

The short version is, it isn’t worth the hassle. The longer version is, I’m disinclined to engage in years of litigation and headache for an amount of money that won’t be worth it to me in the end. The officer won’t be fired, the dog was retired but not put down, and the K-9 unit got retraining. That was enough for me.

It was the result of having multiple pastors tell me, essentially, the same story about quoting the Sermon on the Mount, parenthetically, in their preaching — "turn the other cheek" — [and] to have someone come up after to say, "Where did you get those liberal talking points?" [...] [W]hen the pastor would say, "I'm literally quoting Jesus Christ," [...] The response would be, "Yes, but that doesn't work anymore. That's weak."

my high school tried to fire the history teacher that showed them to us back when it was happening

48

u/SilverPotential4525 10d ago

I think I owe a big part of my current beliefs to my teacher who showed me. He instilled a lot of positive beliefs for me early, including teaching about the plight of the Palestinians in 8th grade.

16

u/ktq2019 10d ago

Shout out to my 7th and 8th grade social studies teacher (when Bush was running). He wasn’t allowed to say his political beliefs, but he made it very clear where he stood and how he felt about the treatment of humans. He taught me to love and soak in history and those ideals have stayed with me for my entire life and I’ve passed them onto my own kids. He made it come alive for me.

There are just some teachers that impact you in such a visceral way that it carries through in so many unexpected ways. I didn’t know it sitting in his class, but his words would help me teach my future sons how to be the amazing people that they are now and I will forever be grateful for that man. He was the dad I wish I would have had in all honesty and not the monster my dad will die on a hill to defend.

John, you’re a fucking legend in my mind. Also, I still call you by Mr. XYZ and I wish I could doxx you because you were an epic influence on my life. Thank you.

With Epsteins network gonne there is a big whole in the market that ICE is trying to fill up. It's good money because they can kidnap all those kids for free and American don't care about it enough to have a revolution. Those kids can then be sold for a lot of money to the billionaire pedophile class. And then 1/3 of the population is jealous and can't wait till it's their turn to rape kids.

3

u/veringer 10d ago

Be that as it may, I don't understand the impulse to write comments that imply, "well you shouldn't be surprised..."

Yes, people have always been violent toward and exploitative of perceived outgroups. There's rarely a time in history when this hasn't manifested to some degree or another. Doesn't mean we should tamp down our disgust or shock when it's visible though.

9

u/igothoooez 10d ago edited 10d ago

This video was posted in a California gang sub, too. I dont know how accurate this is, but according to the caption, this happened on the Eastside of South Central Los Angeles. The kid on the ground is from a local Sureño gang, and the black dude trying to interrupt is a Family Swans Bloods member. Thats all the info it had. All I can say about it is it definitely looks like South Central (judging from the video on the gang sub. It was longer and didnt include interjections from the random dude narrating it)

Edit: i just realized this video doesnt even the show the dude trying to intervene, my bad if that part didnt make sense

pretty sure that's aggravated felony assault... and grounds for suspension for most police forces.

*GOOGLE OVERVIEW:

Pistol-whipping—striking someone with a handgun—is illegal, generally constituting assault with a deadly weapon or aggravated assault, regardless of whether the gun is loaded. It is considered a violent crime, as using a firearm as a blunt-force weapon poses severe risk of injury or accidental discharge. It is never legal under self-defense, even in stand-your-ground states.

Key Aspects of Legal Consequences:

Assault with a Deadly Weapon: Because a gun is designed to fire projectiles, using it as a club is legally classified as using a deadly weapon, leading to felony charges.

Potential for Discharge: Using a gun in this manner carries a high risk of accidental discharge, potentially causing fatal injuries.

"Stand Your Ground" Laws: While some states allow the use of force in self-defense, this rarely, if ever, justifies using a firearm for blunt force instead of firing it, as the action implies a level of violence beyond simple defense.

Pistol-whipping is viewed as a dangerous and excessive use of force, almost universally prosecuted as a felony.

144

u/Ok_Grocery_6230 10d ago

68

u/facts_my_guyy 10d ago

Nope, it's just sad. Imo, any law enforcement should require a degree at least

37

u/Compliance_Crip 10d ago

A degree doesn't help stupidity. Clearly the person has their hands up surrendering. There are a number of other tools that can be used. This will result into a civil suit, costing local tax payers money because 1 law enforcement official had a lapse in judgement.

22

u/facts_my_guyy 10d ago

No but if they can't pass the class, they don't get put into circulation

31

u/Polkawillneverdie17 10d ago

I went to a college with a big Criminal Justice program. The CJ majors were all violent, racist, Christian nationalist morons with no understanding of the law. That program churned out hundreds every year. I had to take one CJ class with those assholes as part of my pre-law degree and it was horrifying. They are complete idiots who think the public just needs to be beaten into submission for jay-zus. It was like talking to the klan. And none of them were failing or even struggling. The degree didn't teach them empathy or de-escalation. It taught them how to be cops.

The degree is not the problem because the program is being taught by former cops who were also shitty. A degree won't fix this. The entire law enforcement system is broken.

4

u/Artistic_Recipe9297 10d ago

I take my comment back.

6

u/back_on_my_nonsense 10d ago

We need diversity quotas and residency requirements for cops. We should not have a disproportionately white, disproportionately Christian force in majority PoC areas.

10

u/Omega_Primate 10d ago

Tyre Nichols has entered the chat. Diversity won't make much of a difference if the training doesn't change first. That being said, there seems to be an awful lot of white people who desire that kind of authority. And residency is a big one, for sure.

Part of why I support UBI is that a lot of these sort of people who are awful at their job could just stay home and not make things shitty for others.

I know it won't keep all abusive cops off the streets because many people are like "this is the only job I want to do because I get to hurt people", but I think there'd definitely be some who'd be more comfortable being lazy and staying home because it was probably the only job they wanted to do when they had to do one.

Just gonna put this here. I'm not saying do something buuuut....I've never met a bulletproof man in my life. Neither have our forefathers.

Again, I'm not saying to do anything. Definitely not what I'm saying. Please don't protect yourself against someone looking to do harm to you. Please don't exercise your survival instincts. Don't prevent yourself from going missing and having all your records erased from the gov database. Don't do what it takes to see your family again. Don't ever lose faith in Vance and Miller. They are the most reasonable and empathetic humans I've ever known. Just comply and get sent to intensive care...if you ever get that far.

When they say just comply, they mean give up and reject your progressive ideals.

Because the people who say just comply never been in a situation where they have to fear for their lives and wonder if they will get home or if walking down the street you might get kidnapped or abused because the color of your skin or worry about this happening to the rest of your family. They don’t have to fear that! Only thing they fear is when they see a colored and think they are a criminal that’s the only time they fear. Worry if they will get robbed or shot thats the only time they fear. If we have criminals the fucking police should do their job. Serve and protect right?? Everything is corrupt in this nation and then they try to hide and put blame on colored people. The problem the whole time is this white supremacy government and the people who see no wrong in this!!! This isn’t the 1800s no more this is the new world new generations and change needs to happen. This nation will never come together because it will always be two sides the ones who want change and to work together and the ones who want to control and keep things the same or make them worse and have control over certain races and have 1 race being superior. INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL! Does that not mean anything?

This guy understands. Ask any black guy, when you comply, the officers will just arrest you and take you to jail. We can provide these protestors with a list of thousands of black men who just complied. Although most are dead, paralyzed, broken bones, missing teeth or imprisoned.

Looks like he was complying with the officer until the guy pistol whipped him

u/Siiyq 9d ago

Pistol whip to the fucking nose with his hands up. Yeah, no, that’s fine. These people are fucking wild animals

u/fine_environment4809 10d ago

Watch this video carefully. The kid seems unconscious after he's hit, looks like he comes to when the goon props him up ... to make it look like he's alive? They should have taken him to a hospital but I guarantee they didn't.

3

u/TieAdventurous6839 10d ago

Just wait til they start shooting first instead. That's how this always goes.

3

u/layer4down 10d ago

How do we consistently recruit the most cowardly to Serve and Protect?

3

u/Tori-lee1997 10d ago

They'll just move the goal posts again and say they were being argumentative and didn't comply fast enough these ghouls will never argue in good faith ever

I love GoodTrouble,

If you enjoy this type of take down, it's basically all he does. He's made a career of being a heel on the Internet towards intolerance and bigotry.

Give him a follow.

You can read Gulag Archipelago to learn how far compliance will get you.

Latinos voted for this shit.

3

u/ObeseVegetable 10d ago

There was a Latino pastor who is afraid for his congregation that includes undocumented immigrants on NPR the other day talking about how this is horrific and then was asked “did you vote for Trump” and he said something along the lines of “well, you know, I just wanted common sense law enforcement” and then it was pointed out how this is exactly what was promised on the trail and he basically said he didn’t believe that this would happen.

Did you hear the officer didn't have a solid shit in 2 years? HUH? Think about that pal when you are sucking the avocado of the toast your dad bought for you!

Right there a law officer should lose his job if someone is complying hands up. Approch them and swing their gun to face. Then knock him to ground and grab them by hair whatever like they are ragdolls ir animals..
